Great interview and don’t want to belabor the “He knew all these people in FTL” comments (this is the second one so now we know it isn’t reporter error as we assumed before) but it is really curious that MRJ would say it twice. I love that he and A&E talked about what Neal and August talked about and that he has such a great handle on the character of Neal/Bae. I really hope he becomes a series regular next year – we still have so much to find out about his life and how he will interact with other main characters.
Sevenof8, yes, he would know the stories but that isn’t what the interview said. He said in the interview that these were people he grew up with. And he left FTL when he was 14 or 15 so he was already “grown up” by then and those characters weren’t born yet. I really hope this was not a mistake and that we may find out what those connections are. Right now I am at a loss, but pretty much everything about OUAT surprises me!

ETonline: So you consider Emma to be the love of Neal’s life?
Raymond-James: Yeah. I don’t think there’s any question about that.FEELINGS
No question whatsoever.
laurieanneParticipantAnd is Wendy running the Home Office as a young girl? Or do people in FictionalLondon age more slowly? – because if she was aging normally, she’d be dead. Also, on SSTTR, the screen caption said London. BUT if it was FictionalLondon and stayed the same time period, then those pesky details of the timeline would be helped considerably.
laurieanneParticipantI have wondered this many times. And there is a great deal of change in Rumple’s appearance AS the Dark One. Zoso may have had the power longer so it may have worn off a little?
laurieanneParticipantI think what they are trying to do is to have Felix be an authority figure (even if he’s “bad”) so he has to be older than Bae in order to make it scarier. If he was the same age as Bae or younger, then he wouldn’t be able to have the authority over the other boys. The actor looks young enough to play a teen IMO. Also with younger actors they have restrictions on how much they can work, so it is a lot easier on directors and production crew if the actor is over 18 but able to play younger.

Hook/Charming Broship…hm…
But Gold! *sobs* He’s lost everything now, or thinks he has…he needs Belle to give him hope. She’s gone and Bae’s gone and he blames himself for all of it.
And the Charmings are so convinced Neal is dead 🙁
I was thinking the same thing – why is everyone so willing to accept that Neal is dead? Can they not think that maybe he went to a place with magic and somehow could be healed? Also it looks like we will not get to see a scene with Emma telling Henry about Neal. We just see it taking place but no dialogue. I wonder if Henry will find out that Emma and Neal DO love each other.
I’m still in tears over the Rumple scene.
laurieanneParticipantI can’t. Rumple. This is heartbreaking.

Wonder if Gold will hear how Neal left and his undoing will be that he tells Regina and Emma to take Henry and Belle somewhere safe and try to find his son and -he- will deal with the silly rock. He hasn’t exactly been willing to sacrifice himself for anything since he became the Dark One, so that would be a pretty powerful thing for him to do.
But my money’s on Emma saving the day with her magic instead.
My money is on Emma as well, but you bring up a good point. I think for Belle to come back, Lacey is going to have to witness a moment of pure sacrifice on Rumple’s part. Giving her up and giving up his chance to change the prophecy might do that, or at least trigger Belle. Then Rumple can do what Slurpeez suggests and heals Chip and asks her to drink from the well.
All I read was “heals Chip and asks her to drink from the well.” Do you think Rumple has Chip somewhere, maybe just in pieces? (Itty bitty pieces…) I think the reason we have gotten so little info is because this “game changer” is going to be epic for Rumple, and eventually for Belle. I agree that Emma will be the one to help Regina save at least the residents of SB. Pretty sure this one will be action packed except for the grieving scenes with Rumple and Henry finding out about Neal. I noticed upon rewatching 2×21 that Emma said that Neal was killed by Tamara. I hope someone gives Henry some hope for his dad.
Keb, It’s going to kill us all with feels. Pretty positive about that.

I think that whatever happens in the episode, we may be focusing on another location next season.
