‘Once Upon A Time’: A Major Death & More Scoop From The Final Episodes

Who’s dying? Who’s skipping town? And who’s battling their dark side? It’s going to be a crazy couple of weeks!
With just two episodes left this season on Once Upon A Time, the town of Storybrooke — as well as one or more of its inhabitants — could be facing its final days. Executive producers Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz spoke with reporters earlier this week, teasing a few major revelations to come, including one that rhymes with Meter Man. (Give it a minute, you’ll figure it out.)

Five Spoilers From ‘Once Upon A Time’
Who’s dying next? It’s been a few weeks since someone in Storybrooke has met a grizzly end — R.I.P., Cora! — and it sounds like we won’t have to wait much longer for another tragedy. Eddy told reporters that we should “perhaps” expect a death on the May 5 episode.

Is Baelfire/Neal secretly also Peter Pan? That’s been a popular fan theory as of late, but it doesn’t like it’ll pan out. (See what I did there?) In fact, a young Baelfire (Raymond Michael James) will come face-to-face with the un-aging boy in the next two weeks, so unless he figured out a way to split himself in two, they’re different people.

We’ll see the dark side of Neverland. Like most fairytale worlds, Once‘s Neverland is going to be a far cry from the whimsical Disney version we’re all used to seeing. ”We’re doing [Peter Pan and Neverland] completely differently,” Eddy told reporters.

Owen/Greg will track down his dad. But what form has Kurt taken? Will he even be alive? And with Owen’s mission complete, will he then leave town for good? All of the above questions will be answered on the May 5 episode.

Mr. Gold will have an “internal showdown.” While the EPs wouldn’t say whether or not Belle (Emilie de Ravin) gets her memory back, they did reveal that Mr. Gold (Robert Carlyle) will have to make a choice between “Lacey” and Neal. His dark side may bring Lacey closer to him, but it’ll begin to push Neal further away than ever.

Michael Raymond-James talks ‘Once Upon A Time’ finale, Kerouac

The actor reveals who ‘moved the furniture around in his brain‘

BY LIANE BONIN STARR WEDNESDAY, MAY 1, 2013 9:02 PM

As Neal Cassady on “Once Upon A Time,” Michael Raymond-James is a charming ne’er-do-well turned caring dad who seems to be right on the verge of rekindling the flame with Emma (Jennifer Morrison), the mother of his son — that is, until the evil Tamara makes her presence known in Storybrooke. However, romance is the least of anyone’s worries for the next few weeks.

With the season finale looming on May 12, Neal (or at least his youthful self, better known by his given name of Baelfire) can expect some excitement; next week the storyline takes Bae from fairytale land to Victorian London, where he meets the Darlings (whom you might remember from a little story about Peter Pan). I spoke briefly to Raymond-James about what’s coming up in the coming weeks, whether his character’s name suggests a future Kerouac crossover and whether he’s seen the Tumblr site that’s all about him. [Also, fans of the show who’d like to see an extended preview of the next episode can find it here]

We don’t want to give anything away, but it seems like Neal has some rough road ahead, doesn’t he?

He has some bumps coming up. There is a lot of unfinished business coming up with Neal and Emma and his dad [Rumpelstiltskin/Mr. Gold], and we’re going to see some of the things resolved and some scratch the surface of some of the unfinished business that will be addressed.

How has being a father to Henry changed Neal, in your opinion?

One of the things that was taken from Baelfire early on was a sense of family, and that sort of is something he’s aways been looking for and that has been absent, in that he’s been a bit of a rudderless ship. He experiences some of that with the Darling family [when Baelfire ends up in Victorian London]. With the revelation he was a father to Henry, that gives him some real solid direction. It’s something he was always looking for, because how do you create that in a world you not from with no firsthand relationship to anyone or anything? It’s tough sledding. With Henry, he’s able to dive in a little bit. The only direction he has is what not to be, because he’s not going to be his father. Neal wants so badly to be the father to Henry that he never had. He’s going to move cautiously forward.

Is there any chance that Neal will start to see that Rumpelstiltskin did make some choices for his benefit? He fled from battle because he didn’t want Baelfire to grow up without a father, for instance.

Some of that information he didn’t know, but he did see Rumpel choose magic and power over him when [he chose not to go through the portal with Baelfire] and all [Bae] wanted was his dad. So that’s a wound that’s very deep. I still think he might want to see, given a long enough timeline and the right amount of effort, another point of view. I think the wounds can begin to be healed.

Obviously, Neal’s name is spelled differently (it’s Cassidy instead of Cassady), but Jack Kerouac isn’t visiting Storybrooke, is he?

