It looks to me like they are percentages. So a 3.4 share means that 3.4 percent of Americans who own tvs were watching. Like obisgirl said, it seems to be very outdated, not taking into account dvr or online viewing. That is my understanding.

I think the pictures are hinting at the the whole “We are both,” theme of this season. I think the photo of Red walking the wolf is hinting that we’ll get to see her tame the werewolf side of her this season. At least I hope so.
