I’ve started to think that Rumple brought back magic more because of an obsession/addiction than ‘protection’. At first, I did think it was just the next step in getting Baelfire back, or needed to protect Belle. I want to say either Kitsis or Horowitz has already claimed that Rumple did not bring magic back to protect Belle. As much as I want to think it’s all for Bae, starting to question if he’ll really give it up. Might have been an easy promise when he offered it to August, after being cold-turkey for 28 years, but I think having it back next season is going to strengthen his addiction (hence, creepily stating ‘magic is power’ to your newly reunited true love. 😕 )
