Josephine, I believe and I’m really sorry if I’m wrong, had this great idea towards the end of last year where Henry is the next point in a cycle of true love. Working under the assumption that both David and Snow were children of true love (based on what their one parent said about the other – seems pretty likely), and true love begets true love – two products of true love fell in love and had Emma (another product of true love). I guess neither Snow or David have really shown signs of being magical – wait! Snow was able to activate Rumpel’s parchment! Maybe they’re capable but don’t like to rely on magic. Who could blame them!
Based on this episode, it does seem like this theory needs to be awaken (and I’m going to search through old posts because I know it has been phrased better than I’m presenting it! Will post the quote here when I find it again..). Henry is vital to so many BIG players on the show – and knowing he’ll be the dark one’s undoing – I could see him growing up to be very powerful. Henry awakening his magic to protect any member of his extended family (part of me is thinking Regina especially) could be an interesting end of the season.
[adrotate group="5"]I’m a bit confused about Rumpel’s father and the spinsters: wasn’t a young Rumpel and a ‘father’ cast for Manhattan? Maybe they edited it down thinking it was too much backstory with the rest of the episode? 😆
We need to keep the love going in this thread: such wonderful posts. I’m editing my first swan fire video and will be linking ASAP. Guess we can all load up on the fan art, fics, and analyzing Emma and Bae’s facial reactions scene by scene to get through this next hiatus!

WELCOME! Can’t wait to obsess with you. Love Rumpel’s complexity….and pretty much sold on swan fire. 😆 Do you have a favorite scene in Tallahassee or Manhattan?
Do we know what the ‘final battle’s’ for? Happy endings? Are they returning to their world and fighting the wraiths? I’m thinking Greg’s reveal may decide how the final lines split..but my roommates convinced he’s an alien and we’ll be having aliens vs. fairytale characters int he final episode. 😆 And watch that be true!
Pretty disappointed that, after receiving so much criticism last season for not having POC in their main cast/active characters, they are bringing a woman of color on to the show to seemingly be a part of a love triangle. Really hoping she has a greater story outside of her romance with Neal and maybe her own backstory to unfold.
As for swan fire – there’s a reason fate and destiny were thrown around in Manhattan. And, as MM said ‘If true love was easy – we’d all have it’. There’s going to be bumps in every characters journey. Who knows? Maybe Bae/Tamara will be a great match and I’ll have to ship Emma with someone else for awhile – I might have to start the Tiny Swan ship! Anyone interested? Maybe as a friendly fling? 😆
There is an impending war coming: I’m thinking romances might be moved to the back burner. I need some more action. Was a bit disappointed that we had no battlefield scenes last episode.
Actually getting a little nervous at this point. With everything this episode is promising, it’s scary to think we’ll be having another 2 week break to freak out about everything!
And we probably should be in the spoiler section for tonight – I’m guessing there’s going to be some venting and freaking out happening in a couple hours. But, since it probably won’t be moved by then: when in doubt, spoil tag it! If anyone isn’t familiar with spoiler tags/using them – just ask. I’ll be on, and pretty sure a lot of other people would be willing to help! 😀

This character really fascinates me – and Robert Carlyle is just masterful with this part. Was already a fan and then I read the creators and Carlyle discussing how the character morphs with each generation – taking away bits and piece from the people he admires or was effected by. I’ve always had a soft-spot for the Trickster in myths and that is what Rumpel is for me – the ultimate trickster! He’s cunning (and obviously working towards his own ends!) but always allows for free will.
Did use to think something like that may happen – finding the Bae died generations ago but Rumpel learns he lived a happy life: married, kids, and passed away peacefully at an old age.
But the onslaught of spoiler/interview, especially the Jennifer Morrison one, claim Rumpel will get to have a three minute conversation with his son – at Bae's request. Now, maybe thing will take a dark turn and it's a from beyond the grave conversation – Neal takes him to a cemetery and Emma is using magic…
