Oh, and good news during this horribly long wait! (Has it really not been a week already? I don’t think I’ll make it through this month.. 😯 )

    MRJ has his next script!

I’m thinking along the same lines, that Cora hasn’t had her heart for some time. I’m even wondering if she’s had her heart at all during Regina’s life. Based on how the show’s worked so far, and Cora’s repeated message of love being a weakness – I’m pretty much sold that it was her weakness.I’m thinking young (teenage?) Cora got burned pretty badly as the Miller’s daughter, became Rumpelstiltskin’s apprentice, and (in the lesson on pulling out hearts) pulled out her own to prove how strong she was now. Maybe, her ability to do that, was part of the reason Rumple worked to keep her out of Storybrooke – she’s beyond him in ruthlessness.

There didn’t seem to be affection in her marriage to Henry, so I wouldn’t be amazed if her heart was gone before he came into the picture…

Is it sick that part of me would enjoy that angle?
Not only would it have them navigating being parents to Henry, but I could see both of them going through periods of doubt – worrying that everything was a lie/orchestrated by magic.

I can really almost imagine how euphoric it would be for Emma to learn that it wasn’t another scheme. After everything, Neal and Henry were authentic and totally hers.

It’s going to be rocky waters anyway for these two : why not add to the angst train by having them second guess what appears to have been the happiest times of both lives – being together in that yellow bug.

She’s being linked to Neal’s fairytale backstory (possibly)

Ausiello: Help me solve this latest fairy tale riddle: The show is casting the role of Katerina, a regal beauty in her 40s who possesses elegance, poise and purity of spirit. Thoughts? Theories? Bueller? No? Let’s see what TVLine’s resident OUAT expert Mitovich has dug up: “There is a Princess Katerina who is the Russian version of ‘Sleeping Beauty’ — which I suppose makes sense if Emma & Co. need yet another survivor of a sleeping spell to venture into the netherworld. But if the name is a foiler, this character almost reads like a ‘Glenda the Good Witch’-esque counterpart to Regina, and maybe she figures into someone’s fairytale land backstory.”

Honestly, if he continues to get darker and darker (which it looks like he will) I want him to stay. The show lost both main antagonists in one swoop (feels that way) so we need someone like Hook in the mix. However, I’m hoping for Barrett to be the next BIG VILLAIN – worse even than Cora.

Pretty sure Snow’s blue birds have been mentioned before – they delivered the message to Rumple that Cinderella wanted to make a new deal (could be just an actual letter but now maybe not) and they gathered intel on the curse for the first episode’s war council. Do think maybe a line from Emma like “so….you talk to birds now?” could have helped but it didn’t shock me completely that she understood the crow..

Yeah…the zombies didn’t even last that long. It feels like there were only 8 or so that fought – and, honestly, I’m amazed they overpowered Aurora even. Guess they can now say they’ve done a zombie title sequence. 😆

Favorite: Story-time with Grandpapa Rumple.., Aurora proving there is a lot more to bravery than being skilled with weapons or being the ‘outdoor-type’, and Rumple and Belle having hamburgers at Granny’s…..AND Granny just being snarky and preparing for an all out Regina/Rumple battle in the diner. 😀

Least: Realizing that Hook took Aurora’s heart and then having it confirmed. Just…wow! As morally gray as I expected this character to be, wouldn’t have guessed him capable of pulling out someone’s heart – wonder how conflicting it was, if he thought about Milha.. 😕

I really do love Belle and Rumpelstiltskin together, I just think they are a bit overated. I know this is an unpopular opinion considering how popular they are and all. 🙂

It’s weird since like you I do love them together, but was kind of bored with them to start this season. It is a very repetitive dynamic and I was pretty excited to see them take a few steps back and actually have casual dates. First time I see them at the diner together having a hamburger, the Rumbelle senses will probably be back.

