Neal (Michael Raymond-James) has been to Neverland, but does that necessarily make him Peter Pan?
Kitsis: It does not!Is it just me or does Eddy seem way too indignant for his own good? (That by itself a clear indicator that Nealfire is also Peter Pan). 🙂
I thought the same thing. The good sir doth protest too much. NealFire Pan!
I agree Eddy is protesting way too much which could indicate Neal/BaelFire is Peter Pan

I have a feeling several of our questions about Neal’s decision and what all happened between him and August are going to be answered in episode 2×18 (Selfless, Brave, & True). Those are things I’ve been wondering about since Tallahassee and I would really like to see some answers because I’m still ready to turn August into kindling for his part in everything. 😉
I think you’re right we are going to get some answers in episode 2×18. I think August may have known that Emma was pregnant when he met up with Neal in Vancouver because he was awful determined to make sure that Neal wouldn’t try to find which facility Emma was in. I’m inclined to think that August may have had a hand whoever persuaded Emma to put Henry up for adoption & then made sure Emma’s son was adopted by someone in Storybrooke. I think had Neal found out about Emma’s pregnancy he would never have left her and would have wanted them to be a family.
Neal/Bae just strikes me as the type of person who wouldn’t just abandon the woman he loves or his child based on what he went through himself as a child.lisas

Oh, in her absence, can we please see more of King George and his evilness? A loose thread that bears picking up again. Not all the people of Storybrooke are innocent or on the Charmings’ side.
Now I suspect at some point King George will try to go after Emma & Henry just to get at David & Snow. It wouldn’t surprise me if King George teamed back up with the Evil Queen Regina

This conversation brings to mind the song by the group Little Texas called “What Might Have Been”. The story is about a couple separated and coming together once more, but realizing maybe it’s better to leave everything in the past and move on. Is it really worth it to pick back up again or should you move on to other things.
“What Might Have Been”
Sure I think about you now and then, but it’s been a long, long time
Well I’ve got a good life now, I moved on
So when you cross my mindI try not to think about what might have been
Cause that was then and we have taken different roads
We can’t go back again
There’s no use giving in
And theres no way to know what might have beenWe can sit and talk about this all night long and wonder why we didn’t last
Yes, they might be the best days we will ever know
But we’ll have to leave them in the pastSo try not to think about what might have been…
Same old look in your eyes,
It’s a beautiful night
I’m so tempted to stay
But too much time has gone by
We should just say goodbye and turn and walk awayTry not to think about what might have been…
No we’ll never know what might have been.
Let’s hope our SwanThief/SwanFire has a better ending. We might not know what might have been, but there still is “what may be”. 😎
I truly believe that Neal is Emma’s true love & Emma is Neal’s true love. I don’t believe that their path to get back together will be an easy one. I think that Neal may care for Tamara but I don’t think he really loves her as much as he still loves Emma. It’s obvious that he still does love her and never stopped. I think if anything Neal was settling for Tamara because he felt that he may never ever see Emma again.
Emma I feel still loves Neal very much but is still hurt. In my opinion if she didn’t still love him. she wouldn’t have kept the car or the keychain. and she definitely wouldn’t have went to Tallahassee for 2 years.
Rumple saw it in Manhattan that Emma still loved Neal which is why he said “You Want A Second chance with that man” Emma in my opinion looked a bit hurt & saddened when he told he was engaged to Tamara.
Which is why this song by Lonestar comes to mind for Emma & Neal
“Not A Day Goes By”
Got a picture of you I carry in my heart
Close my eyes to see it when the world gets dark
Got a memory of you I carry in my soul
I wrap it close around me when the nights get cold
If you asked me how I’m doin’ I’d say just fine
But the truth is baby, if you could read my mindNot a day goes by that I don’t think of you
After all this time you’re still with me it’s true
Somehow you remain locked so deep inside
Baby, baby, oh baby, not a day goes byI still wait for the phone in the middle of the night
Thinkin’ you might call me if your dreams don’t turn out right
And it still amazes me that I lie here in the dark
Wishin’ you were next to me, with your head against my heart
If you asked me how I’m doing I’d say just fine
But the truth is baby, if you could read my mindNot a day goes by that I don’t think of you
After all this time you’re still with me it’s true
Somehow you remain locked so deep inside
Baby, baby, oh baby, not a day goes byMinutes turn to hours, and the hours to days
Seems it’s been forever that I’ve felt this wayNot a day goes by that I don’t think of you
After all this time you’re still with me it’s true
Somehow you remain locked so deep inside
Baby, baby, oh baby, not a day goes bylisas

The only one responsible for what Snow have done to Cora is none other than Cora. Cora who wanted to become the new Dark One. Cora who sent Hook in Manhattan. Cora who tried to kill all the Charmings. Cora who was about to kill Rumpel.
What do you think seriously? If you where Rumpel wouldn’t you want to do anything to avoid dying? Wouldn’t you trade your life for the one of an evil witch who want nothing but kill everyone to gain power including you? What would you do? Ask yourself this and answer in all conscience, with sincerity, what would you do?
And Snow isn’t responsible for Daniel death, I’m tired of people holding this against her. She was a little girl. She was naive, she was a child who choose to trust an adult. Cora and Cora only is responsible for Daniel death. End of story.
I agree Cora has nobody to blame for what ultimately happened to her but herself. She started down this path of wanting revenge before she even met Rumple. Granted Rumple did amplify her need for revenge and her quest for power by teaching her magic but I don’t think Rumple is completely responsible for the bloodlust she had or the murders she committed in my opinion that mindset was already inside of her, case in point she murdered Snow’s mother Queen Eva years later for the humiliation she suffered at Eva’s & the king’s hands. She continued her vengeance on Eva’s daughter Snow who was an innocent child at the time and knew nothing about the history that Eva had with Cora, etc.
Cora passed on her anger and need for revenge on Snow to Regina, by killing Daniel. Snow didn’t kill Regina’s true love that was all Cora.
Rumple I feel was justified in taking the actions that he did to save his life. He really didn’t have any other options. Granted the method and the way he went about it by manipulating Snow to use the candle is questionable it is understandable given the circumstances after all Cora recruited Hook to bring her to Storybrooke knowing full that Hook wanted to kill Rumple. She made sure Rumple would be leave Storybrooke and find Bae, she also knew that Hook would most likely find a way to get to Rumple outside of Storybrooke because that would be his one chance to kill him. She set Hook on that path knowing full well what could happen.
Rumple’s actions were justified but they were also questionable in the way he manipulated Snow. All the hurt and heartache that Snow had over the years was started by Cora. In my opinion Snow was equally justified in wanting to kill Cora for killing her mother, etc which is what Rumple played on to manipulate her. It’s understandable what would drive these two to become united in killing Cora.
I’m not saying it was100% right or 100% wrong. I’m saying it was not only justified but in the long run it was also necessary to protect the people of Storybrooke and to save their lives and the lives of their families.

