Am I the only one who is loving this sneak peek? I think it’s great writting. It shows that Rupmle is a little less sneaky. The old Ruple wouldn’t even consider talking to Hook. He would just kill him or make him forget of something becouse of their past. And I love that Hook must learn the hard way that sometimes you just have to let go. I dosen’t matter if the hand was cursed or not. Hook has to deal with his past sefl and accept that part of him to truly move on. Fantastic character development here. If there weren’t any backslides for both of them, it just would not be realistic at all. It is hard to change your habits not imposible but very, very hard. I think this scene is perfect. I want more interactions between them.
[adrotate group="5"]I saw Emma’s date outfit and, whilst it might be a nice dress, it doesn’t really suit Emma’s style. It makes her look too innocent. I could imagine teen Emma wearing that dress for her first ever date with a boy (if Emma had had a happy family filled childhood) but not adult Emma. I have the same problem with the Belle dress in the promo pics, it makes Belle look too innocent. In fact I’d go so far as to say that the writing of Belle in season 4 so far has really played up the innocence factor, perhaps to make Rumple’s actions seem worse than they are? White Out was a great episode for CS.
I think they are going the kind of first date route. It’s interesting, because it could show a lot of issues and lost opportunities. Not only CS stuff but also Snow and Charming, perhaps even Elsa. I do like how Hook and Emma kinda act like teenagers in promo . It’s cute. It is obvoius the date will end badly. But everyone will grow from it and maybe we’ll get a more CS like date. When they won’t be so … nervous about it and act like they normaly do.
I think that those outfits represent a happy time in Belle’s life. She’s wearing light, happy colors. Rumple is just being Rumple. We dont’t know what his agenda is. My guess is it’s rather gray then black.
I ‘ve really loved this episode. Not just in CS terms, although I fell so spoiled by all thoese “one time Things”.
They’re throwing them left and right. More closeups of kisses please….The story and character development this season have been fantastic so far.
As for various reviews I’ve read… I find some of them really unprofessional. My husband has been a cultural reviewer once so I know, what I’m talking about. I’ve been his beta reader more times then I can count. And those full of hate- have the sane thing in comon- Hook hate and lack of understnding some of basic psychology. When somone writes that Emma’s fear of losing the man, she could love is not good enough reason to push him away I just rool my eyes. Becouse for her it’ a realy important reason. Rumple, described as an addict, is prone to slip back into his old ways, despite his love for Bell being true. Regina is struglling to stay on the light side but old habits die hard.
This season is going to be overall fantastic.
I have a sneaking feeling that we’re heading that way this season. What else is there for Rumple and Hook to fight over at this point? Hook let go of his vengeance, so that’s not between them anymore. If anything, I think Hook will be the one to help Rumple realize that the way he is treating Belle right now is wrong and wouldn’t that be something? The pirate and the Dark One’s rival ends up being conscious.

I love a Rumple too (hence my screen name) but I honestly believe the only person who could EVER destroy Rumbelle is Rumple himself. Even if they use Hook as a means to move a storyline forward that involves Belle discovering that Rumple gave her a fake dagger and is still struggling with being dark – he would be only that, a means to move the storyline forward – it would still be Rumple’s struggle with overcoming his addiction to magic and power that is the problem, not Hook. I mean look at the scene in the last episode. Look at how Rumple interacted with Hook. Charming and Hook go to ask Rumple for help with saving Emma. Hook acknowledges that Rumple is the Dark One and is therefore powerful enough to destroy the ice cave. I love Rumple but why was he such a jerk towards Hook? Making a big deal about how he COULD destroy the cave but it would also destroy his girlfriend??? Just as a nice jab to remind him that he destroyed his LAST girlfriend??? Like, sure but then I’m gonna kill this girlfriend just like I killed your last. I get that he is upset about Neal dying and everything but dude is messed up right now and doesn’t appear to be in the right frame of mind in general. So I don’t think Hook is likely to DO anything to negatively affect Rumple’s growth, if anything he might RESPOND in a way that reveals what Rumple is up to but ultimately that might be exactly what is needed for a Rumple to have true character growth. I actually wonder if they are working toward having Hook and Rumple ultimately bond in some way. I’ve actually wondered why they don’t get along now. I mean Milah treated Rumple like crap and now he is married to his TL Belle, so in hindsight Milah leaving him allowed him to find him his TL. And CS is pretty much shaping up to be TL as well so if Milah had lived Killian would never had found Emma. So in bizarre ways Rumple and Hook’s actions both lead the other to find their TL’s. Not that I think that excuses killing people or going on a 300 year quest for revenge. But ultimately that IS what resulted from those things. So really I don’t get what their problem with each other is anymore. So if they can have Hook and Rumple work together to have Rumple end up with character growth, they could end up bonding. Just a theory.

I think the only way for Rumple to be true to Bell, is giving up his magic entirely. Like recovering alcoholisc, he shouldn’t have any contact with magic and power. Maybe Rumbelle should have another try on TLK. We know it could break The Dark One curse. Rumple just has to”let it go”.:)
Darn it all I can’t find the picture now but, very important question . . . Did Colin finally cave and get his ear pierced? One of the pictures I saw on tumblr this morning showed him with a new earring – it looked like a black gemstone stud, and it really looked like it was pierced not a clip on. In my new head cannon – he gives Emma his earring as a token of affection since his rings are too big for her and she gets him a new one.
Interesting- gem stud to go with modern outfit. I like that idea.
I’ve tried to convince my husband to do that, when I first met him. Obviously it did not work( that was almost 10 years ago). Speaking of my husband. I’ve asked him what he remember the most from “Withe out”. “Hook chopping that ice wall with his hook”- as the answer.
I like that Rumple/Henry scene. It’s a shame we didn’t see it in the episode. Henry was accting like a typical teenager and Rumple was this wise Grampa. I’d love to see them bonding.

So I’ve just read somewhere that at the end of the hug Hook wispers “oh, good”. Had to check it out. Volume on max- it is there- “…(something)…god” And I’m not Okay! *ugly sobbing*
Hey Everyone. I’m still lurking this thread. don’t have much time to write- my two year old is in his “do everything on my own” phase, so I’m rather busy.
There is so much negativity in others treads. You can hate a character all you want but ignoring stuff that are beautifully written and acted is just all new wrong. Collin was simply brilliant in White out- his facial expresions…just wow…I doubt he’ll get any credit in other threads…It is like this is all about ignoring CS and bashing everithing CS related.
Anyway on the hapier note- when your OTP has the best episode ever without a kiss or tons of dialogue- you just know they ar magic.:)
I’m still not over the hug and hand holding. So sweet and subtle. The “talk about intentions towards my doughter” was great- entirely everything that haters staded can be thrown out the window. And Daddy Charming witnesing just how Killian is devoted to Emma was even better. Totally my head canon( Killian freaking out, being devastaded, charming being the cool, collected one).
