This. All of this. People just don’t get it. We are not upset because SF ship didn’t sail. Neal. Is. More. Than. A. Ship! His death effects more than Emma. If A&E want CS, whatever (they would still have to work on alot of things in order for me to see that travesty as an acceptable relationship but thats another story). But why take away a father from his son? A son from his father? Neal and Henry got virtually no true bonding time. If only people would understand that. Let them talk all they will about how we are being Debby downers. So be it. We have good reason to mourn because Neal meant more to than a ship

 

I agree Yes we all love SwanFire but as RG & Watcher and all of us have said countless times Neal was to us the just part of a ship with Emma he was a son & father and to me all of that need needed to be explored and set right.  Killing Neal was wrong just on so many levels no matter how many ways or how many times they try and justify it.  I think that the backlash that they have gotten since 315 & 3×16 – 322 and during the hiatus should tell those idiots something

Which is, when you think about it, kind of cruel. As for the rest of your post, those are my exact feelings too. I’ve always felt that A&E were/are most likely as happy about having to make CS happen as much as the rest of are. The writing was crappy because their hearts weren’t in it. SF was beautiful because that’s the story they were passionate about telling. I truly believe if ABC hadn’t stuck their nose where it didn’t belong, Once probably wouldn’t have gone down hill as much and as fast as it did. That is, not if they had let SF unfold the way it was supposed to.

I’ve been saying for quite awhile now since 3×15 that I believe that the original tale that Adam & Eddy wanted to tell us of was of course  SwanFire & their son Henry. along with both Neal & Emma’s backstories of how they came together, lost each other,and how they came back together because of their son, their parent and the curse .  Which was in my estimation a modern day fairytale the children of & grandchild of iconic fairytale characters.   I truly believe  that when they first approached  Robert, Michael & Jennifer each that is the story they had intended to tell and what sold them into doing Once Upon A Time in the first place.  I really believe that it was combination of things that forced Adam & Eddy to do this “Reset”following 3×11.   In my opinion I think  MRJ was the sacrifice in a deal between ABC/Disney, Adam & Eddy so that Adam & Eddy could get the rights to use Frozen and it’s characters and I feel that ABC loved Colin and the huge amount of CS Fans so much because they saw dollar signs.  I think  they may possibly have used their pull to also interfere and insist that CS be done instead of SwanFire. I think it’s pretty clear from whatever had went down behind the scenes  and based upon JMo’s comments in Monaco & on her Facebook Page regarding MRJ, Neal & Emma and of course Bobby Carlyle’s & Emile DeRaven’s comments & body language at this years Comic-Con in the press room when asked about Neal & MRJ was very telling about how they feel about what went down & the change in direction.. For me Once Upon A Time I loved and was so excited about  ended with 3×16 and this pod show Once Upon A Time which I seen seen other dub it as Once Upon A Hook  premiered in 3×17 with fans getting flashbacks of Neal the rest of the season.  I’m still going to watch Season 4 just for RumBelle & Henry stuff and the Neal flashbacks and maybe with slight bit of hope that Neal will be resurrected.  I still do not believe in the whole dead is dead thing even where our beloved Neal/Baelfire is concerned. I stated above I am still going to watch but  it certainly won’t be with the same passion, love and respect that I once had for Once Upon A Time and Adam & Eddy because it’s just not there after what was done to the story of Neal,Emma & Henry’ & Rumple & Belle, The Charmings all for a shiny new toy & a ship plus the treatment that MRJ & SwanFire Fans have had to endure from not only ABC as well as Adam & Eddy but also from the Hook & CS Fans as well.    Call me more jaded & guarded about Once now but I am also still bitter over what was done in Season three to a character & family that we  really loved.

I hope I haven’t offended anyone with stating my opinion on things

I read a claim that SF fans don’t really understand Emma’s abandonment issues and tend to gloss over them for the sake of a fairytale ending. I wrote why I think this is a misconception about how SF fans think, but I’ll just share it here. I can’t speak for all SF fans, but the majority I have come across certainly understand that Emma has abandonment issues, both from her parents and Neal letting her go to fulfill her destiny. However, what we also understand is that Neal also had abandonment issues from his mother walking out on him and his father letting him go due to dark magic. We took the time to understand both Emma and Neal, and saw the parallel trajectory of their lives. If anything, I started out as a big fan of Emma in s1, before we even knew who Henry’s father would be. I was simultaneously a big fan of Baelfire since he was introduced in “Desperate Souls” and we saw their stories unfolded in parallel form until they crossed paths in “Tallahassee.” That is why I think I may have shipped Swanfire before I ever even knew I did: because I loved Emma and Bae so much as individuals and wound up liking them as a couple. The fact that both Emma and Bae had a fear of abandonment complicated his decisions and helps to explain why he didn’t go after Emma when she initially broke the curse. He feared she would never forgive him. He also had severe abandonment issues from his father’s choices and never wanted to see his old man again. We SF fans also know Emma had big trust issues after the man she loved left her, because all she knew for ten years was that he left, but not the reason why. Emma eventually recognized that he did it to get her home. There was also the issue that August broke his promise to Neal to look after Emma and split with $20K from the watches that Neal intended to give to Emma. Maybe if August hadn’t stolen the money, Emma never would’ve given up Henry. Then again, if she hadn’t, she may never have come to SB, since Henry was the one who brought her there in the first place. Moreover, I would add that both Emma and Neal were orphans who both grew up alone in a world which wasn’t their own and found a home for a time with one another, in spite of everything. They understood each other on a deep level because they both had sad, lonely childhoods. Maybe it was fate, maybe it was destiny that brought them together initially, and out of their love came a child with the heart of the truest believer. So, no matter what, Emma can forever be thankful something good came from their time together: their son. I think Emma and Neal truly loved one another on a deep level. Fans of Emma and Neal rooted for them because of the mutual love they shared, both in the past and present. We were not blind to both of them having abandonment issues. In fact, I think most of us recognized that Emma was afraid of getting hurt again, just as Neal was afraid of being rejected. We wanted them to grow as people, to work on their issues, to talk about these things, whether or not they ever ended up together in a romantic sense. We saw that love existed between them, both in the past and the present. They said as much, and it would’ve been nice if they could’ve just talked things over more and to find a way to co-parent Henry. I think by the end, they were on good terms, laughing about nearly marrying evil minions, and Neal was able to wish Emma happiness, even if it weren’t with him. He respected her and gave her the necklace which had crossed worlds twice to find its way back to her. I think it’s untrue that love had only ever brought Emma pain. Think of all of the things Neal added to Emma’s life in a positive sense, not just a negative one: their son, the bug, the necklace, her concept of home…all of these things which helped to make Emma, Emma.

Hey Everyone,

Got my Season 3 DVD yesterday & I have been having a Season 3 Marathon & then yesterday I also read the EW hot seat Season 4 questions to Adam & Eddy.  I found some of Adam’s & Eddy’s answers to some these questions about Season 4 quite interesting especially about Rumple, Belle, Henry & Neal.

One thing I’ve learned and I think all of us have learned  is that  when Adam & Eddy say “We Can’t Say” that usually means we will see it at some point in the season.

I was challenged on Facebook yesterday afternoon by my cousin to do the Ice Bucket Challenge for ALS.  ALS  is a cause that is really important to me & my family because my maternal grandmother died from a rare disease very similar to ALS.

Anyway I will posting the video of me doing this challenge on Facebook & Twitter this afternoon and issuing the same challenge to MRJ, Bobby Carlyle, Jared Gilmore, Sean Macguire, Josh Dallas and a few others.  So I would really appreciate any support you guys could give me on this challenge.
