Hmm so regarding the JR
We know that we aren’t going to actually SEE it happen since A&E have confirmed no more flashbacks unless there are some weird time travel shenanigans. I have a feeling she is going to ask him what happened to it. Personally I hope he has a geek out moment seeing his ship again so Emma is reminded just how important the JR is to him and then asks what happened to it. I have to wonder if the JR episode was just as much about showing/reminding the audience just how important the JR was to Killian as it was to give a plot reason for him to be cursed.
I heard an interesting thing on a podcast I was listening to that A&E did time travel on Lost but the concept was that you couldn’t drastically alter the past that things were going to happen anyway. I didn’t watch Lost so I don’t know if that is true but I wonder if they are going to take a similar approach?
I am trying to work my head around a few of the spoilers we have gotten. So when Snow Falls happens do we know if Marian and Robin Hood are together/have Roland at this point? I am thinking yes since Roland is like 5? and I think Snow Falls and curse are like what 2-3ish yrs apart? If someone hasn’t yet somebody way more motivated than myself should totally make one of those line graphs that lists out all of the major things that happen.
I hope we get a good sneak peek! Based on how much CS the episode is going to be it is probable that it will be a CS sneak peek!!
That is an interesting theory RGF. The first thing I thought when I saw the overhead shot was wow Emma and Killian stand out! Why is everyone wearing pale gold/white?
So I was thinking about the wedding spoiler and possible CS. I know a lot of people say that it parallels the first episode of 3B but wouldn’t it make more sense for the parallel to be Killian proposing since that is as far as Walsh got and not a wedding but this time Emma accepts? Personally as long as we get some TLKing I am going to be one happy shipper but that wet spot on Killian’s knee in the fan BTS photo was suspicious 😛 It WAS in his Mr. Darcy outfit so it would make sense that it was during the past FTL. Maybe to go in line with RGF’s theory they leave the ball “fake” married and Killian is like well I am going to do this right and he proposes. Regardless this episode is going to be amazing I am so excited!!
edit – someone on tumblr pointed out that the spot on the knee is prob from spying on Snowing in the woods since he is in that outfit. Still excited for the episode though!!
As far as I know they didn’t define who the wedding could be like they did with the death. I think we are going to get cheated with a past FTL wedding either Snowing (again) or Abigail/Charming. I do not think it is Rumbelle even though they would seem to be the most obvious of the couples…unless Belle finds out after the wedding about Zelena, which would just be awful for Rumbelle shippers IMO.
I am really confuzzled about how Blackbeard fits into all of this unless he somehow did not die when Hook made him walk the plank
The argument that bugs me right now is that Neal died to make way for CS. That I don’t get. All Emma has to do is make a choice and that is the ship that sails. If A&E want CS, Neal wasn’t going to stop that. If any story required the death of Neal, its Rumple’s and Rumbelle’s arc. It is the only way to keep Rumple interesting and hopefully breathe some life into Rumbelle as Belle will finally have to truly acknowledge Rumple’s dark side.
I agree with this. Especially after last episode it was very clear that as usual Neal was a plot device to support Rumple’s character decisions. What I found interesting about his death is that the writers seemed to have wanted to be able to have Neal repeat his father’s mistake to complete a story arc but also be able to blame Zelena for his death. I don’t think it worked out very well because I don’t really blame Zelena for Neal’s death. She gave him the gun but he was ultimately the one that pulled the trigger. Now if she would have taken Belle and threatened her life if he didn’t do it or threaten to hurt Emma/Henry then it would definitely be Zelena’s fault but then Neal would have had his hand forced and wouldn’t be following in his father’s footsteps. By blaming Zelena though they were able to martyr Neal, make Zelena look more “wicked” and give some justification to Rumple betraying Belle’s trust. The writers made their choices though and it is what it is. It is certainly not the first time that I have not liked where a part of the story has gone and I doubt it will be the last 😛 I enjoy the broader story being told though even if there wasn’t CS.
Usually I will look at chat to see what people think of the episode after the EST airing. I haven’t spoken in chat yet though. I listen to a variety of podcasts about Once and generally they have seemed to progressively become a lot more pro-Hook. The chat here is hit or miss with regards to Hook 😛
I can’t wait for this episode. This week is going soooo slow! I know we probably wont get a sneak until Thursday but I am still hoping we get lucky and get one today 🙂
Emma looks gorgeous in her red dress but if their intent was to blend in they really failed lol. How am I going to get through this week!!?!
My 2 cents regarding the TLK debate.
I kind of fall in the middle. I do not think it was TLK because Emma lost her magic. I remain firm in my belief that if it was a TLK that would have been more powerful than Zelena’s curse. I also don’t think it was TLK “breaking” Killian’s curse either because it wasn’t broken it was just completed. Assuming her magic was removed as was implied Killian’s curse did its thing.
On the other hand though if that was CPR in the words of my nurse husband “wow that was the worst CPR I have ever seen!” I thought this scene was supposed to somewhat parallel Snowing when David left the hospital and was found in the water by the Troll Bridge. If I recall correctly Snow actually did chest compressions and a more believable CPR attempt but at the end she said “come back to me” and did almost the same type of soft kiss that Emma did. In this scenario there was no magic visualized and she did do CPR prior so was it a TLK that revived him? I don’t think so because neither remembered who they were at that point in time. In the CS scenario Emma didn’t try any true CPR so it had to be something magical?
So my opinion of the whole thing is that she unconsciously used her magic (like she had in prior dire situations) to revive Killian right before the curse took her magic but it wasn’t TLK magic. That is why you see the circle of light reviving him right before the cloud of white leaving her body. Just IMO though. As usual A&E left it open enough to various interpretations.