[Laughing] I was going to say, we’re going to do fairytales “On the Road.” The first meeting I had with them about doing the show, I told them if Neal Cassidy was the name I was using I was so stoked, because Jack Kerouac was one of the people who moved the furniture around in my brain. He’s always been an incredible inspiration as an artist. But even though I think there are some parallels, but I don’t think we’ re going to do a crossover. We’re not going to get a visit from Sal Paradise.

You can’t tell us much, but can you give us a hint of what to expect in the finale?

I think Neal is gonna begin to sort of say, gosh, what do I do now? There’s a lot coming up that’s going to answer a lot of questions, but create new questions, too. We’re gonna get to see where we go from here, after what happens in the finale.

Have you seen the Tumblr page devoted to you? It’s called F— Yeah, Michael Raymond-James.

No, I haven’t. That’s fantastic. I’m not sure if I want to see it, because people can be incredibly brutal on the Internet.

I think it’s safe to say this site is very, very loving.

    Okay, that’s cool!

I wouldn’t surprised if they made MRJ a regular in season 3

But I think it’s obvious that Neal & Emma still love each other and we will be seeing that in Season 3

On April 30, Hollywood Life revealed some “Once Upon a Time” season 2 spoilers for the last few episodes and it turns out there will be a major death and someone will leave town. It seems that the end of the season will be exciting.

Warning: If you do not want to know “Once Upon a Time” season 2 spoilers, then stop reading.

Executive producers Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz recently spoke about the show and what fans can expect. One tidbit they revealed was that there somebody is going to die on the May 5 episode, but who will be killed off? Could it be Tamara, who is not in Storybrooke with good intentions? It is unlikely that is would be Snow or The Evil Queen because they are such big characters in the show. There are a lot of theories out there, but nobody will know for sure until the episode airs.

A lot of fans are wondering if Baelfire is Peter Pan, but Hollywood Life doesn’t think so. They wrote that a young Baelfire will face the boy who doesn’t age in the next few weeks. Based on that information, they said it is not a possibility.

    http://www.examiner.com/article/once-upon-a-time-season-2-peter-pan-and-a-major-death

Another spoilers is viewers will see the dark side of Neverland. Eddy said that they are doing Peter Pan and Neverland completely different.

It turns out that Greg will find his father a lot of questions about his situation will be answered on May 5. What form has Kurt turned into and is he even alive are a few questions that will be dealt with. Also, fans will find out if Owen will leave town now that his mission is complete.

Mr. Gold is going to have to make a choice between Lacey and Neal. The executive producers said that he will have an “internal showdown.” While his dark side might bring Lacey closer, it will push Neal away.

I suspect the major death will be Granny and that is based on the BTS pictures those last few days of filming

I think this time Rumple will choose Neal & Henry over power and Lacey who seems to bring out his darkness and I suspect Neal,Emma, Rumple, David, Snow will end up working together to rescue Regina from, Hook, GOAT and that Emma & Neal will face off Tamara & Greg but I don’t think that face off will happen until the beginning of 2×22. I suspect that Neal does get sent through a portal but I think it will be a portal to Neverland. Now whether it happens during a confrontation with GOAT while he & Emma are trying to protect Henry is anybody’s guess.

I think if Neal gets sent through a portal, then GOAT take Henry to try and escape Storybrooke after they have unknowningly activated Regina’s fail safe that could motivate Emma, David,Snow,Rumple,Belle/Lacey, Regina, Red,etc to want to go after them and either they will force Hook to take them or he will offer to take them. But
I think before the end of 2×22 will see everyone in Neverland,.

I did read a spoiler that said Emma’s magic will come into play these last 2 episodes of the season so I’m thinking she may try to use her magic to search for Henry & Neal and to protect Storybrooke from GOAT

Nonnie can you post the YouTube link please.

OMG I knew it Neal & Emma still love each other Yes !!!!!!

So it appears that Adam & Eddy ship SwanFire, Rumbelle, Snowing . Now if they give us some EvilCaptain that would be cool.

That beach scene totally makes me believe that SwanFire is the endgame and I gave a feeling MRJ will be a series regular next season

OMG so many SwanFire feels in that one clip. I knew it Neal & Emma still love each other. So Adam & Eddy Ship SwanFire, Rumbelle, Snowing. I’m betting we will see some EvilCaptain as well in Season 3

This ladies & gentlemen just proves that SwanFire is the Endgame. I bet anything that Adam & Eddy make MRJ a regular in season 3

We know based on the BTS spoiler pics that the majority of the core cast is most likely headed to Neverland by boat in 2×22 in what is most likely the pursuit of GOAT in an attempt to save Henry who we know will be taken by those two.

I would like to know what prompts GOAT to take Henry in the first place.

I can’t help but wonder if we will see the core cast in Neverland by the end of the season finale ?

