That’s a really good point! Even in True North, when Henry shares the pumpkin pie with Emma to sort of have this memorial for the father he thinks is dead, they are both leaning against the yellow bug – which is probably the one thing Emma has kept from Henry’s dad. (I guess she couldn’t tell him that without getting into her troubled past…)
When Bae (I know I should keep referring to him as Mystery Man but…can’t. Think-fill in Mystery Man if it’s annoying anyone) shows up to Storybrooke can totally see him finding the yellow bug parked somewhere and approaching – only to find Henry sitting in the front seat waiting for Charming.
[adrotate group="5"]Anyone familiar with the Scarlet Pimpernel? It’s a novel/play that takes place during the French Revolution about the fictitious English Gentleman Sir Percy Blakeney and his French wife Marguerite. Percy lives as all these aliases – the Scarlet Pimpernel being a hero who saves French noble families that are sentenced to die in France. At home, under his legal name, he plays the part of an idiot to keep suspicion off him being the Scarlet Pimpernel. Unfortunately, Marguerite ends up thinking he wasn’t as heroic and kind as she had thought when they met -causing a lot of friction in their relationship. It’s when they are finally honest about who they are, fighting side by side, that they realize their love for each other again.
There’s a lot more going on in the overall plot (Percy even has a sidekick that kind of reminds me of August) but just the story of Percy/Marguerite reminds me of a possible Emma/Neal(Bae) plot.
The tattoo looks like the Blakeney family crest, a Scarlet Pimpernel (type of flower) that the hero used to sign letter-taunts to his advisories.
If anyone’s interested, was obsessed with an adaption of the novel into a mini series starring Richard E. Grant and highly recommend it!

Yeah, kind of shocked he didn’t try to use sex appeal or flattery on the princesses last night -especially Aurora who seemed like the easiest target. Really the only indication that he was/is a lady’s man would be him boasting that ‘he’s slept with many a man’s wife’ – And I’m willing to bet that’s just him talking and trying to seem manly in front of his crew (and intimidate Rumple further). Maybe Milha was the rare case – she did claim to fall in love with his stories in one night. Maybe Hook is really just a great story-teller: ALL talk…at least about his sexual life. 😀
I mean just that very brief clip of MR-J saying that “all I want is you” towards Emma in the Canadian promo contained more sexual energy than Hook had last night, imo.
Oh, ditto! Someone needs to start an entire threads based around ‘all I want is you’!
I’m a Swanfire fan too – but I’m all for Emma dating around for awhile. But, I think it would be more effective for her growth, if she dated a stable adult male. Apparently very hard to find in Storybrooke and FTL but she needs to try having an adult relationship with someone who’s worked their issues out. Hook still has a lot of issues and (although we haven’t seen evidence yet on the show) has some pretty BIG issues to work through about children – let alone a vendetta to kill rooted in a lost love.
Again even though we haven’t actually seen it on the show, I am working under the assumption that he and Milha were very much in love if not each other’s true loves. The pain hasn’t seem to lessen after centuries for him – not saying he doesn’t have a chance of meeting someone new along the seasons to come but he has a ways to go before fans can start shipping him with anyone with/around children.
I’m having an overload of emotions: thanks Canadian Promo! ……It might take awhile for me to have coherent thoughts about this….I will be a mess when the sneak peeks come out this week.
One idea that I can get out: how did Emma manage to keep the yellow bug for ten years after stealing it and going to jail? My guess: it was the Mysterious Man’s (Baelfire’s?). We know he has a thing for collecting older items and in the stills for this episode – looks like he’s in the back seat when Emma’s pulled over and then moves to the front. I guess I’m suggesting that Henry’s dad was sleeping in the back seat (probably living in his car) when Emma decides to steal it and that’s how they meet…
When will the sneak peeks be out? The wait is going to be harsh this week! 😥

Thanks for sharing! 😀He seemed to buy the story that his father was dead in True North, so I don’t think he has or will track down a father. Besides, Henry found Emma through a website ‘Whose your momma.org’ or something – that probably traced her from birth records. Since Henry’s dad (according to Emma) didn’t know about a kid, and I’m guessing Emma didn’t use his name on any of the paper work – there’s probably no way for Henry to track down his dad – but he probably wouldn’t anyway since Henry’s seems to believe his dad was a fireman who died saving a family.
Was so excited to see these images! And then I read a theory where it’s not the real Snow or Emma – but Hook and Cora. The claim seems to be along the lines of Emma walking with a certain ‘swagger’ that more befits Hook and both their facial expressions being a bit off. Not sure, could just be the photographed moments are awkward in some but thought I’d put it out there.
This one seems the more likely Cora and Hook one. Emma being Hook and Snow being Cora.
