I made another comparison shot of the costume since there’s now some pictures on decent quality (And I found two that are pretty much the exact same angle). It’s definitely, 100% the same coat!
But WHY? I mean that’s really my big question. WHY is Zelena pretending to be Marian? And not only that, but manages to play her so convincingly that her Marian’s own HUSBAND never suspects that his wife is not his wife. This is so sloppy and contrived and tawdry. It’s the angst of an affair but with none of the emotional repercussions and fallout. It’s a way to brush off any questions in morality and letting everyone off free. You know, because this show does continuous human emotions SO WELL. It doesn’t matter that Marian wasn’t really Marian in the end–Robin thought she was but now everyone gets to wipe their hands of the seriously nasty ethics that played out in 4A cause Marian was Cora’d. I really hate this development.
I kind of buy into it. There are a couple of options I guess as to why she is posing as Marian and for how long. I’m very interested to see how they explain it – and how the others find out. The why could be anything from it being the only way Zelena could save her own life to screwing up Regina’s even more in some twisted game. She’s always wanted what Regina had – and well, in the end, Regina had Robin.
Also, you could argue that Robin did sense something was off – since he no longer loves her as his wife – BECAUSE SHE ISN’T.
Lastly, I’m so sick of this whole ethics discussion. Zelena or not. When you believe your wife is dead, it’s natural to move on. Having her time travel back through a magic portal is extreme mitigating circumstances, and anyone who cannot see that, well. I’d love to see how they themselves would react … You cannot just do a rewind. It’s against human nature.

I’m thinking that Zelena’s remains time traveled, and at some point she took Marian’s place. There’s actually photos of Zelena and Marian filming a flashback in FTL for 417, so maybe Zelena actually killed her? I also suspect that Regina had never actually killed Marian, even in the original timeline, because the way Robin described Marian’s death in 313 doesn’t really ad up to “Marian was executed by the Evil Queen.” Robin said Marian died “on a job”, and how it was apparently his fault. That was a reason I suspected Marian could be an impostor all the way back when the Season 3 finale aired.
Yes. That would also explain how Zelena can be alive. She’s from the past – as Marian. But is Zelena Marian also Roland’s mother or was that actually Marian Marian … OMG. My head is spinning around its own axis right now 🙂

Daniel though, Lana Parrilla has called that true love like “Young Love…or puppy love,”…she says now that Regina’s an adult, her connection and love with Robin Hood is a lot deeper. Lana also said that although Robin and Henry seem like Regina’s most obvious happy endings…she says something much more internal within Regina…something deeper. Along those lines…probably forgiving her own self, something we saw in 4×05 that Regina struggles with.
Yes, and that’s really a very deep human story. Is it possible for an inherently good person who has done horrible things – to forgive herself and be truly happy? I mean, Regina’s challenge is not the people around her. They have all been magnanomous enough to forgive her. But Regina herself, as Robin has also noted, has struggled with a deep sense of self-loathing ever since Daniel died – and that has only grown stronger with her dark deeds.
Also, the pregnancy question. I am now 100% sure that someone will get pregnant. Here are my theories: 1) Regina. Most likely from Robin.
Yep. I think that A&E “pleading the fifth” is basically confirmation that Regina is pregnant and is beginning to show. Hence, the prominent taco scene with Robin in the crypt and the time jump forward 6 weeks.
Thank you. I’be been saying it, and saying it, and saying it. But everyone thought that since the blind item wasn’t for OUAT, Regina wouldn’t be pregnant. There are SOOOOO many hints IMO. I could easily do a long list. I mean, in the latest sneak peak from the Mayor’s office, Regina has food aversions and wants a root beer. Come on!! 😉 Since when does Regina talk about food at all.
There is the whole issue of young Lily being Latina in appearance, while Snow and Charming aren’t, but at least hair color would be explained by Snow’s dark hair.
Definitely a problem, I agree. As is the question of how Lily got to our world in the first place and why Snowing never made mention of another baby. However,all of this can be magicked away with some plot devices and exposition. So… 1) The Latina Problem. Lily is a shapeshifter who, for reasons unknown, decided that she would “play” at being Latina while in this ream. (real answer: A and E didn’t cast a Latina actress to play Adult! Lily for….reasons) 2) The Realm Problem. Easy. Plot device #67623768. A random door brought Ingrid, something brought Cruella and Ursula. There is a never ending supply of magic freaking beans, apparently. This one is the easiest one. 3) The Snowing Problem. Memory erasure. Again, easily solved with some hand waving.

Hmmm. The star puzzles me. Unless Robin has one under his tattoo.
But as I just said. I so don’t want Lily to be the memory-erased child of Regina and Robin. That would be just one more tragedy in Regina’s past – as somewhat of a mess. But Agnes Bruckner does look like a she could have been cast for that. On the other hand, Lily could also be Emma’s sister – the child of Snow and Charming who did some underhanded dark deal in the past (which has been hinted in the plot point scoops) … I like that story better.
Thanks for the share. So they have done her hair up in the same way as young Lily in a desperate attempt to make her look like the younger actress and character. Nope. Still doesn’t work.
Oh, gosh. She does look like she could have been cast to be the daughter of Regina and Robin in some obscure memory-erased past.
I DON’T WANT THAT! That would just be too cruel.
