Looks like MRJ will only become active again after December…
I guess we can keep our fingers crossed that we may get a short scene with him in the next few episodes. Plus, sounds like he’ll be very involved with the storyline and may get a backstory after Christmas/Holiday season: that’s worth the wait, right?
[adrotate group="5"]At comic con and in a couple other interviews the creators stated we will find out what happened to Baelfire in season 2. Of course ‘what happened’ can go in thousands of different directions but you’re right Phee: really wouldn’t ‘floor’ her if Gold had a son who died generations ago, or is still a 14 year old, or a completely random guy that comes to town – that pretty much finalized for me that Emma is going to have to have a connection with this storyline and Bae.
Edit: Robert Carlyle said in a TV Guide interview “He’s [Baelfire] out there somewhere,” says Carlyle. “I know what’s going to happen, and it’s pretty mega.” That makes me think he’s probably alive at the very least…
Now have a scene in my head of Neal pulling up to SB with a sack of gifts for everyone: Snow, Charming, and Emma (lots of stuff for Emma!) And then Henry pops up! “Oh! Didn’t know about you….wait one sec – I’ll head to the Drug store. Do you like key chains?” “That’s okay, I’d much rather get to know you for you.” “Nope, everyone’s getting a present FIRST!”
I wasn’t probably the biggest fan of August to start and became pretty frustrated with August after this episode (like so many others – seriously, the guy’s becoming a favorite punching bag 😆 ) but I see part of his redemption arch being rooted in righting this particular wrong; in reuniting the family that might have been. Can no one else see August playing ‘fairy godmother’ in a Emma/Neal romance? Especially to the displeasure of both Emma and Neal and receiving threat after threat from both parties? 😕 Maybe that’s more material for a fanfic than anything else…
I would like to see a remorseful August and have it not be rooted in how he’s wood again. Maybe have him realize how his actions affected Henry’s life since he seemed pretty fond of Henry last season – kind of like a fun uncle.

It could have been the scenes with Eion Bailey…but….I hope we get a few other cut scenes of him in New York!
Since he expressed a desire to keep the ‘flypaper for nightmares’, I’m pretty sure he has some pretty bad dreams. What better time to show this than in the next episode when his son is battling and saving the day? 😀Nothing too important, but maybe ‘Neal’ will wake up from a dream screaming, looks around his apartment and stares at the dream catcher. Since Jane could have been hinting on twitter that ‘Neal’ isn’t heading straight to SB, to could be an interesting moment to point out that he’s still in NY – and have fans freak out that he isn’t in Maine yet.

I remember a couple of us discussing over the summer the possibility that Rumple’s favor from Emma may be her tracking down Baelfire. Since we now know he cannot leave town – a lot of these answers have me thinking about that again..

That has to be more than a coincidence! I know a number of people HATE this theory, but if Neal isn’t Baelfire he has to be at least a decedent!

Oh, he WILL be coming to SB Jane! He will! Rumple may have to use his deal with Emma to retrieve him, but Bae will be in SB and meeting Henry! By the end of this season or I will be a mess…. 😥
I guess this could also mean he isn’t coming because he’s already arrived and is hanging back doing a surveillance.. we haven’t seen what August is up to yet either in town….
I think, when he was first cast, MRJ tweeted a friend that he’ll be flying back in forth but mainly busy towards the end of the season (busy the whole month of May or something?) so they may hold him over our heads until the end, knowing that his coming to town will highlight two show mysteries: what happened to Baelfire and who is Henry’s dad. 😀
Least favorite – Development of wolf pack and Anita. I was excited to see how the pack would function (learning to control ‘the wolf’, etc.) and it felt sooooo rushed. Also. a little more characterization of Anita or Quinn might have been nice…
Favorite – Granny with a soldering iron, Belle and Ruby friendship, and Gold ‘helping’ Henry
