ParticipantAm I too late to add, what happened to the other Dwarves? We know the 7 stayed with Snow and went on to Storybrooke, but where are the rest? The mines appeared to have been abandoned for some time before it became Rumples jail. Did the fairydust supply run out and everyone was free to live their own lives or…something worse? Cave-in?

ParticipantMight have to read some Daniel fanfics tonight to find out what he’s like! 😆
It doesn’t even feel fair to compare the Rumple/Belle relationship to Regina/Daniel. ‘Skin Deep’ spent the FTL time focused on establishing their love and understanding of each other. The majority of ‘Stable Boy’ gave airtime to the relationship between Regina/Snow and Regina/Cora. Makes me wonder if massive cuts were made of Daniel along the way…
I guess the fairest comparison would be Daniel and Peter. Both serve the purpose of plot devices (Daniel=Foil to Cora Peter=Wolf red herring), love interests set-up to die, and probably the same amount of screen time. However, we learned about the past of Red and Peter’s relationship: that they were friends growing up, recently developed into a romantic couple, and wanted to go off and travel/explore with each other. Was it the greatest romance ONCE had to offer? Was Peter Red’s true love? No and No. But, for his limited time, I understood the attraction at least.
Daniel is beating Peter in the fanfic range, so maybe Daniel does have more of a personality to work with. Or Regina has a lot more fans than Red.

For all Regina’s pleas that money means nothing in Stable Boy, she certainly did make herself comfortable in Storybrooke. 😯
Yes, I guess that’s part of the reason that I didn’t the like the explanation of why Regina hates Snow White and wants revenge on her. I do think that Daniel was her one true love because of her actions that came later, but I do wish that Regina’s scenes with Daniel actually conveyed that he was. I just didn’t feel any chemistry there at all, and it did somewhat feel like Regina didn’t commit herself to Daniel earlier not because she was scared of her mom but because she didn’t want to marry someone who was a stable boy either. It’s unfortunate because Lana Parrilla usually generates chemistry with all of her co-stars, and I might have a little more sympathy for Regina if I felt that what she had Daniel equaled what Snow and Charming have or what Rumple and Belle have. Or even what Dreamy and Nova have or what Abigail and Frederick have.
I’m with you on this AntBee: it’s SO not there for me. Daniel just didn’t get enough scene time or backstory to leave me invested in his character. Instead of writing a compelling love story, explaining WHY he was her one true love or HOW they fell in love: he just felt like kill fodder the entire time. They didn’t even give him a personality to work with: he was just generic and good – and somehow his death was supposed to make me understand/sympathize with a grown woman systematically destroying everyone’s lives all to reach her main target: a 13 year old girl (technically not anymore, but still).

I’m counting on that. After investing so much time in this series, that’s one of the two payoffs I’m depending on. The writers can do anything else that tickles their fancy, as long as Belle and Rumple end up together and Rumple is redeemed.
Another possibility I hadn’t considered: maybe Belle and Ruby could room together. Ruby’s been itching to get out on her own, and if she’s got her shape-shifting under control, she’d be great protection for Belle.
First episode, I never would have imagined being so invested in Rumplestiltskin’s happy ending as I’ve become. It destroyed me when a classmate explained that he is CLEARLY the big baddie for next season cause there is just so much more than that going on!
Ruby and Belle as roomies could be pretty amazing! They both are very independent and maybe Belle could work at the diner after she leaves Rumple for a period (if the library doesn’t happen). I could see these two enjoying the little things in independent living: recording an answering machine message, etc.lilred
ParticipantI think she may start with Rumple…but I don’t see it lasting into mid-season. At some point she’s going to be moving out: maybe she finds out he was behind the curse (and he fails to explain about Bae), his mounting ‘Magic is Power’ attitude, or he is way too protective and won’t let her leave the house. As much as he wants someone in his life and would adore having both Belle and Baelfire under his roof, centuries of being the Dark One won’t result in easy cohabitation. If Maurice is anything like his disney character, I wouldn’t mind seeing Belle live with him for awhile and rediscover that relationship: could be an interesting parallel between the fathers if Baelfire returned during this time frame. I do think she will go back someday to Rumple (or hope so).

Who is the baby in your new signature picture?
That kind of ties with my ‘Henry’s Father’ theory. I am currently on the Baelfire-being-Henry’s-dad bandwagon. I trust the writers to carry this out in a non-cliche/soap opera fashion, if the show goes that root. Someone added on tumblr a picture from a ‘morph their baby site’ of what Emma and Baelfire’s baby would look like: blonde hair and blue eyes. Even though the face structure looked like Henry, the hair and eyes made me question this theory. I tried it, and got dark, shaggy hair and hazel eyes. The picture links to the site and the pictures I used in my morph.

ParticipantFound this while looking for symbolize of Blue Birds. There seem to be many similarities with Snow’s story.

ParticipantI’d say in OUaT I really admire how adventurous Red/Ruby is, and how she finds balance between that and her relationship with Gran.
I’ve always been fond of the Little Red Ridinghood story. Have recently found several picturebooks that were mine as a kid, all some version of Little Red. All and all, Little Red is adventurous and inquisitive: great traits in my eyes!