I still think Neal gets sent to Neverland at the beginning of 2×22 and that is where he meets Mulan, Philip, Auroua. My question is who sends him & why ? GOAT, Hook, Regina or Rumple.

Here’s what The Huffington Post learned during our conversation with Kitsis and Horowitz. Warning: Light spoilers ahead!

    Love is in the Air
Despite all the doom and gloom of a magical trigger that could potentially wipe Storybrooke off the map, the showrunners promised that there would still be developments on the romantic front. “You see Emma [Jennifer Morrison] really suppressing her feelings. It’s obvious she still holds a torch for Neal; it’s obvious that he still has feelings for her,” Kitsis said. “She’s so scarred. It’s hard for her to open up her heart … I’d like to explore that and I think next year we’d love to explore what happens when other people find love — we see it with Rumple, but I think love is pretty much what the franchise of the show is. Everyone’s in search of it but they pick really stupid ways to get to it.”

Horowitz agreed, “Before the end of the season, you’ll see more of the Rumple and Belle/Lacey relationship, so love plays a big part in the rest of the season. Whether they’ll be happy and together is another question …”

    Magic Touch
The show will also “explore the magic inside” Emma in the final two installments, Kitsis previewed. “I think there’s a part of Emma that is still reeling from all this. I don’t think she cares for it — was the first time she starts to question it … She’s really embraced being a mother this year, and she’s really coming to grips with it … In the finale, it’s going to set up for her next year to say I have a new purpose and maybe it’s time I commit either one way or the other.”

Only one episode remains before the “Once Upon a Time” Season 2 finale, and creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz teased what to expect from the final two hours of the season on Monday morning.

The co-creators screened the first two acts of the penultimate episode, “Second Star to the Right,” for a small group of reporters and answered some burning questions as well.

Here’s what The Huffington Post learned during our conversation with Kitsis and Horowitz. Warning: Light spoilers ahead!

    New Faces and Old Friends
As the first 10 minutes of “Second Star to the Right” can attest, the final two episodes of Season 2 will feature a number of characters from “Peter Pan,” including Wendy Darling. And since Bae/Neal (Michael Raymond-James) has a heretofore unexplained tie to Neverland that somehow relates to Hook (Colin O’Donoghue), the “Once Upon A Time” season finale will apparently be “very Hook centric” in terms of its flashbacks, while also giving Bae “more background as a character.”

Kitsis promised that “what happens with [Bae] and Wendy and the Darling family is the emotional touchstone of what these last two hours are,” but fans will also see the return of Mulan (Jamie Chung), Aurora (Sarah Bolger) and Philip (Julian Morris) before the season is out.

Still, the creators pointed out, since they like to add new twists to old stories, even familiar characters from Peter Pan’s world will have a “OUAT” flavor. For example, “The shadow is probably not the lovely cuddly shadow we remember. The way we look at Peter Pan and the way we look at Neverland will be a completely different take,” Kitsis said.

    A New Initiative?
Tamara (Sonequa Martin-Green) and Greg (Ethan Embry) are definitely up to no good, having kidnapped Regina and found a way of deactivating her magic in “The Evil Queen,” and the producers promise we’ll learn a lot more about the duo before the credits roll on the season finale. “You will find out who the home office is, you will find out what they want, but you won’t know why,” Kitsis revealed. “Since we’ve all been trained with Initiatives and secret organizations, we are hoping to lead you down a different path.”

Horowitz added, “They’re here for a mission, and whether or not they succeed in that mission will be in the finale … more about them and their background and their motivations will be revealed, and it will all be tied into the end run of the next episode and a half.” We’ll also find out what happened to Greg’s missing father in “Second Star to the Right.”

    Bad Company
The producers promised a “very honest conversation” between Rumple (Robert Carlyle) and Belle/Lacey (Emilie de Ravin) in “Second Star to the Right,” which will also play into the prophecy about Henry (Jared Gilmore) somehow being his grandfather’s undoing. “Right now he’s … clearly on a bender with Lacey, he’s clearly abandoned his son. Our characters like to repeat their own mistakes because I think we as humans constantly repeat our own mistakes,” Kitsis pointed out. “The villains this year are all trying to go on the straight and narrow and none of them can seem to get off the bottle, and so … I would hate to find out, if [Lacey] heard about this prophecy, what she thinks about letting a little child stand in the way.”

    Heart of Darkness
Snow’s (Ginnifer Goodwin) darkening heart will be a “huge part in the finale,” Horowitz said. “It’s really starting to motivate her and push her. There’s a lot of feelings of guilt for what she’s done and she sees a tough road ahead of her, which is, ‘How do I heal this dark heart?'”

What are your predictions for the final two episodes of the season? Who do you think Greg and Tamara are working for and how do you think Bae ties into Neverland? Weigh in in the comments!

“Once Upon a Time” airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