Eddy: It was funny because right before we shoot this scene we sat down with Michael Raymond-James (Neal) and he brought up this scene and he was like “No! There’s no way I’m letting her do this! There’s absolutely no way I would let her do this!” and we said: “Right! Exactly.” That’s why she’ll have to earn it in the scene so when Jennifer Morrison (Emma) says ‘I love you’ and then he says that line…he realized in that moment, like that’s what so great about these two actors, is she really convinces him and wraps him up. He, in the previous scene, wrapped her up in his dream. And in this one she’s basically saying to him: ‘I can do this. You have to believe in me.’ And he does.

They managed to convince fans, too! I wanted Swanfire since I started in the fandom – and now that we have it (delusional? YES!) it’s transcended all other pairings. Maybe I got lucky that no other Swan ships floated my boat but this has become my OTP…in their very limited screen time! 😀

Both actors deserve praise for making a compelling love story in a limited amount of time but I especially love that MRJ has already gotten so in character that he was appalled that Neal would put Emma in harms way. Just adore what that says about the actor and character.

On a semi-related note, I’m reading through cinnamonhummingbirds transcribed Eddy/Adam podcast and I’m getting the picture that these guys may ship Emma/’Neal’ more than any of us.

I’m not sure if these have been posted earlier somewhere but ignore if it’s repetitive: just think it’d be horrible if someone missed these quotes who loves MRJ, ‘Neal’, and Emma/’Neal’. All transcribed by cinnamonhummingbird who I am lightly stalking at this point… 😯

Eddy: I think what’s great is that you realize how much he loves her. And that he is willing to give up on the dream of “Tallahassee” because if he at any point thought he would risk her life. It’s not worth that to him. And for us, you know, when Emma blurts out and says ‘I love you’ …that was the first time she has ever said that to anybody.

[It is Emma though who hashes up the plan to retrieve the watches from the locker]

Eddy: Yeah, because…you know they’re holding onto that dream of Tallahassee! They’re holding on to it. Emma, as we said, in that scene it’s the first time she has ever said to anybody in her life ‘I love you’. She doesn’t want to give up without a fight.

[Neal says to her: ‘You wanna steal the watches to help me get away with stealing the watches…’. That was quite insightful.]

Adam: He’s…you know…like Emma he’s a guy who got issues with love. They’ve both been looking for it and he’s realizing she really loves him. And is realizing how far she’ll go for him. And it touches him. And it makes him bet on the chance that maybe they can get this crazy dream of going to “Tallahassee” and have a happy life together.

Eddy: It’s very hard to find someone you truly love and when you do it’s very hard to let go, even if it’s for their own good. And I think he [Neal] is clinging on a sense of: ‘Maybe someday we can be together. Maybe something will change.’ And I think that’s what makes it so honest.

[We also find out who Henry’s father is and it’s awful that she’s alone and pregnant in jail. It seems like there will be a really long road for her.]

Eddy: I think there will be a really long road for him. To try and get her to understand what he did and the only person that can let her know is August right now is in the wind and is completely wooden (Really writers? The bed was empty last time Gepetto checked…).

[She did seem to have a little glimmer of hope when she looked at the keychain. She realized that that was from Neal.]

Eddy: I’m not sure if you could say…I like that you said it’s ‘glimmer of hope’ I think it’s an interpretation…for me there was a sense of, there was no way to contact him and we understand in that moment what she was really thinking about which was the child. I loved that, because that’s when she first learned about Henry. And I think what’s also interesting is if you look at that keychain and you go back and look at all the episodes of Emma you’ll realize as much as she says she’s over that guy and she doesn’t like him…for some reason she wears it around her neck.

Adam: And as we learned last season she spent a lot of time in Tallahassee, so…after she got out it’s safe to say she went there. And she was probably looking for him.

Eddy: What Adam was referring to was last year in episode 1×04 where Regina sits down at Granny’s where Emma is drinking cocoa and says: ‘You move around a lot, the only place you’ve ever stayed was Tallahassee. What did you like so much about it?’ and Emma gives her a snarky response. It’s fun now a year later to be able to say ‘AHA! It was about Neal.’
