Just finished watching The Princess Bride a little while ago and now my heart is aching to have SwanFire back

Okay ABC As well as Adam & Eddy REALLY ? I don’t know what that show was that I was watching last night but that was definitely NOT Once Upon A Time. I’m sorry for any CS Fans who read this but I’m completely disgusted by the 3×17 The Jolly Roger.

Hook being lying & deceitful I think we are pretty much used to but even last night was totally & completely OOC even for him.

Emma wanting to learn magic from Regina well we saw that Neverland but now she has gotten a taste of just how powerful she really is I don’t think it will be something that she can give up now. But the whole I’m done living in the past bit came completely out of nowhere and was completely & totally out of character for Emma to say considering how much she loved Neal. I don’t understand it nor do I get it I mean really WTH Neal just freaking died a couple of days ago basically by Zelena’s hand and we are getting this crap from the writers, Adam & Eddy and ABC just so they can pave the way for CS. Pardon me while I throw up. There was a million other ways for them to go that route without offering up Neal & MRJ as the sacrificial lamb to the slaughter for the CS & Hook Fans which to me was nothing more then fan pandering to the masses. They did not have to kill Neal and deny Neal, Henry, Rumple & Belle their happy endings. At this point I am disgusted with the writing for 3B it is completely all over place there is no continuity to it all. They basically & effectively just assassinated Jennifer Morrison’s strong character of who Emma Swan is supposed to be by turning her into a fan girl for Hook who is supposedly reformed which I still do not buy at all. They assassinated Michael Raymond-James character Neal had him do something which we all know was completely out of character for him. What are they going to do next kill Henry for real effectively ending the Stilitskin-Charming Family so thsat they can merge the Charming-Jones family line. I wouldn’t put it past ABC to order Adam & Eddy to do just that in order to appease the Masses. For a show that is supposedly about Fairy Tales, everything that comes with it like True Love & True Loves Kiss, Belief, Hope, Second Chances, Redemption, Happy Ever Afters & Happy Endings I am not seeing it.

At this point I’m only watching just to see the Michael Raymond-James in Flashbacks. I hope he does find another show that will let him shine for the talented actor that he is.

Heather I love your idea of Road To Paloma Party to celebrate it’s release on DVD. We should definitely plan to do something.

I’m SwanFire girl & Neal/BaelFire Fan as well as a MRJ Fan and I will continue to be one I will not let someone or even a network dictate to me what or who I should or shouldn’t be a fan of. I still have faith that we will see Neal again. But as to when I don’t know and that is the really sad part.

Excuse my rant please but I needed to get this off of my chest

Now Let me just say this to any CS Fans who maybe reading this

CS Maybe happening But I believe the only reason why we are being given this crappy storyline is because ABC wanted it and most likely interfered with the original story that A & E were wanting to tell. If anything this was fan pandering at it’s ugliest. As much as Adam & Eddy continue to keep saying that this action regarding MRJ & the character of Neal was Story Driven the more I am doubting very seriously that it was indeed the case, there is just to many things that don’t add up. In my opinion Adam & Eddy along with all of the writers caved to the network politics( when I say network politics I’m not just saying ABC Brass I’m talking about advertising, publicity, sponsers, etc. I’m pretty sure Matthew knows the gist of what I am talking about.) that was probably involved in making sure that Once got renewed & with the idea of syndication following the blunder with Once Upon A Time In Wonderland plus you add the pressure of those fans who wanted CS to happen and you’ve got a mixture ripe for changing things. As I said CS maybe happening but that does not mean that I have to accept it or like it in any way shape or form and there is nobody who is going to change my mind about that.

I will Never Ever accept CS as endgame because I do not believe for a second that this is the story that Adam & Eddy originally wanted to tell.

Fairy Tales are supposed to be filled with Hope, True Love, Belief, Second Chances, Redemption, Happy Endings, True Loves Kiss, all mixed in together with magic, sorcery, sword fighting, archery, Kings & Queens, Prince’s Princess’, Fairies, Pirates, Witches, Wizards, and all kinds of mythical creatures like dragons, unicorns, etc And we pretty much got most of that in Seasons 1-3A, The writing of it was on par with what Fairy Tales should be. It’s only now in Season 3B that things have dramatically changed. You tell how much it’s changed based on the writing, the way the actors are portraying the characters and the direction of the storyline. The excitement that actors once had for Once doesn’t appear to be there now and you can tell that by their online presence when they are tweeting with fans.

In my opinion Neal should have been given his happy ending with Emma & Henry, Rumple & Belle given the type of life that he was given and the suffering that he endured. They could have given Neal his happy ending and still separated them until the end of the show and brought him back as if to say see these people will get their happy ending after all. Killing him was not the answer. It was nothing more then a plot device so that they could make sure that CS could happen. So in my estimation CS & Hook is nothing more then a second choice for Emma since her choice of who she would choose was taken completely away by Neal’s death. So I hope that the Hook & CS Fans can live with the fact they won solely by default.

