ParticipantI agree, BeastWhisperer. It was good to see her back story, although I don’t completely sympathize with her ripping her heart out – it was by choice and it was to gain power, not to save a life or for any noble motive. I guess that once she took it out, she never had the motivation to put it back, since only her heart would have given her than motivation. I’m surprised Regina didn’t think about doing that (putting the heart back inside Cora) on her own. Maybe she didn’t know her mother’s heart was not in her body until she came to Storybrooke? Do we know that?

Some other thoughts: one thing that S2 did really well though was make me much more invested in the core characters:
–Even post Stable Boy I was never a big Regina fan, but after Miller’s Daughter I actually felt real sympathy for her. I really want her to get some kind of happy ending and that’s coming from seeing her relationship with her mother, from seeing how Rumple manipulated her, and how the death of Daniel really affected her.–I always went back and forth on who was my favorite female character during S1. Now, in S2 the clear winner is Emma. I love her and think her to be such a bad@$$ rockstar who could take any evil thrown at her. A lot of that is due to Tallahassee and JMo’s performance in Manhattan.
–My love for Rumple grows with every episode, even ones where he only appears for a few moments. More of him. Always.
–I already shipped Rumbelle pretty hard at the end of S1, but having Belle not only around full time but also as someone who will constantly ask Rumple to be a better man has made this ship my OTP and something I will defend. Vigorously.I agree completely! I watched the entire two seasons in January of this year so I didn’t have the opportunity to learn about the story gradually as I would have if I had watched from the beginning. That being said, I started out a little confused about the direction of S-2 but as the season developed, those are now the episodes I re-watch more often. Every time I watch Miller’s Daughter and I see the smiles of joy on Cora and Regina at seeing each other kind of for the first time, it really gets me. I am now a huge Emma fan as well – I love her getting to discover her magical side, and fighting hard for her family, especially Rumple. I love that they made her a physical fighter —that is great to see in a female character. MORE OF RUMPLE – absolutely. With only Skin Deep to go by in Season 1 (until the finale) it was hard to keep hoping for Rumbelle – but now it is developing into something that is interesting, complicated and hopefully gratifying. I think it’s going to take awhile but I’m super hopeful. The scene of them on the phone in Miller’s Daughter is my favorite. Of all time.

ParticipantSeems like they are leaving the Mad Hatter out of it for now 🙂 It sounds amazing!

ParticipantOk here goes. I couldn’t hear much dialogue (I am on the way home today and I have to say that yesterday was a highlight of my LIFE) but here is my deduction – Whale is on the ground and Gold stood over him with his foot on him. I think he was protecting Belle/Lacey. Then Nealfire rushed in and held Gold back-actually almost picked him up but not quite. He was a little too assertive on the last take and I think he felt bad but Bobby laughed about it along with everyone else. 🙂 I got a ton of pictures but not sure how to post them. Anybody help with that? Gareth was with me (Vancity Filming) and he got most of the same shots.
Then Nealfire and Gold got into it after Whale got up and ran away. Lots of verbal stuff – talking about Emma and Tamara. I can tell you definitely that Rumple ships SwanFire. In a big way. Belle was there briefly but Gold handed her something (hard to see – car keys?) and she exited. Last part of it was the argument between Gold and Nealfire. They haven’t come very far in a few weeks…
This was such a magical experience – I am still reliving it! If you want to see my photos, friend me on Facebook. Just identify yourself by message and I’ll accept–Laurie Sharp Hancock. Saw a bunch of “Storybrooke” dwellings and businesses, including many around Vancouver, including the t(r)oll bridge. It was a good 1/2 day hike and I just about died but it was worth it! 14 kilometers round trip. Can’t wait to go back!
We were all laughing at the flip flops!! IT WAS FREEZING!! It must be his personal style choice!

ParticipantThis was from today’s shooting of episode 21. I am in Storeybrooke (I mean Steveston) and saw these scenes being filmed. Belle was definitely in Lacey attire…and by the way it was freezing here today. 🙂 Robert, Emilie and David Anders all came over to greet the fans and sign autographs. Robert and Emilie stayed to take photos at the end of shooting. Beyond my expectations and so gracious of them.
Not sure how spoilery to be on here, but this was a great scene! Whale, Nealfire, Gold and “Lacey.” Very intense and dramatic.

ParticipantI very much enjoyed reading your reflection and I agree with most of what you said. Very well done.
