lecygneParticipant
If they’re stringing us along, they’re going a good job of it. Ugh.
I feel like I’m stringing myself along, and it’s easy to do here in my little SF hidey-hole.
Outside this little cove, so many people apparently think that this BOLD story is acceptable and even good. I just wish A&E had at least made it palatable for SF fans if it truly had to happen. There were ways to keep me from leaving the show. Being honest for one.
[adrotate group="5"]lecygneParticipantYou guys… The funeral. No one spoke up. No one said how much they’re gonna miss him or how much he meant to them. Which if one has hope could interpret as they can’t write that stuff because it’s not his actual real funeral and he’s coming back and then all the goodbyes would feel silly and they don’t want to “waste” powerful dialogue on something that’s soon to be reversed.
Not much has been said on Twitter along these lines either… hmmmm…
But uhm honestly I think the reason is the same as why we still don’t know all the finer details about a truck load of other stuff. Time.
This annoys me. They’re either wandering around with a bunch of nothing going on or they’re rushing through to the finish. Pacing, people.
lecygneParticipantDon’t know about anyone else, but I’m ready for someone to post a crack theory from this episode to cheer me up!
Total crack: the reason they used that echoey sound effect every time a shovel full of dirt got dumped on the coffin is because it was the sound Neal was hearing from inside it because he’s not 100% dead.
Just watched the 2 minute YouTube clip… “Funeral” only… For real? Ridiculous.
PS… Thinking of your family, Heather.
lecygneParticipantTotally bummed from the synopsis/RG’s report. Don’t know about anyone else, but I’m ready for someone to post a crack theory from this episode to cheer me up!
lecygneParticipantI can’t get over a 10 second funeral where no one said a dang word.
That hurts. He was buried, thrown dirt on, and left.
That’s it.
Really?? Really?? Not even a word??
I would throw things at my television.
Shenanigans or a-holes.
lecygneParticipantIt feels wrong that I’m not watching OUAT right now. So very conflicted…
I’m consoling myself with the fact that…
1. I can read a synopsis in 5 minutes as opposed to wasting one hour watching swill that is going to make me very angry (see RG^^^^), and…
2. I am not supporting this show as a viewer.
That said, and without watching the episode, I am going to go ahead and call shenanigans for DSB. This is RIDICULOUS. How do you give HENRY’S FATHER a totally stupid death followed by a 10 second funeral? This is unreal, insulting, and alienating to (hundreds of) thousands of viewers. Pandering to people on Twitter to keep them watching. Okay. Pandering to the crazy CS fans by killing off Neal. Okay. Letting MRJ leave the show. Super okay.
Poking us in the eye with a stick to make the lies and plot holes and etc etc etc as painful as possible? They made no attempt whatsoever to placate SF/Neal fans with this send off. None. In fact, they did just the opposite. Make it as horrible as possible. I keep thinking Neal’s death for realsies would have been well-done, written by A&E, with some build-up/real resolution to make sure that at least some SF/Neal fans were or could be satisfied. Instead, we’ve gotten poor writing, unresolved issues, obscure-borderline-dismissive tweets, etc.
Shenanigans, or huge a-holes in charge. This goes beyond incompetence.
lecygneParticipantYep. Everyone is guard-down now. If they do a swap, it would be #nospoilers for the win. Which is why I am crack theories for the win.
How can they even type #nospoilers having released their own humongous SPOILER followed by leaked photos of a funeral, the “who’s filming”, etc. etc. etc. They totally telegraphed that Neal was going to die. Yet again, one of the biggest reasons why we in this thread “just knew” it wasn’t Neal was because of all the signs pointing right to it, and we were the ones choosing to give A&E credit for not doing something so dumb/obvious.
Have they been known to do this kind of stuff in the past? This is the first show of theirs I’ve watched.
But quite frankly, I don’t want ANYONE to die, unless they do a huge chunk of character assassination (or development, as the case may be) leading up to it. Therefore, if they do pull a switcheroo at the end, may it be well-done and not the shite we got last week. (And if they don’t pull a switcheroo, may they at least try to make it all make sense!!!!)
lecygneParticipantThe only people surprised by Neal’s death were loyal SFers and casual viewers. The entire Internet had it figured out waaaay in advance. Was there betting in Vegas? Those ppl bet on everything. I’d say Neal was the odds-on favorite.
This type of comment on A&E’s part lends more credence to dontstopbelievin et al.’s crack theory(ies?)… The death may not have yet occurred.
Or they are complete idiots. And to believe their own “because plot” garbage, they’d have to be idiots.
lecygneParticipantInteresting read…

Brava! I feel like CS shippers aren’t watching the same show…
lecygneParticipantHeart breaks more from these gif sets.
I’m just glad to know I’m not the only one really suffering over this silly TV show. A week later. I think I will mourn the rest of the season and hopefully heal over summer.
I guess I’ll just read synopses from here on out or maybe get the gist from comments from those still watching within this thread.
I can’t bring myself to watch it or support it until things make sense somehow… If they ever do make sense. 🙁