ParticipantSorry if this comes across as a rant but this is how I see things in regards to Rumple’s actions where Cora, Regina, Snow, etc are concerned.
There is no question that Rumple manipulated Snow into using that candle on Cora in order to save his life. I think Rumple knows that he isn’t entirely blameless in what happened to Cora and he does need to take responsibility for his actions, which I suspect will start to happen in Episode 2×17 “Welcome To Storybrooke” by helping David,Emma, Henry, Snow and Neal deal with Regina But In my opinion Cora brought all this on herself from the very beginning. Her anger at Eva and the king over her humiliation in the center of town by the royals sparked something in her that literally pushed her over the edge. She wanted to make people like the king & Eva pay and when Rumple taught her how to use magic she simply saw it as a ticket to getting the power that she desired and a way to get back at those who humiliated her. I think she did truly love Rumple but in the end I think her desire and thirst for revenge won out and fueled her bloodlust and need for power and control.
It was Cora who killed Snow’s mother for what Eva did to her. She could have stopped with that murder and chose not to. She wanted to hurt Eva’s daughter Snow as well who was an innocent child at the time and had no knowledge of what happened between Eva & Cora long before she was born. That is just twisted and psychotic. Going after Snow didn’t stop with that she manipulated a series of events including tricking young Snow into telling her about Regina and her true love Daniel the stable boy in which she killed in order to put Regina in a position to eventually get the throne and breed her anger & hatred of Snow. Which Regina did carry into her marriage with Snow’s father the king. Who Regina ultimately used genie/magic mirror Sydney to kill the king on her behalf and we all know what that eventually led to. Cora can also be blamed for using magic to control Regina and it was Regina’s way breaking free of Cora thanks to Rumple manipulating Regina into sending Cora through the looking glass portal to Wonderland in his attempt to get even with Cora for breaking his heart all those years before and he trained Regina to use dark magic so that he could make the curse and later have Regina cast the curse to get back at Snow.
I believe Rumple finally realized that Cora had to be stopped and he knew he was not only too weak & dying to do anything to stop her and he most likely still loved her deep down and couldn’t do what needed to be done so he manipulated Snow into doing what he couldn’t do in the end when everything was all said and done.
Personally I saw this as Rumple taking some responsibility for the monster that he created so long ago and was really trying to make things right not only for himself but also for his son Baelfire/Neal & his new family members Snow,David,Emma and grandson Henry.

He can hope all he wants but at the end of the day Emma knows that he knew about all of it, abandoned her in jail, and as annoyed as she will hopefully be with August someday she’ll know that Neal had the option to come find her the moment the curse was broken and confess all and say he did what he did out of love…and instead was off avoiding her because of his dad and getting engaged to someone else. That does not scream love to me. Coward sure, like father like son, but he CHOSE this path. He may be nice and sweet but Emma’s right about the hurtful side. He makes bad choices and apparently hasn’t stopped making them…yet.
I agree with SOME things you say, (I say this loving Nealfire, Swanfire and liking CaptainSwan too)….Nealfire has to make up for his wrongs (sending Emma to jail SO not nice), he has made some bad choices for sure, and acted cowardly by leaving Emma because of the possibility of being reunited with his father….. BUT I think that he is a GOOD person , and he did want her to be happy and truly loves her, and that everything that happened after Manhattan, seeing her again was a total surprise for him, I believe in his mind he thought when Emma would break the curse, she would have her family, and that they would all go back to fairytale land!! We have not seen August/Neal talk about the details of the curse yet, SO we don’t know if August told him they would all go back to FTL (remember Neal acted surprised to see Emma, he told her “what are you doing here??” this could point to that theory, also to back that up Everyone in the episode “Broken” was asking themselves WHY they did not go back to FTL),
So MAYBE Nealfire though he DID NOT HAVE AN OPTION!! Emma was gone forever (I will believe that until having the writers prove me otherwise) that he would NEVER see Emma again, and as the writers have said he thought “that door was closed for him”, so that is why I think he tried to move on with Tamara, because he thought Emma was forever gone as a possibility for him, But now I guess things could change….Still I hope for Swanfire to work it out, I agree they have a LONG way to go,lots of issues to resolve, BUT maybe the could fall in love again, or maybe not…we will see…
EastOfTheSun What you’re saying does make alot of sense I think we will have to see how the writers tackle this. But I think by the Season Finale & the start of Season 3 we will see maybe some headway of Emma & Neal slowly getting back together because I think it will ultimately be Henry that reunites his parents in the end, because that would be his happy ending being together with both of his parents & grandparents (Snow & David, Rumple)
