ParticipantOT: Just have to say OUATiW’s death scene was sheer epicness. I haven’t cried that hard in a while, as in actual tears, streaming down my face. It ranks on my top 5 death scenes.
And I do see the similarities with Will/Ana’s story compared to Swanfire’s even though Will/Ana’s break up was from selfish means. I feel there’s a lot of internal struggles between the couples just like Swanfire’s, but both couples still love each other even through the pain and hurt they caused each other.
Ana/ Neal left their partner abruptly (though Ana’s was more of selfish means)
Will/ Emma tried to find their partner even after they left them so suddenly, Emma going to Tallahassee and Will going back to the castle to confront Ana.
Both had external forces working against them to stay separated. Will/Ana with Cora and Emma/Neal with August and Tamara
Will/Emma confesses their love at the last moment. When Will got his heart back he immediately kissed Ana. Emma said “I love you” when holding onto Neal from getting sucked into the portal. Then both Ana/Neal “perished” after proclaiming their love. Though Neal survived and we’ll see about Ana in the next episode.
I think I love shipping these couples so much is because they’re more realistic. They both love each other deeply yet they’ve both argued and fought and caused pain to each other, which is normal for any couple. The thing that makes it compelling for me to watch is if they can seek forgiveness and heal past hurts and rectify wrongs. It makes for a stronger relationship if they show they can survive that.
LOL sometimes, I wish I don’t ship such angsty pairings, lord knows it hurts so much to watch, but gawd I can’t help it if I do! đ It makes it more satisfying to see them get back together, assuming both couples do get back together. That’s why I applaud couples that survive 25, or even 50 years of marriage. You can be sure that it’s not always smooth sailing during that long period, but to still love each other after that, takes guts, courage, and a lot of fortitude.

Participant*still wiping away tears* *Sniff* đ
Omg, I haven’t cried like that in a while. Best episode yet!
It could go either way, but I do hope they revive Ana. I like to think OUATiW is a little more forgiving then it’s sister show…
Time to break the laws of magic!

ParticipantAny clue what is going on with Neal on Once Upon a Time? His fans are worried! âSara Patience, dearie. Within the next few episodes, the mystery of whatâs been going on with Neal in Storybrooke will be answered.
I don’t know if this is good or bad… **Feels stomach lurching into knots…**

