ParticipantDisappointing that she wasn’t Zelena in disguise with the bottle of potion in her hand in that promo pic. Starting to think we won’t get any answers about how he got the mysterious message at all in this ep, and that’s gonna be frustrating. Good to see my crackship interacting finally!
If we don’t get the answer that now, then I wonder when.
318 = FTL of the far far past
319 = Oz (so maybe then?)
320 = who know?! Big ol’ mystery. But based on title, I’d say more Walsh/Oz story
321/322 = maaaaaaybe?
Curious as to why Ariel thinks Hook has anything to do with Eric in the first place. What led her to that conclusion, I wonder.
Everyone please remember the spoiler tags aren’t working before reading:
Remember, this episode is written by the same person who wrote “Good Form”. Remember last season, when Killian rebelled against the King, and his wars? I am sure word of his becoming a pirate had spread, and I suspect Eric is that king’s sonI also suspect his father may have something to do with his needing to be rescued at the point where this story is taking place.
I am thrilled with this spoiler! My prescious pirate does not disappoint! 🙂

ParticipantThanks Obisgirl, Jenna, and Suryya! 🙂
About the suit of armour: I don’t know where it would play into this, but I think I like the possibility of the seer, with a “what if” scenario. How did Hook find his ship? We know he does, but he obviously had a plan of action when he left the EF in 3B’s premiere. He had an awful lot of confidence, versus someone who might blindly search an entire planet for his ship. I think he knew of, or knew someone who might be able to help him find it, and the “knight” vision somehow plays into what he was told. A warning, though. Remember: What the seer says seems to have a catch to it, as it did with Rumple. This makes things more unpredictable, and very interesting!Edit: Sorry, for not including spoiler tags. None of the spoilers were showing up in my post. 🙁

ParticipantI don’t know about TLK, but I don’t see them falling in love this episode. For some reason though, my intuition keeps flagging episode 19 (A curious thing) as a possibility. It doesn’t necessarilly mean TLK, but my gut says there’s going to be something. I’ve nothing to back it up with and could be wrong, but….let’s just call it a feeling.
As for how Emma will fall in love with Hook: Emma is blinded right now. She’s blinded by her walls, which are comprised of two things: Fear, and caution which come from recent events, and her perception of normal as developed since childhood. She never had any stability. She always had to depend on herself. She’s never learned to completely trust anybody. Something will have to disrupt her foundation; her world view, and shake her perception of normality for these walls to come down. They might never come down, completely.
Remember: When people fall in love with someone, they don’t just give them their heart. They accept a vulnerability with an acceptance of that person being worth the risk that they might get hurt. Emma’s walls are why for now, for her to fall in love with Hook, she will need to make herself vulnerable. For her to do that, I think will take something shocking, or drastic; at least, at this point. People don’t just say okay, you win, let down their walls, kiss, and walk away holding hands while birds sing. No, her foundation needs to be shaken, and her world view disrupted.
Why do I know this? I am a foster parent. I have learned a lot, and having spoken to other parents about older children, have learned about attachment issues which develop after years of no stability. It’s not just a matter of not wanting to have relationships. Remember: Emma was a foster child her whole life. she probably never really learned how to develop or maintain long-term relationships. When she was ready to try that with Neal, she got her heart broken (and Walsh ended up being a flying monkey.
Remember how hesitant she was, when Walsh asked for her hand in marriage? She trusted Walsh to a point, but her hesitation, if it was in any part due to her superpower, was mostly due to what a “marriage” would represent to her, and the part of herself she’d have to give up; the walls she’d put up became an object of security for her, and that meant loosing some of that. Her wall was fortified even more, when she learned walsh was someone she couldn’t trust. That’s why she’s so cold toward Hook. She doesn’t dislike him, but she doesn’t trust him, either. She can’t. Not yet.
Emma is a very intelligent and beautiful lady with a lot of street smarts, but in many ways, is still a child herself. That’s why one of two things will need to happen for her to become receptive to a long-term relationship. It will need to be a slow-burn (which in a real-world setting can take years), or something drastic will need to happen, which would be traumatic enough to shake her perception of reality.
Sorry, long post, and I know a lot of it may seem redundant, but I hope my point comes across well.

Participant^^^ I thought he let her win and just played dead
One line here really got me; that he was there when Cora tried to steal her heart. I thought he was knocked out during all that.
I picked that up too- I just thought maybe he had started to come too about then & saw it.
It just occurred to me! He purposefully lost that fight to help her and Mary Margaret get away from Cora and escape back to Storybrooke. He never intended to keep Emma away from her son. He was just “playing possum”!
I LOVE that idea guys! How cool would that be to have as cannon/fact
I edited my first post to add this in, but this makes so much sense! There is a pattern of sacrifices he keeps making for her! 1. The fight in EF between him, and Cora (which he purposefully lost). He took a chance he might never see her again, to help her and MM get away from Cora, and back to Henry! 2. Gave up his quest for revenge 3. Took a chance in Neverland by telling Emma Bae was alive 4. Had to let her go in last season’s finale so she and Henry could be safe 5. In this episode or later down the road, we might find out he sacrificed the Jolly Roger. Not fact yet, but highly suspected. He really is her Knight in Shining Armour!

ParticipantThanks for the sneak peek, Obisgirl! I’ll be watching that, here in just a moment.
About the argument concerning Emma: I am writing to jump into that, and am offering a different perspective. I don’t think Emma is mean. I think Emma is scared. She has been hurt so much, has been through so much in her life, and has seen so many people hurt and lost, that she’s afraid to invest her heart. The way she’s treating Hook is not the result of aggression. It’s a protective shield she’s put up to protect her heart for the fear of it getting broken again….I mean afterall, a man she dearly loved and who hurt her; a man she was still coming to terms with forgiving has died, and now she has to add him to the laundry list of disappointments in her life. She’s afraid to make her heart vulnerable to anybody. Yes, she trusts Hook more than most, but still not completely. Not because of him, but because of her. That’s why I think that before she can allow her heart’s surrender to him, she’s going to have to be shocked into a realization of what it could cost for her to lose him. I don’t want anything bad to happen to Hook, but I think it’ll take something traumatic and drastic for her to let her walls down.
