StahlopParticipant
–Roni just happens to open a locker that has a picture of her and Young!Henry in it? Sure. That’s not overly convenient at all.
I’m pretty sure Drizella meant for Henry to find it, but since Roni came instead it worked just as well. I have no idea why she wants them to know they’re connected, but it’s definitely intriguing.

I knew Ivy was playing Henry and crew. This means she cast the dark curse right? I’m wondering if no heart was required for this curse because I don’t think she cares about anyone but herself in this realm or the other realm.
Roni and Henry discovering a connection! Yay!
Also, was totally digging Roni in that CGCB shirt.
Mixed:
So they made Tiana a princess of some sort, but only of a small kingdom within another kingdom? Do I have that right? I’m very confused about how her kingdom works. I also am not sure how I feel about her story being totally different.
Looks like we’re moving forward on the missing girl story, and she has a name. I’m just not sure if I care unless it has something to do with the past.
Dr. Facilier was just okay I still think Keith David who did the voice for the movie should’ve played him. He would have made the character a lot more interesting.
Disliked:
Jacinda’s lack of faith in Sabine. She saw how well they did in the pop up, why should a fire change her view and Lucy have to change her mind?
Wreck-It Ralph reference, really?
I really wish they’d give Colin O’Donaghue something more to do. Right now Det. Rogers is so boring and not Hook like at all. They’re ruining a great character (even though he’s not the real Hook)!
No Weaver or Tilly tonight either.
Next week’s episode looks like we might be getting back on track!
StahlopParticipantRight now Victoria has her memories as does Rumpel. Alice did for a minute but the pills are suppressing it. Lucy does, of course, but we don’t know about Drizella. Everyone else is cursed.
Victoria (and now Rumple) seems to be the only one with memories of the past. Lucy seems to know, but she’s not mentioned anything about her life with Henry and Cinderella before the curse. We saw at the end of Season 6 that Henry was taken or attacked by something and then fairy version of Tiger Lily came to bring Lucy to her mother and the next time we saw her she was riding a bus to go find Henry. I’m wondering if Lucy knows just enough to try and convince Henry but doesn’t really remember her life in the EF.
StahlopParticipantJust thought of this.
I’m confused about the time line prior to when they arrive at the Edge of the Realms.
Belle and Rumple Leave Storybrook and travel around the Realms and eventually end up back in the Enchanted Forest because they are living in rumple’s castle. At least 18 years have gone by and we know that the EF runs concurrent to Storybrook. So have 18 years gone by in Storybrook as well?
Also, how did Rumple end up in the alternate EF? Obviously through a portal, but you have to think about where you’re going. He was either thinking about being near family (hence almost getting run over by Henry), or finding the guardian (which could possibly be Alice). Either way, it’s odd that that’s where he ended up. But at least we now know how he ended up in the curse.
StahlopParticipantI was really hoping they’d get Keith David (the voice of Facilier in the movie) to play him on OUAT.
StahlopParticipantI definitely think Ivy is going to go after Henry just to spite Jacinda. I couldn’t tell if she was being genuine with Henry, or just playing him. But I definitely think she will go after him. Whether she develops true feelings for him remains to be seen.
StahlopParticipantWow! Great episode. Let me just say, I’m not a Rumbelle fan in the least. I’ve never been a fan of Emilie DeRavin as Belle, but they both shined in this episode.
Liked:
Ivy and Henry together. They have so much more chemistry than he and Jacinda. Too bad that relationship is already established via Lucy. I think Ivy will make a play for him just to toy with Jacinda.
Roni’s Poisoned Apple drink and Henry saying it needed cinnamon.
Weaver being awake now. Don’t forget, he was asleep during the original curse as well until he heard Emma’s name. And knowing that he gave Alice the teacup to remind him makes me think he knew the curse was being cast (just like he wrote Emma’s name over and over to wake him from Regina’s curse).
Victoria is going to be in some trouble now!
Mixed:
I’m still out about Alice. I know everyone seems to love her but she annoyed me at the beginning of this episode and gradually grew on me. I’m definitely agreeing that she is Wish Hook’s daughter with that last scene.
While I liked the Up tribute (along with house and music), I wish it would have been with any other characters than Rumple and Belle. I’m glad they got their happiness, but since I’m not a fan, I didn’t like it so much.
Dislike:
Regardless of my feelings for Belle, I didn’t like that she died. I really didn’t want to see any of the original OUAT characters die.
Waste of the actor playing Gideon. I would’ve liked to see that relationship with his parents.
Was Henry really driving that motorcycle so fast that he didn’t recognize his grandfather standing right there?
Also, was the Edge of Realms somewhere that required a portal? I thought it was more of a four corners thing, where many of the realms touched.
I really hope they explain why portals are just springing up all over the place. It’s getting quite annoying knowing how hard it was to acquire beans previously.
All in all, I do find this the best episode so far this season, even if it’s with characters I like the least. Both did an excellent job. Rumple felt very Harry Potter to me in the epilogue of the final book. I just wonder how he will fare now that he is awake and remembers everything.
StahlopParticipantI’d forgotten that they knew each other, so I rewatched that scene. It does seem like Lady Tremaine knows Wish Hook a little, but you’d think that if they’d made a baby together that Lady T. would’ve had more of a reaction to him, especially if he left her expecting a child. What if, instead of being Hook’s baby mama, Lady Tremaine is Hook’s baby (aka Rapunzel)? He is certainly old enough to be her father. Lady Tremaine might not remember her father if she were really young the last time they saw each other, and Wish Hook might not recognize her because she is all grown up. We saw their encounter in 7×2 — the same episode we learned that Wish Hook had a daughter.
I got the feeling that Hook only has the one daughter. Considering that Wish Realm Hook would’ve been young looking up until and then aged once the timeline changed (no dark curse), I feel as though he and Lady Tremaine are roughly in the same age range (going off what his age should be from the way he looked). I don’t think she is his daughter but definitely an ex of some sort.
StahlopParticipantI didn’t understand the whole explanation of who the royal family was supposed to be either. Was Cinderella’s father the king and then the prince that was killed’s father then murdered Cinderella’s father to become king and Tremaine was trying to take the thrown back somehow. That was just all very confusing. I couldn’t tell if the resistance who was against the royal family was talking about the king, whomever that is, and the prince who was just murdered, or if they were talking about Tremaine. We know that Tremaine murdered Cinderella’s father, took part in that conspiracy, as did the prince who was killed, but Tremaine doesn’t seem to be the power in the land, not like Regina was, or Snow was, or Rumpel was, at least from what we have seen. I think there was a lot of implying here without showing or telling us enough for us to understand what is going on. It is always the throw away comments that are so thoughtless because the writers haven’t thought about anything.
I’m thinking Lady Tremaine is just an important person in power within the kingdom. She’s Lady Tremaine so Ella’s father would have been a Lord and that would make him of some importance.
StahlopParticipantI think it’s odd they introduced Anastasia right after they announced WishRealm!Hook has a missing daughter and in the same episode they dropped some pretty big Tangled hints. My money is on Anastasia.
How though? Lady Tremaine and WishRealm Hook didn’t seem to know each other in EF 2.0. You’d think they’d remember each other if they’d had a kid together.
I think they do, though. Tremaine said something to WishRealm!Hook about “after what you did…” when she transformed him into his less-heavy version.
Yes. They definitely know each other. He searched her out and she basically told him he had a lot of nerve showing up after what he did to her.
