Wow! What an interesting, deep theory. I never would have thought of it, but after reading it, it seems just like something that people who were involved with Lost would use. I will be very interested to see if you’re correct.

this is something that actually bothered be a bit – their life in the orphanage was so superficially depicted. we don’t know how they’ve been there for, or if everyone was as rude as that janitor, etc.
I got the impression that they were in a foster home and that man was the foster dad, but I could be wrong. Especially since they showed us so little. 🙂
LisaFromOHParticipantMM forgiving Regina was possibly my favorite scene of the series so far. Not only was it the best thing she could have done, I agree that she was very Snow-like in doing so. I agree with RiddleRaven that she is now more like her real self than she was when David asked for forgiveness. Maybe if he asks again she will forgive him now.

Cora is the worst, taking a more active stance by ripping out Daniel’s heart and crushing it.
ROFL at “taking a more active stance.” 😆
Seriously, though, that is a prominent theme. Hopefully we will see more parents listening to their children as the curse is being broken.LisaFromOHParticipantWow! That is a very complicated theory. I doubt the writers would use one so complex for something meant to have a large, network-TV audience. But you deserve major points, Possum Snoodle, for all your research and creativity.
LisaFromOHParticipantHow fun! Enjoy it Phee. Hopefully OUaT will be as big of a hit in Australia as it is here in the States. 🙂

Although he may have been doing everything for his son, the ends do not justify the means. Bae himself saw that Rumple’s actions had crossed the line. Also, when discussing the deals Rumple has made, it’s true that the other parties agreed to them, but Rumple still took advantage of them. An example of this in our world is those “payday loan” places that charge exorbitant interest. Yes, the people agree to it, but the “payday loan” places are still taking advantage of them. Personally, I’d like to see both Rumple and Regina find redemption.
LisaFromOHParticipantWow, before you listed all of those I didn’t realize how many sets of parents and children were separated/looking for each other. That is certainly a prominent theme in the series.
LisaFromOHParticipantI would add the Star Wars movies, especially because the creators of OUaT have said they like them and called them a modern fairy tale (or some similar wording). They were apparently involved with Tron, which I haven’t seen and don’t know very much about. I don’t know if it is similar in feel at all to OUaT, since they were involved with both.

I love the new timeline and also the way of dating things (Before Curse)!
Oh, I know, I’ll still think of it as BE for myself.
I didn’t mean that I don’t like calling it BE; I just meant that I like the idea of using that day as a kind of “zero hour” for time in FTL. No insult intended. 😳
