ParticipantI guess I excuse a lot with this character since he is a child. More often then not, I think Henry comes off as unrealistically mature (especially in the first season) It really makes more sense that he’s a bit erratic and off in his judgement – and is going to learn and grow from these short comings by the end of the series. But that’s probably just me being hopeful.
That being said, yes: it wasn’t the best line. Might even be the worst of the episode. And the delivery and abrupt cutting seemed jarringly mean spirited – and then the next minute we’re back to Henry wondering what to call Rumpel and have shifted the tone acting like that comment to Emma never happened…
More so, I really wish an adult present had called him on it. Could have been a nice moment for ‘papa Bae’ to be showcased – would have even loved everyone being caught off guard is Rumpel stole the moment by telling him to ‘mind his mother’. I think the reactions of Neal, Emma, and Henry could have saved the moment and maybe have the line feel less forced.

Phoenix, Palm Trees, and Swan Fire
http://www.phoenixarises.com/phoenix/legends/story.htm
The phoenix builds itself a nest on top of a palm tree, sets itself on fire, and is reborn.
In Greek the word phoenix can also be used for palm tree.
Phoenix is where Neal stole the watches. Phoenix is where Emma did time. Tamaraβs name, literally, means palm tree.
Swan Fire. The fire bird ship.So ‘Neal’ attempts to start a home on a stable palm tree (Tamara) but is reborn as Baelfire – which is what I consider happened last episode, especially with saying ‘Papa’ again. And the fire brings about the rebirth of the FIRE BIRD!
and also…Right at the top of the tree, the Phoenix built a nest with the cinnamon bark and lined it with the fragrant leaves.
Cinnamon? Who loves cinnamon? Emma Swan, her mother and her son the cinnabon king.
Just in case Emma didnβt have enough ties to the phoenix myth alongside Neal.lilred
ParticipantThanks, EastOfTheSun! It’s probably kind of a strange song choice – but we Swanfire fans have definitely found ourselves in an angst ship – for awhile at least. This isn’t a ship for the faint of heart!

ParticipantI am ecstatic for OZ to come into play! Probably my favorite of the worlds they’re dangling over our heads since Hat Trick! π

ParticipantPretty sure Tamara is noted for having a British accent and being African American. Maybe they couldn’t come up with the PC term for a Brit of African descent? Or the character needs to be capable of faking the accent…
I never really think of Wendy as being mischievous – Naive and compassionate yes (and a natural maternal/ care taker). My mind goes to Alice for this role. As much as I was expecting Alice to be Grace’s mom this sounds like Alice’s description so far.
But, age wise, I’d say it’s more likely Wendy. Alice was 7 and 7 1/2 during her times in Wonderland. Clearly, they could age her up in this show…but Wendy was facing growing up, moving out of the Nursery: most media seem to have Wendy being 12 to 13. I guess tomorrow we’ll know how truthful the ‘not seeing Peter Pan’ this season was. If Nealfire is the Peter Pan – and not just a Lost Boy – I’d wager this is Wendy and we’ll be getting an adventurer Wendy/Peter backstory. They’re going to have to do the Dylan Schmid/ Bae backstory soon before he grows too much! π

Finally finished my first swanfire video. Spring break can be productive – and I can tell my professor that I did work on video editing over break…just not actual assignments. π
Enjoy everyone!

ParticipantPoor David! Just keep thinking of the line “but I’m Henry’s grandfather..” Really hope they don’t scrap the David/Henry bond under a rug because Emma, Neal, and Rumple are now in the picture. There was something beautiful there for the first few episodes.
Rumpel has been sighted outside Storybrooke Canary too..going to pretend David and Rumpel are both lurking somewhere with their own wooden swords watching, waiting to join the fight. Definitely an unlikely shot, but I'd like to see the four of them play fight together.

ParticipantTo add to the earlier photo:
And it is apparently a scene – not just Jared and MRJ playing around between takes.Want this one as my desktop!
