So sad (ironic?) that you’re being attacked about “not being a fan” and “only caring about your ship” by bad fans who only care about THEIR ship. I think you’re absolutely right that, yes, shipping does alter your perception; but as long as it’s those gray areas (e.g., does Belle saying it make it canon?), that’s acceptable and expected. When it alters your perception of the B&W areas (insert your favorite plot holes, inconsistencies, retconning here), then there’s a problem. And maybe it’s MY shipper goggles, but I don’t think our ship has ventured as far over that line as some other ships.

I hadn’t really thought about it in all those terms, but yes yes and yes. If there were to be some miracle in the future, Emma’s got some splainin’ to do.

Well yesterday the message I got from the Hook & CS Fans over on Twitter was that I’m not a real fan because I don’t ship CS and I dislike Hook so I should quit watching Once Upon A Time.
In a sense, though, you’ve already stopped watching OUAT. It hasn’t been OUAT for nearly half a season. It’s OUAH, no? At least, that’s what I tell myself. 😉
I can’t bear to venture out into Once Fandom because it is so vile. Better hanging out in here (barring the occasional CS troll) where I am safe with my memories of what once (Once) was, but never will be again; where my SF friends post links to the best SF tumblrs, metas, fan fics so that I don’t have to wander about a hostile internet; where my SF friends are themselves madly talented and intelligent; and where I can feel like I am not alone in my sadness, bitterness, and (oftentimes) anger.
Like our ship (and Nealfire himself), SF fans were destined to being short-changed, crapped on, and then killed off.
We love MRJ, hope to work with him again in flash backs ,we are happy cast, we felt that Neal’s storyline was over, we love Neal, we don’t write about ships, we write for once, we love all our fans, the best is yet to come, that’s your interpretation, keep watching, yada yada. oh and now bring on all those shipping and frozen questions, we must talked about HOOK, CS, OQ, and Rumbelle, and ELSA, and did we say Hook, yes let’s talk about Hook.
Hi friends! Just checking in. Still drive by here every day but haven’t felt much like posting. Still sad and bitter about this show. I mentioned Tallahassee in normal conversation the other day and was overwhelmed by grief again. =sigh=
Then I was thinking about that quote that the S3 finale would give us something we didn’t even know we wanted (or whatever), and for me, the only thing I can think of is enough of a reason to leave the show. It makes me really sad that I’m not looking forward to S4. That I’ll never finish S3. I feel as though I’ve been robbed, and for Pete’s sake, it’s just a TV show – but it was one that used to mean something to me.
Looking forward to starting something new in the fall with all y’all. 🙂
Hopefully, MRJ’s got a bit bigger fanbase post Once, with many SFers eager to see him soar elsewhere. I am really, really hoping it’s TV and not some indie film or something I’m unlikely to see.
I wonder if we ever see him again in Once Upon a time…

I hope we don’t. They’ve managed to offend me in some way with each scrap they’ve thrown us post 315, so I can’t imagine any real service to his character or his fans by this writing team short of having Emma wake up from this nightmare, realizing that Bae is the one.
Neal’s death smelled like get him out of here as quickly as possible. Or maybe, we have to have enough time to tell CaptainSwan this season.
Believe in second chances… To die.

Believe in the impossible… Except Neal’s living. That really is impossible.
