MY question is why haven’t they shown us the heart?
I just figured they hadn’t shown us the heart because that would be too grisly for an 8:00 show, especially one that appeals to families.

Recall how when Snow White drank a potion to forget her true love, her heart became slightly darkened. It also made SW vengeful and desirous to kill Regina (until Prince Charming saved SW from that dark fate). I think that is a pretty good hint that Regina will be driven to kill her mother, Cora, and why she tried poisoned an apple to kill Snow White.
That is an excellent point. I never would have made that connection between Snow’s behavior when she’d forgotten Charming and Regina’s turning towards evil. Snow was saved from becoming irrevocably evil by her true love. Regina wasn’t able to be saved since her true love had been murdered. 🙁
LisaFromOHParticipantI disagree with thosenwho think that Regina is not angry with her mother for killing Daniel. She(Regina) didn’t exactly seem happy with her (Cora) atthe end of the episode.
Also, people keep pointing out that Snow was manipulated into telling the secret. That is true, but Regina doesn’t know that. For all Regina knows, Snow searched out Cora in order to tell her. Regina knows her mother is manipulative, but she does not know that Cora manipulated Snow into telling the secret, only that she is capable of doing so. Regina did not know Snow well enough to know that she would try to keep the secret and after this point her opinion of Snow is already prejudiced.
I hope this makes as much sense in writing as it does in my head. 🙂LisaFromOHParticipantI would like to be the keeper of Mary Margaret’s pixie haircut. It’s so cute! i wish I could pull it off in real life.
LisaFromOHParticipantThanks for sharing that amazing artwork!
LisaFromOHParticipantThat second part is funny. 🙂
I always thought that maybe they were happy and carefree because nothing had happened yet and they thought the evil queen wouldn’t follow through on her threat.LisaFromOHParticipantMy first reaction to that theory was, “Oh, cool.” Then I remembered that Regina married Snow’s father, which would be her own stepfather, if this theory is correct. That would be gross, but still possible.
LisaFromOHParticipantCool! Thanks for sharing, especially for those of us who aren’t on Twitter. 🙂
LisaFromOHParticipantOoh, good one; I never would have thought of that. The creators have said that they’re big Star Wars fans, so it’s very possible that that’s what they were thinking about when including that line/concept (“Evil isn’t born; it’s made). If that is a reference to Darth Vader/Anakin then maybe Regina will be redeemed by an act of self-sacrifice too.