For those that say that Zelena isn’t to blame for what happened to Neal I would say go back and watch episodes 3×10,3×11,3×12,3×13,3×14,3×15,3×16 again Zelena clearly states in 3×16 that she is 100% responsible for Neal’s death. So in my opinion whatever she gets in the end from Emma, Rumple, Regina,Charming, Snow, Belle, Hook, Robin Hood, Henry she deserves.

I said before that I would watch the rest of the season and I will but my view of the show is very jaded now. I no longer have the same enthusiasm for Once as I did when it first started. I no longer trust Adam & Eddy on anything they say. What they did to MRJ and the character of Neal was nothing more the character assassination. I like others have said several pages back believe there has got to me more to this just judging by the complete shift in the direction of the story plus given MRJ taking to twitter to set the record straight on somethings surrounding his departure from Once. It was only after Michael took to twitter to set the record straight that Adam began to come out and face the fans and even then he did with a lot of sass and he managed to sidestep a lot of fans questions & the feedback that they were giving him. Then in that time the articles came out from TVLine, TVGuide, EOnline, Entertainment Weekly ,etc. What I find odd about the whole thing is there was nothing from castmates Josh,Ginny,JMo,Jared,Bobby,Emile,Collin,Lana about how great it was to work with him or anything like that.

Which is why I say something about this whole thing just isn’t right.

First of all yay we made it past a 1000 pages which is totally awesome but I am just sick about the way we got here.

I ordered Terriers which is a great show by the way MRJ really realy shines in that show, Just as he shined in Once Upon A Time.

Sorry for the rant but I just needed to get this off of my chest

I still feel like we aren’t getting the real story about why they killed Neal off. But the way this episode came about it just seemed really rushed. Everything about it was completely out of character for Neal, Belle, Emma, Henry, Rumple, Hook and even down to Snow & Charming. To me this was a complete character assassination

I don’t know about the rest of you but I feel betrayed as well as hurt and I’m still angry

Neal’s death on Once just feels wrong on so many levels. What kind of message does this send about having Hope & Faith, getting Second Chances, finding & fighting for True Love, earning Redemption, Happy Endings. Because by killing Neal I feel as though Adam & Eddy changed the vision of the show. Out of all of the characters on the show Neal was the one who was the most real. Neal sacrificed himself and happiness many times over for everyone else but himself.

I truly believe that Neal deserves to be happy. He deserves to have his second chance with Emma the woman whom he loves as well as the second chance to be with his son Henry and watch him grow up. Neal deserves the chance to really make things right with his father.

You tell me what part any of this is right or just. The way I see it Adam Horowitz & Eddy Kitsis gave fans a message of false hope. Neal’s Promo Poster said Believe In Second Chances. I certainly don’t call this a second chance.

What kind of message does it send when it appears that the villain who actually responsible for many of things that Neal had to endure in his life gets to step in and take his place with the good guy’s family & friends there by stealing the happy ending that should have belonged to the hero.

I don’t know what to say except that nothing about any of this right. Neal is & will remain my favorite character & SwanFire my favorite couple. I am determined to not lose sight of that when watching the rest of the season. I can’t watch Once the same as I did before I don’t have the same enthusiasm about the show as I once did because I feel as though Adam & Eddy changed their story. Now whether it was because ABC Brass or Fan Service I don’t know and I don’t think we will ever really know the full story from their end. But I do applaud MRJ for coming out breaking radio silence on twitter and setting the record straight on everything regarding the rumors surrounding his exit from the show. He is a real class act. He is the real deal as far actors go because he is so down to earth, laid back and easy going. He is an actor with integrity and despite is success has been able to stay honest and true to himself and his fans while at the same time keeping his private life to himself and away from the media. I will continue to support MRJ in his career.
Neal right now in the present may be gone and we may only see him in flashbacks like Graham. But I don’t believe that anything is ever really over and that dead is dead and that done is done especially in the world of television & film so I’m going to continue living by the mandate of Never Say Never and Anything Is Possible and continue to believe in Neal & Emma’s beautiful dream of Tallahassee

Do I trust Adam & Eddy anymore ? The answer to that is no. Do I believe their vision for the show changed ? Absolutely. I would very much like to hold on to the vision from Seasons 1, 2 & 3A because that is when they held true the vision of what Fairy Tales actually represent which is Believing in Second Chances, Hope, Home, Redemption, True Love & Happy Endings. Where as in 3B I feel that everything about the show that made it magical and enchanting and at times spellbinding has changed very dramatically.

As said before I will continue to watch the rest of the season to see if any of what they have done has any merit in regards to destroying Neal’s character and then having him die a hero. I see no rhyme & reason to it at this juncture, but I believe my view of the show is now more jaded then anything else.

I will continue to pay homage to SwanFire here and post pics and fanfic and videos.

I consider all of you my friends and hope that no matter what the future holds that we can continue to believe in SwanFire’s dream of Tallahassee, Second Chances, True Love, Home, Family, Hope and Happy Endings.
