Yeah, this fandom defiantly has a thing for brooding characters with a dash of sociopathic tendencies. Apart from Baelfire raping Emma, I’d say he’ll be redeemed in time for whatever happened and instantly adored by fans. Rape (which is kind of common in some fairytales) seems like it would be pushing things too far for Sunday Television.

Right now, I’m expecting something along the lines of Henry’s father being a criminal – hiding it from the girl he was courting and trying to come off as a normal guy. I actually expect Baelfire….Henry’s dad was possibly the first stable person Emma knew/dated and his nobleness was part of the appeal. That being said, when she learned what he was capable of (walked in on him ‘working’, don’t think they’ll take it as far as Henry’s dad hurting Emma physically) – everything comes crashing down.

Since I’m still living under the theory the Baelfire is Jack: when I look at the casting notice siting 'loyal and kind' for Jack – I see a noble guy there. But also smart enough to know how to hide what a damaged wreck he is on a date. Lucky Emma! 😕

I want to support team Baelfire/Peter Pan/ Henry’s father, but I can’t. I love the idea of August and Bae being part of the ‘Lost Boys’. I can see Baelifre making a connection between Hook and his father, maybe fueling his hatred of Hook.

I just keep coming back to Bae going to ‘A Land Without Magic’. Via magic bean. I see him as being Jack. Although new spoiler pictures have me questioning this theory, I thought the Jack retelling would be a shocker in that Baelfire lands in Boston (posted awhile ago the Baelfire has to have landed in Beantown aka Boston), Boston is his land of giants (people and buildings), he’s an uneducated peasant’s son who’d have to resort to stealing to survive, and probably get in deep trouble with the law. The character Jack was a thief as well as a murder. This sounds like the type of guy you wouldn’t tell about his son. As Emma said, “he was no hero.” Jim Henson said something along those lines about Jack from Jack and the Beanstalk – disgusted with how storytellers had tried to make Jack seem heroic when he had really done some horrible things.

I’m not sure we’ll actually get a Peter Pan this season. Instead, maybe allusions to Peter Pan through Henry. I am a supporter of Baelfire = Jack = Henry’s dad. For some reason, when Henry learns about ALL sides of his family tree, I see him freaking out. Possibly running away with Hook to Neverland to become a Pirate. I know it’s a long shot, but seeing that Rumple and Hook had past conflict(s) I could see Hook trying to win Henry over just to mess with Rumple.

    So – team Baelfire/Henry’s Father?

@ hjbau – we really don’t know where she got in trouble. It could have been Worcester, Mass., Boston, Phoenix, anywhere in the US. I’m not sold on the idea of Emma having gotten in trouble in Tallahassee, mainly because I interrupted that as later in her life than 17 (maybe just because it was listed later as a location) But: who knows.

My last comment about not being able to decipher Slurpeez’s tone was meant to clear the air, and give Slurpeez the benefit of the doubt that when in the past I’ve felt attacked and even harassed by them it could just be my misinterpretation. I’m sure I now read Slurpeez’s posts expecting the worst. I’m ready to move on if everyone else is.

Wow, not sure what I wrote to set off such a strong reaction or to garner such sarcasm. I was merely making a connection between the title for 2×6 and that line from 1×4. I had only a very vague memory of it and had to re-watch that scene again today to check exactly what Regina said. Not everyone would have remembered that line if they, like me, hadn’t watched that episode recently. I thought it was an interesting and relevant comment to make. I don’t see why I even have to make any sort of defence, but I just did. Good grief.

Guess I just read the comment as HIGHLY condescending – like this reply. I’m not sorry. If it had been phrased to be conversational or in anyway pleasant, I’m sure I would have replied in some amount of excitement about the episode. I’m here for discussion, Slurpeez. Not to be rude, unpleasant, condescending, or sarcastic (at least not at the expense of others). If you can say the same thing, I have absolutely no problems with you but apparently have a hard time deciphering tone in your posts.

Could Emma have been running from someone, possibly Henry’s father, hence why she moved around a lot.

The thought of Emma running away from someone makes a lot of sense – especially Henry’s dad. For the most part I guess I assumed she’d moved around because of not knowing where she belonged/trying to locate her parents. It seems strange that Regina and Sydney were able to track her whereabouts if she was running (Emma’s smart enough to know how to not leave a paper trail) But, Regina probably has a lot more resources available than Henry’s dad.

Maybe she got comfortable in Tallahassee (thought she was safe, ready to live for awhile) and bam! Henry’s dad (whoever’s chasing her) pops up!

    Wow, slurpeez!
You just stated nothing that everyone wasn’t already aware of having watched season 1. 🙄
Are you trying to suggest something or…just felt the need to post?

I think AntBee read a tweet from Michael Raymond James that he’d be back for this episode, but there still haven’t been any sightings of him on set….or in Canada…

I keep going back to Gulliver – but have to admit little to no evidence backs it up.

It probably is some melt of Dr. Frankenstein and his monster (possible reason for the green sleeve on the arm) or he’s just Dr. Frankenstein and Red’s ripped off his arm….really like that option! 😀

I know, right! It seemed like such a throw away line from Regina, but I’m now freaking out about the possibilities. What was Emma up to?

Starting to think we might have several flashbacks from Emma’s preStorybrooke life. The official title of the episode is ‘Tallahassee’.