ParticipantTheir dream was not of a fairytale ending; their dream was just a normal, happy life. It didnât matter to Neal and Emma if they ended up in Canada or Florida, so long as they were together. They just wanted to retire the Bonnie-and-Clyde act, to get a real place, and to have a home-life together. When you listen to A&E talk on the official podcast for 2Ă6, they bring up exactly what I just mentioned, that Emma and Neal were just stealing to survive but that their real dream is what most people take for granted: real jobs, a place to hang your hat at night, and family.
^^^This!!! I think Swanfire teaches an important lesson in finding home with the person you love. Doesnât matter where, as long youâre together. Doesnât have to be some grand adventure. It can be as simple as having a job and a person you love to come home to. Itâs all about whatâs most important to you in life. Their road is long and arduous, but the fact that they held on to their love for 11 years, even through the hurt and pain, speaks volumes and why I canât see them being with anybody else but with each other. They want the same exact thing.
I love that A&E said their real dream is what most people take for granted. And I think that itâs a beautiful lesson the teach people where a lot of people nowadays DO take a lot of the simple things for granted and get caught up in unnecessary overindulgence. To throw that beautiful message away would be such a waste. *cries* đ A&E donât let me down!lunatiger
ParticipantI donât want to speculate too much based on unofficial sources or put words into actorâs mouth. I only go by the STORY shown already. As of right now, it doesnât make a lick of sense with Neal dying. A&E have had their share of crap ups over smaller plot points but overall I tend to agree with what theyâve interpret in the show. (*sigh* I wish the podcast was back. Every point they made, I totally agreed with last season) I would think that Neal would be featured more prominently before kicking the bucket to try and wrap up all the loose ends that have been built up over the course of 2 seasons.
Neal dying would also contradict what theyâve been trying to show us all season long. Second chances and Happy Endings.
Rumple -âI cast the curse to find you Bae. To make sure you had a chance at happiness. And that happiness is possible, just not with me.â
Robin â âWe all get second chancesâ
Either A&E are big hypocrites or thereâs a behind the scenes issues involving the actor. Either way I donât buy it just yet. People thought Robert was still in Scotland during the filming of 3×13 and yet he was there behind closed doors. He also could have done shots later, separate from the cast for his celler scene with Zelena. Everyone was surprised to see him in spoiler pics for 3×14 or 3×15? And automatically assume Robert just came back from holiday to shoot. I never saw any pap photos of him at the airport. So there were no hints of him shooting earlier. I can also see that being the case for MRJ. So no picture of corpse = no death for me.OT from OUAT: I also want to give an example from another show I watch, Person of Interest. Warning Iâll put it in spoilers, in case anyone doesnât watch or want to be spoiled.
Person of Interest had the best handling of the death episode ever. It totally left everyoneâs jaw dropping in a satisfying way. There are 5 main cast members. Reese, Carter, Finch, Fusco, and Shaw. Leading up to the death episode they had promos hinting a character will die and strongly implying it might be Fusco (who is thought to be a fan favorite but still expendable) Reese, Carter, and Finch were considered to be the âUntouchablesâ During the episode they also had a fake out scene where itâs implied that Fusco was fatally shot. But towards the end, we find heâs alive and saved by Shaw. Carter and Reese were on a mission to stop HR (criminal organization). They succeeded, bad guys are put away. You would think it was just a normal procedural episode with a happy ending. But then last 5 minutes of the show, Bang! Carter gets fatally shot by an HR rouge who escaped. She dies at the end, which leaves everyone mourning. Now there were three things that they did that wouldâve have been signs pointing at her death without giving away the whole shebang.
1. The last 3-4 episodes featured her story-arc heavily, stopping HR and their corruption which was her primary goal since the very beginning of the show. It was all neatly resolved by the end of the episode.
2. They actually toyed with protagonist Reese and Carter having actual feelings for one another beyond friendship by sharing a kiss on screen. Reese/Carter have been a fanon in the fandom, up until now, since theyâve shown some flirtation but never went too far besides friendly banter. To actually see them kiss was a pleasant surprise though odd⌠Also given that they were in a near death situation it was as if they were saying goodbye, and giving the audience what theyâve been longing for.
3. There was a lot of misdirection. Promos, reports, and even the actual episode itself, hinted that Fusco might be the one to kick the bucket. When they really pulled a fast one and had it be Carter. Not sure if A&E has the smarts to pull this off, but Iâd be pleasantly surprised if they do.
Back to OUAT:
So if weâre basing off a story, Iâve not see any sort of central arc focusing heavily on Neal, quite the contrary. They seem to be holding back his story. Itâs doesnât seem like any of the upcoming episodes from the title spoilers even remotely revolves around him, unless I see otherwise in upcoming episodes. It would be a waste if you have the actor contracted to film for the rest of the season and donât utilize him before heâs gone for good.
Like I said before a characters death should serve a purpose. Either gives a full conclusion to the characterâs arc. Or help propel the story and other characters. Itâs doesnât seemed likely that they can wrap up Nealâs arcâŚand we got an inkling of what his death was like the first time around. Emma was emotionally broken, and Rumple went suicidal, that not even Belle can give him a reason to live. So I donât see how in any way it would propel their characters forward. If anything it regress their characters and sucked away any development that theyâve had in the past episodes. It also doesnât propel the plot into a new territory that I can see. It was already explored in 3A

ParticipantWell it’s not over until I see it with my own eyes. Rumors/spoilers be damned. I remember my hope fading as we approached the premier 3×12, but then two days later MRJ tweeted this
[spoiler]Â
And it was right around the time they were filming 3×19 I believe. I feel like when my hope fades, something swoops in and lifts me up again.

ParticipantThanks RG and Elizabeth R! Though I do feel like they’re being more cautious this half of the season despite paps swarming them and keeping the major storyline under wraps. We still don’t know what’s really going on. Or what the WW has plan for any of the characters. Dunno if I should feel dread or excitement
