Also….MRJ said his #AskMRJ is at an odd time, “but round here lies madness”…which could be because he’s still filming for 3×17. Also, he added a cryptic “Bwahaha” which could be in keeping with his #Boom from last Friday when he let it be known he was indeed still filming. Could MRJ be giving us subtle clues to laugh in the face of speculation and/or misdirection? One can hope!
Preach it Slurpeez, RG and Phee

ParticipantWow – excellent observation about the picture comparison! I have no room for doubt in my mind any more. We were told to believe in second chances, as they apply to Neal, and that is what I’m going to do.
All aboard the “I do believe in second chances! I do believe in second chances!” train/ship/airplane
I’m on board I do believe in Second Chances

ParticipantJosh may have his plate full these days with Once, Planning a wedding & getting married to Ginny, plus a new baby. Someone one twitter said the other day that they suspected whoever it was getting killed off would not be done in Vancouver. I really thought that statement was odd but maybe they were referring to this. So I’m wondering if we are possibly losing Hook. Could this be something that might not just showcase Colin’s acting ability but also his musical talent as well
This is just an a idea I’d thought I would throw out here.

ParticipantWhile I don’t want anyone to die, if I had to predict which character would based on a story-driven perspective, I’d say Hook. He wants to be viewed as a man of honor and to recapture the good form he lost. He turned his ship around, not just for Emma, but in part, to show himself that he could change, as he told Baelfire he could in 2×22. A Hook-centric episode in which he remembers his own father and in which he remembers how he hurt young Baelfire could be his true redemption. Hook showing his son figure, Neal, that he can do right by helping him reunite with Emma and Henry would be noble. Hook’s motto was “believe a pirate can be a hero” and perhaps the way he’ll achieve that is by helping Neal get his second chance at a family. Also, Ariel is supposed to appear in 3×17. Over in the title thread, I suggested that maybe Ariel will befriend Hook in the EF or in SB and teach him what it means to put friends first, even ahead of love interests. Ariel gave up a chance to be with Eric the first time to save Snow White. Perhaps Hook will learn how to put the happiness of his good friend Neal first and stop vying for the same woman.
The title “The Jolly Roger” also has interesting connotations. It could be a double entendre: in addition to the fact that it’s the name of Hook’s ship, the sign of jolly roger is a skull and crossbones: the symbol of death. That is why you see the symbol on bottles of rat poison. Pirates adopted this symbol as a scare-tactic to let other ships know they would bring death upon them.
Slurpeez I love your idea and it would definitely give meaning to Hook’s poster for season 3 “Believe That A Pirate Can Be A Hero

Nicely connected.
If the death is Hook and this is that episode then there could be a lot of paralleling going on from 204 Crocodile and 222 And Staright On till Morning. We know Hook took Henry out on his boat for some reason. What if Hook brings Henry back to Emma/Regina and does it by escaping Wicked. A reverse of how he gave Bae to the Lost Boys. If his death is used to reunite a family, it’s a reverse parallel of how he helped break up a family in 204.
I have to agree RG it would be a nice parallel to 204

ParticipantI used to have a little dream catcher hanging in the window of my bedroom. Then I got a pair of kittens who had a fave game of climbing the curtains to get to the dream catcher, so I had to take it down. Now I wanna put it back up for fangirly reasons, but I’m pretty sure the cats would still try to get at it. *sigh* Lucky for them they’re cute.
Kittehs!
I wonder what that extra ingredient will be ? Any Ideas RG ?
My current theory is this: Emma goes to Neal’s apartment at the prompting of Hook before he is hauled off in chains. Emma goes, because she is curious. She finds the dream catcher in Neal’s apartment, picks it up and a looks into it. It’s going to work like the Cricket Game where Emma’s magic just comes out. The dream catcher will show her flashes of what happened the last time Emma was in NYC–Neal and Henry and Gold. This will cause her to trust Hook enough to bail him out of prison and drink the memory potion that will give her back her memories
Oooh I like that theory very much RG

ParticipantI think that Emma’s talisman to her real memories is the dreamcatcher and finding the dreamcatcher again in 3×12 is what is going to wake her up.
NICE! I for sure think the dream catcher is going to at least spark something in Emma. Maybe flashes of what once was and that will allow her to trust Hook enough to drink the potion. Over in one of our threads (I honestly can’t remember….) I had timelines the events of 3×12 based on time of day. The dreamcathcer sequence almost HAS to happen before she drinks the potion. So I think it is going to awaken her memories, but she needs the extra ingredient of the potion to fully be our Emma Swan again
I wonder what that extra ingredient will be ? Any Ideas RG ?
