Well, unemployed was too strong. I’m not in the industry, nor can I speak for MRJ’s preferences, but getting a shoddy, shoddy send-off as a regular main cast member on a prime time network series seems like a loss for an actor who has not yet announced his next project. Unlike Meghan, Sebastian Stan, or Gioncarlo Esposito who had other gigs…
Unless there was some BTS crap he wanted or needed to leave behind. I hate speculating like this, but it’s all we’ve got to try to reconcile this horrible, senseless turn of events.
All I can say is I cannot wait to see MRJ on my TV again, and no matter what it is, even if it’s something I’m not interested in otherwise, I’m tuning in for him.
[adrotate group="5"]lecygneParticipantJMo puts me squarely on the conspiracy train, destination Sad Town/Precipice of Abandon. My hope rested squarely on the lack of these types of comments. #nohope #trollsFTW
Seeing spoilers/theories that Zelena is not killed makes it even more evident Neal didn’t have to die. Hearing about the splitting of the heart to save Snowing, again Neal didn’t have to die. JMo’s quote reeked of BTS something… He’s better off now? Who is better off unemployed?
lecygneParticipantThat was actually a response to you, DSB:
They have a way of only telling a few people things – like Ginny & Josh knew about the curse, or JMo & RC knew about Neal/Bae.
And other places A&E supposedly told MRJ “early” what was going down with his arc… to the point that he theoretically knew this was going down last summer.
lecygneParticipantOh Lord. Worse than DO322 would be AO322. I can’t take it as it is!
And now I’m off to the races with, what if they filmed MRJ out of order?
DSB: get what?
lecygneParticipantWhy not Cora? To honor the memory of the poor woman Snow (and her mother) so mistreated in life?
EDIT: And I guess they told MRJ that he would be unceremoniously killed OOC and dumped by the side of the road as a convenient plot point?
lecygneParticipantThanks, RG. I have a bad feeling about this “twist.” Just a couple of reactions to that:
“How did the split season work out for the cast?” Fine, if you weren’t MRJ.
“Regina doesn’t poof us out of all situations.” But she poofed you out of the mother-of-all-situations, while Neal died.
“we will tie up some odd loose ends” While we no doubt make some more or fall into a plothole along the way…
And finally, re: Heather’s aggravation about everyone making every spoiler about Hook… except SoD…
EDIT: And why did I scroll down for the comments on that article. Sweet Lord, it IS all about poor baby Hook and his trials and tribulations.
lecygneParticipantHeather, RG, can someone post the spoiler (or a link to it) here? I don’t venture out of these walls… thx!
lecygneParticipantTo whoever made the Hook-Emma JPEG convo. THANK YOU. Yes. Exactly what I was thinking.
However, and probably someone here has already said it BUT…
The first (gah, there’s been TWO) time CS kissed, it was partially due to Emma’s thinking Neal was dead and maybe wanting to move on or do something to shake it off her (right?). Maybe either omniscient Zelena thought Emma might do the same thing again or the writers did this to prevent her repeating past behavior.
(Who am I to become an apologist for this crap?)
lecygneParticipantApparently Shatner is bringing out my inner artist today
lecygneParticipantPhee said, maybe whatever Zelena thinks the Snowflake is capable of, Henry’s capable of it too, and it might be interesting if that somehow played into Neal coming back, so we’d have Neal/Henry resurrection stuff to go along with the Rumple/Neal resurrection stuff. Haven’t thought it through enough to come up with any sort of cohesive theory, I’m just saying, the plays on the themes might be something they’d work with. They do love their “cycles of abandonment in the Stiltskin clan” stuff, and they’d been working towards that with Neal and Henry quite nicely, (before they screwed it up) but maybe they decided it was happening too easily. So maybe the way to bring that storyline to its optimistic conclusion, they wanted to make HENRY the one who takes an action that brings him and his father back together and flips the curse of the Stiltskin men on its head for good.
And what about the prophesy that said that a boy would be Rumple/DO’s undoing? I don’t necessary think the prophesy was about his death, but I’m not sure that we’ve seen that resolved in the current storyline.
Or maybe that’s something else that fell into a plot hole after 3A.
