WARINING: MAJOR OUAT FINALE SPOILERS!!! WOW! The finale is going to be so epic!!! I caught a lot of what was going on at filming today. First: Emma and Regina were laying on the ground outside gold’s shop and it looked like the town got sleeping cursed again based on the extras who were sleeping in the street as well. Robin comes up and hugs Regina and Henry hugs Emma because robin and Henry were awake and Regina and Emma just woke up Next scene: Emma Regina Hook Robin Snow and Charming. Emma holding the dagger is asking charming “Did you find it?” and the answer is no. There is something missing (something probably to be CGI’d in later on) and it is “sucking the hope and light from Regina”.. Emma steps up and says that Regina has worked too hard to lose her happy ending (lots of wind blowing) and she steps up and Killian says “No! Please!” and she says something to him I couldn’t hear and then holds up the dagger (lightning and high wind effects now) and she spins around and everything is intense and Killian is like “NO EMMA!” and Emma disappears (well, she runs off set, but I’m guessing she CGI disappears because she leaves the dagger behind) THIS IS GOING TO END ON SUCH A CLIFFHANGER! Side note: Killian yelling “Emma please!” and “Emma. NO!” when she “sacrifices” (I’m guessing) herself to save everyone from whatever is going on, like his voice cracks and UGH I ALMOST CRIED! And then Colin smiled and waved at us and we cheered for them all because like this is going to be so cool!

Oh, wow … That’s some cliffhanger …
[adrotate group="5"]ValinorParticipantOk, so everyone around Twitter and Tumblr are saying there are major season 4 finale spoilers out from last night’s filming. What/where are they is my question?
Look through the previous page of this thread, and you’ll get your answers.
Ahhh. Thanks. Missed that page. That explains it. I always thought this season would end with Emma becoming the Dark One … Wonder if that’s it … ?

ValinorParticipantRegina has a dream in 4×15 where the EQ!Regina is about to throw a fireball at the two of them (kudos to @RumplesGirl for guessing it was EQ!Regina). However, later on, we see Regina telling Emma that she thinks Robin might be in trouble. Could this be possible foreshadowing to Zelena coming back? We know from set photos that Zelena has (probably) been impersonating Marian this whole time. I’m guessing this is the trouble that Robin might be in, being with the crazy witch who tried to ruin your girlfriend’s happiness.
I think YES. I think it’s to show that Regina and Robin are bound together no matter where they are – and for sure, Zelena has “stolen” Regina’s life with Robin. A heck of a way to do it though.
Gold is involved somehow too, I think. Don’t necessarily think he knows Zelena is Marian – because he hates Zelena and wants her dead. But I think Gold has been using Robin to steal something, probably by threatening Roland or Regina’s life.
ValinorParticipantHe did? Oh. I thought he always said Smash the Mirror (not Shattered Sight, like I said) was ONE episode. Just longer. Hmmm.

Ok, thanks 🙂
ValinorParticipantBut there are 23 episodes – and Operation Mongoose part 1 is only episode 21, which means part 2 will be episode 22 – So there’ll be one more episode, and since Adam said the finale would be 2 hours wouldn’t that mean that episode 23 would be a prolonged episode like Shattered Sight.
Nope. Adam already confirmed that Smash the Mirror’s 2nd part is what accounted for the extra episode.
He did? Oh. I thought he always said Smash the Mirror (not Shattered Sight, like I said) was ONE episode. Just longer. Hmmm.
ValinorParticipantYes, but what’ll that accomplish? How will they get out of that one storywise – if they have no memories … That’s the part I’m struggling with. They would have to be able to remember both lives for it to be a lesson bringing them to a better place and understanding of their fates.
Yeah, I’m also having trouble understanding what this little, let’s face it, 2-episode arc, will accomplish beyond the finale. Even if the villains manage to get their happy endings, it will only be a temporary AU, which eventually will be course-corrected so that the heroes still get their happy endings. Regina won’t want a happy ending that doesn’t include Henry. So the S4 finale won’t have any real or lasting implications the same way that Emma and Hook’s little trip into the past didn’t ultimately change the course of history very much. Elsa and “Marian” did come forward in time, but otherwise the events leading up to 3×20 remained unaltered for the most part.
But there are 23 episodes – and Operation Mongoose part 1 is only episode 21, which means part 2 will be episode 22 – So there’ll be one more episode, and since Adam said the finale would be 2 hours wouldn’t that mean that episode 23 would be a prolonged episode like Shattered Sight.
ValinorParticipantThis sounds incredibly fun.
Nonono. This has me all confused. For there to be any lesson of happiness in it for Regina, they would have to retain their memories in this altered reality – which would mean two sets of memories. That way, the Charmings and the others would learn that Regina has been the sponge of sorrow …
I think the story actually changes so that heroes are villains and villains are heroes

I guess it could show that there always has to be a balance – the light and the darkness – the Yin and the Yang, the good and the bad …
Oh, now I cannot wait at all. So excited.

ValinorParticipantAlso, you could argue that Robin did sense something was off – since he no longer loves her as his wife – BECAUSE SHE ISN’T.
And yet he never explored that. He never voiced it. It never said, “I think there is something fishy here because I feel different about her…”
Lastly, I’m so sick of this whole ethics discussion. Zelena or not. When you believe your wife is dead, it’s natural to move on. Having her time travel back through a magic portal is extreme mitigating circumstances, and anyone who cannot see that, well. I’d love to see how they themselves would react … You cannot just do a rewind. It’s against human nature.
I don’t disagree that it’s natural to move on. Of course it is. But then he turns around and says that he is going to stay with Marian because of vows. Fine. That’s the choice he made. Then as soon as she is magically removed (frozen) he goes back to Regina and says screw my vows. No. He should have had a frank and open discussion with Marian. from the start He should have sat her down and explained that he was in love with another woman because moving on is natural. But that’s not the choice he made. He chose to present himself as a man of honor and then did a total about face when Marian was down for the count and flat out said “screw honor, I’d rather screw you (Regina).” It is fine to be torn between the wife of the past that he thought was dead and the woman he currently loves but that does NOT mean he needed to crawl into bed with Regina.
Of course he should have … But man is a flawed creature and if everything was treated as an after-school special, we would be bored out of our minds. Robin tried to do the right thing -but couldn’t stay the course because he loves Regina. As I see it, the writers are also trying to portray how it can be hard to stay the course despite your best intentions – and also, rough edges make Robin and Regina a good match.
