i think this ep Hook finally tells Emma about his year away from her.
Does fighting Blackbeard for his ship and helping Ariel really equal something big enough to hide though? I would assume there is a lot more to it but I guess part of why I am confused is because I am pretty sure I read somewhere that the mystery of the message isn’t resolved by episode 18. Perhaps he gets the message but they don’t reveal who it is from yet or Hook doesn’t even know. Since he presumably helps Ariel get Eric back she offers to help him get back to Emma since mermaids can cross realms. It is at this point that he trades his ship (which he just battled Blackbeard for) in order to get the memory potion and that is why he could only get one.

What I don’t understand is why Zelena never went to befriend/talk to Regina in the first place. When she first talked to the Wizard she said something along the lines of wanting to find a family and instead of wanting to meet her sister she *immediately* becomes jealous of her because of Rumple teaching her magic. Just strikes me as odd. The whole thing would have made more sense to me if Regina “abandoned” her as well. I don’t know Zelena just seems incredibly unhinged to me and not really justifiably so. Perhaps it is because her backstory if fairly limited compared to the other villains but I find her to be the least redeemable (aside from Pan and maybe Cora).
That said, I maybe among the few who want Emma to acknowledge her feelings without any duress, and not when Killian is in a life-threatening situation/ under a sleeping curse vis-a-vis Season 1.
I would prefer that overall as well, just seems like to me what more can the man do to fully knock down the walls? If giving up the JR doesn’t do it then I don’t know what will aside from him being hurt/in danger. I do love your idea though and it is plausible as I agree about your points about the existing curse. It has served its purpose and I am assuming like the last one, breaking it won’t return them all to EF, just give them back memories.
OMG I woke up to the news of that extra promo and Hook as a knight!!! Swoooooon. My anticipation for this episode just quadrupled and I didn’t think that was possible. I don’t really have anything to add except an additional squee 🙂
Agreed. We keep saying this stuff over & over again- sadly the message doesnt sink in- maybe A&E should be giving out character road maps lol
lol Every week they make us wait and wait for the peek… now we get it on Monday? are they seriously trying to stress us all week long? lol – I have never looked forward to any episode so much. gosh I need a new hobby – this has moved waaaaay past hobby status. haha
Haha same! I used to dread Sunday nights because it is practically Monday morning but now I rush my weekend. This is going to be an extra rushed weekend 🙂 Hubby thinks I’m crazy.
So I am assuming most (or all) of us CSers think a 2nd kiss is going to happen by end of the season. When do you guys think it will happen? My guess is 3×21.

Thanks for the positive spin because I was honestly a little bummed about some of what he said in the sneak peek. I also think that is an excellent point that Emma has not had to live without Hook or even her family for a year. She doesn’t know what it feels like to know about them and wonder how they are, what they are doing, if they are safe, etc. It is a whole different ballgame to live without someone knowing they exist. He is definitely right in telling her that if she thinks she is going to go back and things are going to be the same she is wrong because it is impossible. Ignorance is bliss and that bubble has been popped. Hook has also been practically her shadow since coming back to Storybrooke. It is very easy to get used to that and rely on that even if you don’t internally acknowledge it to yourself. Perhaps that is why Hook and Zelena are going to get into it this episode. Maybe she finds out he is hurt or in danger and it sparks that realization that he means a lot more to her than she wants to admit.
I am shocked we got a sneak so early O.o
