Maybe the kidnapping isn’t what it seems/doesn’t end the way we think? I mean if this was a huge moment in the season finale wouldn’t they have been more secretive about it? Like making sure people couldn’t be there to take videos of it?
Last year someone leaked vid of Snowing calling to each other using their real names and kissing when the curse broke.
It isn’t that easy for them to block stuff like this when they’re filming in a public area. People can’t be prohibited from watching or taking photos – it isn’t against the law. They have their security people there to keep people out of the shot(s) but that is all they can do. This may be why they are “destroying” Storybrooke, to keep stuff like this from happening. I think too much is getting recorded and they are tired of trying to shoot around it. It is sad for those of us who love our spoilers but it is completely understandable from a producer perspective.

I did find some disturbing undercurrents–like when he tells her to run along to the shop and she sort of half turns like she isn’t sure but then does. Then when he asks her to excuse him to talk to the Charmings, and she hides. She’s with him because of what he can do, and he knows that but misses Belle so much. The have another drink thing–they are enabling each other in unhealthy ways.
I was disturbed by the scene also – I think Rumple knows what he is doing with Lacey but he wants Belle so much that right now he doesn’t care. He still knows deep down that it’s not going to work. He is grasping at straws emotionally. And he’s frustrated that it still doesn’t give him what he is looking for. But he can’t walk away…not yet. I think the “have another drink” was more like “prepare yourself- you’re going to hear something really off the wall.” She also seems to know and accept that magic exists – which is really weird to me. As Lacey, she has not history with magic, yet she seems to buy into the concept very quickly and willingly. Not like Emma, who was much more skeptical.
laurieanneParticipantI think the time limit idea is most likely and the space issue as well. The ship is fairly large but probably not large enough for everyone. But we know the portals of the past have only lasted a few seconds. Not nearly long enough for everyone to go through. The ship would be crowded, depending on how many decide to go (or are allowed to go) but still the best option they have at this point. As the town is being destroyed quickly, panic is setting in and they need to make a decision quickly. I can’t wait to see how Hook plays into all of this. And how they all come together. And who is included in “all.” I just hope we have seen the last of Greg and Tamara but I think we are most likely going to get another backstory or two.
Rumple: I agree that he is going to be grieving. Maybe his brokenness is what makes Belle regain her memories – or it could also be the destruction of the town is causing all the cursed personalities to go away. He appears so devastated. *cookies for Rumple* This is going to be a sad one, folks. But they also can’t linger on that too long, because of the SB situation.
laurieanneParticipanti had a nightmare about Regina killing Kurt. Seriously, why can’t I get the bubble bath dreams?? 🙂
laurieanneParticipantI do not think Neal is dead. Not dead. Not dead. Not dead. Not. Dead. For the love of God, can I please have a cookie?
laurieanneParticipantIsn’t there a DiBlasio in the cast list for 2×22? Coincidence?
laurieanneParticipantI’m very interested in this as well. I just think it’s odd and disturbing and crazy that Tamara was willing to use magic to escape from Emma, all the while saying that magic is poison. She’s a hypocrite. Her hatred of magic is not as strong as her desire to avoid the consequences of murder. She is against magic but she thinks murder is just fine. And yet, we are sure to see her backstory which will no doubt explain why she is so evil and why we need to feel sorry for her. I think it is a personal vendetta for Tamara and obviously we know it is for Greg. Maybe all the foot soldiers have personal experience with being harmed by magic. Tamara seems to be way too committed to the “cause” to have it be unrelated to her in a personal way.
laurieanneParticipantWell, I think it has something to do with the Lost Boys in the Peter Pan story. The only reason Peter came for Wendy was to be a mother to the Lost Boys – tell them stories, mend clothes, cook etc. Now the story is turned on its ear and we have this shadow/recruiter person seeking only boys (but Wendy did get to go for one night). Maybe because they needed boys to fight Hook and the pirates? Good question!

I have to be honest, I’m not suuuuper sure that Lacey’s intentions are… shall we say “honorable” (for a given value of honor, that is). I wasn’t buying the “so we can be together forever” line, but this may very well have been the way I was reading the delivery and nothing more. It really seemed to me like she knew what buttons to push to get Gold to do what she wants.
She’s got Gold wrapped around her finger… as it were.
(I’ll see myself out now…)
I think the same. I haven’t seen any of Belle’s honor in Lacey, although I really really WANT to see it. Yes, we know she is Belle, but I could see a lot more of their FTL selves in MM and David (the early days) and not so much in Lacey. I haven’t been able to rewatch the episode yet (there is apparently some kind of basketball playoff going on…) so I hope to do that tomorrow. Yes, she has Gold wrapped around her finger. I still have faith that he will do the right thing when it comes to Henry.
laurieanneParticipantGreat thread, obisgirl! We all need to be reminded of this. Thanks for stepping up!
