[adrotate group="5"]I’m going on a limb and saying that the ring was Pans. We know that Robbie is coming back. We saw no flashbacks between Hook & Pan. Who’s to say that they weren’t friends once and that Pan gave it to him? Or perahaps Hook stole it?
So I just went back to the Season 3 finale and rewatched it from when Emma, Hook and Marion / Zelena returned from the past. Turns out Ruby isn’t anywhere in the diner. I suppose that since Ruby was very involved in the past section of the episodes, Emma and Hook could have done something which might have screwed up her future which resulted in her not being swept up in any curse.
Still, it’ll be interesting to see how they write their way around this (If they even do give an explanation).

That first part sounds like it’s happening in Camelot during the forgotten 6 weeks and then it heads into Flashbacks.
I’m really, really worried that the writers have forgotten that Ruby was in Storybrooke during 3B.
