The villains don’t really love their children. They are working through that in the first book. The villains see them as a means to an end. Don’t want to give away a spoilers but Ben/Mal is better explained and so is Bens relationship with Audrey and why he is becoming king at 16.
Great book, movie okay. Now the book was written after the script was complete. They gave the script to the author and said we need a prequel. Interesting twist.

Hubby and I fast-forwarded through all of them but Evil Like Me. The prequel of the book was so much better than the movie and I am glad they are writing a series. There were gut-wrenching parts of the book with the villains and their children. However, in the movie the villains were more comedic instead of evil.
I mean Cruella forces Carlos to sleep in a corner on the floor of her fur closet.
Or the reason why Jafar is a thief now. It goes back to a quote from Aladdin, “The Golden Rule: Whoever Has the Gold Makes the Rules.” So on the Isle of Lost they steal everything to try to have the gold.
Hubby did wonder why they didn’t do this movie justice. He brought up a solid point that the concept was there to make a blockbuster film if they had taken the time and money to see it through. I have to agree with this point. I will be reading more of the series and of course watching it. They portrayed them correctly, except for Ben whom is shy like his mother. Didn’t get that from the movie.

kpercymanParticipantJo. I like it but at first I thought it was a bra!!!
I was like someone will be nice and toasty this winter. lOl!
I do love the yarn 🙂 it creates a beautiful pattern.
Currently making the artfully simple angled scarf/wrap from moogly. It’s coming out nice. Sitting on my porch listening to Beauty and the Beast soundtrack while making it and DH is grilling. Too bad it’s 90 with humidity. Yuck!
kpercymanParticipantI would say he is dead because I don’t see the actor able to film the beginning of OUAT due to his obligation on Cedar Cove. He is awesome as Moon and was the highlight as the apprentice on OUAT.
kpercymanParticipantI am working on my pixel blanket of a minion. I am hoping to finish it this summer. There will be over 200 squares. Eep!!
Also, I have to begin on the Christmas Stockings that are the felt ones. I have 3 more to make and a tree skirt. It took me 3 months to make one so I might have two done before Christmas this year.
I just need summer and to be off, then I will be able to craft more. Love everybody’s stuff!
kpercymanParticipantI’m so excited!!! I just can’t hide it!!!
I love that Merlin is the sorcerer. I have wanted Camelot for so long I screamed “YES!” really loud when the Apprentice said his name. DH just gave me a weird look. I mean it is Merlin! I heart Merlin.
