Crawls out of her corner. Hugs everyone. Hugs RG. I wish you guys a Happy Mother’s day viewing, whatever it may be (DO Rumple/EF Emma squeal!) For me I still can’t watch it live though, not after reading A&E *ahem* interviews as of late. It’s just my own personal stance on the matter. It doesn’t mean I hate everything. And I know I will be hearing about it in the next two hours.
This thread in particular is what kept me going, and I really I’m glad that it became a safe haven for us. Thanks RG for maintaining it so well. I kinda don’t want to loose it during the hiatus. Hopefully people will still pop over. I know I will.
Happy Thought:
Swanfire keychain survived, a portal jump to EF, a trip to Neverland, the dark curse to EF, then back again to Storybrooke, and then into the hands of Emma….
[adrotate group="5"]lunatigerParticipantWhat would be the perfect season 3 finale? Baelfire opening his eyes.
*screen blackens, cue credits*
Jaxter – That ending would be epic beyond biblical proportions and send shivers down my spine.
lunatigerParticipantWOW the thread jump 40+ pages since yesterday. o__O Partying without me I see?
dontstopbelievin says – “It’s okay, I won’t need it in NY.” Yes, Hook – despite winning against the WWW, and despite your appreciation, and your near-death, girl STILL does not want to get with you. You know what else Emma didn’t ask for, as a thank you for saving someone’s life? A kiss. She did it because it was the RIGHT thing, not to gain favor.
^^^^THIS RIGHT HERE. I just got around to watching 3×20 and WOW, there is just so much rejection from Emma to Hook. I can’t hardly see them growing into a budding relationship anytime soon when she repeats over and over how she’s not into Hook. Even I’m getting annoyed at the constant push from Hook and Emma constantly putting him down. (And I’m an SFer) She didn’t have nearly as much trouble with Walsh or Graham (Mind you this was POST NEAL HURT ABANDONMENT ISSUES) Even though Hook laid out all his cards and Emma is clearly aware of his feelings towards her, in the end she blurted out she’s planning to go back to NY after she wraps things up. Red flashing signs that means Hook is not even in the forefront of her mind after EVERYTHING.
Oh dontstopbelievin your mega post for epic win. You keep pulling me back to hope again when I guard my heart so much. I’ve noticed that I’ve turned into Emma with mega trust issues against A&E. Not being able to trust them again after they’re betrayal of false breadcrumbs left for Neal and SF fans. Your post makes so much sense and I try not to read it through rose-tint color glasses as an SFer but logically as in what the story shown us throughout the seasons.
And after seeing the behind the scenes pics and promo for the finale, I’m very torn. I want to see Emma in fairy-tale get up, experiencing her true origins first hand. Seeing what her parent’s life is like and how they’ve gotten so far. It’s been my dream to see Emma interacting with DO RUMPLE since season 1!!! OMG! Question is should I suffer 2 hours of CS for those little tender morsel of scenes? And hoping they mention Baelfire at least once?
What to do…..What to do?
lunatigerParticipantKeb said: And I can accept Neal’s death if it really was necessary to the story, but I still don’t see it. It still feels like it was an OOC decision to get rid of the character/actor for some reason that they haven’t come forward with. That’s why it hurts so much–even beyond the pain it’s causing for characters I love.
Did Neal’s death move the story forward? – An: No
Did it push character development? – An: No
Did it make a huge revelation? – An: Err….Nope!
But it’s got to at least made a dent in defeating the bad guy? An: Hell naw! What show have you been watching?
**Neal’s death in a nutshell…** 🙁

What are you trying to do give me a heart attack?

lunatigerParticipantI’m actually considering watching this episode fully, just for the satisfaction on hearing Emma say what I’ve been saying about Hook all along. I’m a bit surprised that the writers haven’t made Emma all moony eyed for Hook. I know this is mean but truth be told he’s been nothing but a liability since the moment of his character introduction and Emma is forever cleaning up his messes. I’m half angry that CSers are expecting Emma to hold his hand during his “redemption” after what’s he’s cost her, when she wants nothing more than a quiet simple life. I’m actually sad that the writers reduced him to such a state. He could have been a competent villain or at least a smart anti-hero but he looks more pathetic as episodes go by. I even see some CSers are starting to state that the writers should give him more to do, meaning they also see in their own small way that Hook has nothing majorly important in the grand scheme of OUAT.
Ok I’m going to try and put some sort of optimism and hope for the finale however small it is. Seems like Emma will most likely meet Rumple in DO form. (Cool!) My hope is that she says the name Baelfire for the first time ever. (I’m not even asking for much. I just wish for the small things for my ship) Because past Rumple will probably not know who the heck Neal is and Emma has to explain how she’s connected with Rumple, or at the very least mention his son to get him to do something for her, Right? See I’m trying to find some semblance of happy thoughts while sitting in Le Tent of Doom. Even though it looks like 90% of the eppy will be CS (blargh *shudders*) **Reminds herself of “New York Serenade” it’s not what it seems….Rocks back and forth**
And you know, the finale looks like it was something I’ve always dreamt of seeing since the finale of season 1. Emma in actual fairy-tale garb, interacting with fairy-tale characters that is not a dream or an EF post-apocalyptic world. It’s like the renaissances era to her before the doom and gloom and it might turn Emma’s negative opinion of her place of origin around. Too bad it’s with Hook. -_- *insert annoyed face*
I know this will probably not happen but you have a whole episode on time travel and NOT utilize it to potentially reverse Bae’s death, that’s just an outrage to me. Of all the plot devices used to revive people from the dead, this one actually had some build up and didn’t come out of left field and might actually make sense in the grand scheme of things. Baelfire = Wheel of Time. Come on now!!!! I don’t have much hope that they’ll go that route even though it makes sense in the eyes of the GA. They’ve proved time and time again that dead isn’t really dead, 3 times in this season ALONE. The only hope I have is the writers not writing Henry out of OUAT, and I don’t see how they could do that since Henry is the center of Emma’s world, with or without a love interest, unless the writers want to assassinate Emma’s character further. Nealfire will always be relevant even if it’s none other than using his DNA so that Henry can come into existence. That means that Emma still has to fall in love with him for Henry to be alive in our timeline. I guess I’m pulling whatever small speck of dust of hope I have left for this show and hope that it doesn’t turn into complete CS fanfic.
lunatigerParticipantThanks for the recap Slurpeez! I for one am glad Emma finally called Hook out on his crap. And said it straight up and out loud for the audience to hear. It just needed to be said.
Their excuse probably will be that Emma probably didn’t either love him yet or didn’t love him enough yet for the TLK thing to work and in the future when Emma does really fall for him it would work.
There’s always going to be an excuse with CSers. I’m sure after tonight’s episode they’re already starting to build a bond fire to tie Emma on.
