So I was watching Beauty and the Beast a few days ago, and I realized another connection between the two shows. Gaston threatened to send Belle’s fathers away to a mental institution (because no one believed he saw the beast) if Belle did not agree to marry him. I thought it was interesting OUAT tied in this story line by having Belle locked in the institution for unfair reasons. Did anyone else notice this?

Before I was not nervous at all about the dagger scene with Gold and August…but now I’m getting worried…Rumple can’t die, HE HAS THE BEST LINES!and then throws her out of the castle.
I always looked at that scene as Rumple letting her go and be free because he knew he was no good for her.
