Yea know what? No matter which way they write it, Neal was always kept the self sacrificing character that he is, EVEN when the writers wanted to spin it into something selfish, they just ended up doing a spectacularly hack job of it and just shows how much MORE of a hero he is.
That’s the only happy thing I can find about this crap. We the audience knows what he did. And we appreciate him all the more.

Once again Neal gets no credit, reward, or even freakin appreciation for what he’s done. Rides a shadow to Neverland = character that don’t know or care to mention this to his family. Saves Henry from Pan = Henry is unconscious. Risks his life to send the message to Hook = Rumple is unconscious.
The only one who did appreciate what Neal did where the Darlings and they get shafted from the story…

The writers needed Neal dead so he could pass on the baton to Hook. That’s why Neal was brought back in the flashback to show that happening. The writers weren’t content to just use exposition to tell us Neal sent the message to Hook. They had to SHOW us in order to make it extremely clear that Neal wanted Hook to take his place in saving Emma and being a daddy figure to Henry.
*Sighs heavily and chugs down some more vodka*

After seeing the GIFs on tumblr tonight. I couldn’t help myself in reading the spoilers. The wound is opening yet again…oh how the writers love to tear my heart out and crush it over and over and over again… 🙁
So let me get this straight. Blue fairy could be revived when the shadow gets conveniently blasted by fire. Rumple could be revived since there was a magical vault that no one knew about conviently waiting for them to use. Charming gets revived after getting his heart crushes since they magically just inserted the clause that you can split a heart and all of a sudden it could be shared by two people.
But Neal CAN’T be revived at all?
I just…. UGH…. 🙁
The only consolation was that Neal is STILL being a HERO. So don’t force feed me crap about him just learning about sacrifice. He sacrificed yet again to get that memory potion to Emma. He’s always leading her home. He’s always thinking of her. He’s will always be #1 guy for Emma.

PS: How the heck did Neal survive outside his father’s body for that long????
Love is built on trust and understanding. You can’t have that if someone is blatantly lying to you all the time.
This is the prime reason why Hook is bothering me. He keeps A LOT of things from Emma. And I hate it when someone says “He has the right to, it’s his life” But not when it potentially effects Emma and everyone else in town! Like Seriously? :/
Difference is with Hook and Neal, Neal immediately comes clean about everything. He could’ve kept it a secret about him and the FBI warrant from Emma (since it really did make him look bad in Emma’s eyes) but he came clean about it and Emma helped him with a solution. He fessed up that he made mistakes when he left Emma in jail and fought over the dumb lighter with Hook. When have I seen Hook do ANY of these things? He didn’t apologize for the lighter incident, he didn’t reveal that something WAS bothering him to Emma, instead just brushed it off. He lied about helping Ariel in EF. For TL to work with CS Hook has to really do a 180. They could’ve slowly built that up but they didn’t, they just keep piling it on with Hook and all the crappy things he’s done and is still doing.

My fellow Sfers, I love you all. You still give me hope with your crack theories and Bison. I can do nothing but dissect what has happen to this show in the last few weeks. I still haven’t watched any episodes live since Quiet Minds. And I still don’t believe that they’ve taken 10+ years of “planning” this story and 2.5 years of build up to flush it down the toilet with all the convoluted plots that I’m reading on Tumblr.
I with Corbin, if CS is TL I’ll just flail into a rage. Because after all this time and what they could’ve build up, I still don’t see how suddenly Hook and Emma are suddenly TL when like someone said before, he’s keeping so many secrets from her. Bad or good it’s just shady of Hook to do that to Emma. Especially when it potentially effects Emma and her family. Knowing this show Hook’s missing year WILL come into effect on Emma and everyone else and him blatantly keeping that from Emma is just wrong. I don’t care if Emma says the past is the past with her. If she founds out the full story she will certainly be pissed.
I don’t even feel like Emma knows or understands Hook nor do I feel like Hook understands Emma. They are two that have yet to come together in a way TL couples do. I’m not talking about the little details of what’s your favorite color, but who Hook and Emma are as a person. What makes them tick, what gets their goad, what makes them laugh.
With Emma and Neal it was easy. They GOT EACH OTHER. Neal knows when Emma needs some space, and knows what makes her laugh. Knows that she’s determined, and is doesn’t let go of things quiet so easy. (which may be why he was afraid to come back to her knowing she will hate him) Emma understood Neal was a good person as a whole, (despite being a thief) which was why she just couldn’t believe he’d leave her and spent 2 years trying to find him. Albeit she was right in the end, that he was still a good person and he didn’t leave her because he wanted to he left to help push her towards her destiny. She immediately knows when Neal was upset about something and he shares what was bothering him (showing her the warrant)
With Hook, Emma just fools around with him and her magic when Hook was clearly not in the mood and she still finds it funny. She thinks he’s a man of fun and doesn’t try to delve deeper into what could be bothering him like she does with Neal. Nor does Hook really fully understands Emma’s dream of home and family as deeply or feel like it’s a goal that Emma wants to achieve. Because Hook never mentions family in his lines at all. It’s not his goal, he doesn’t share the same passion as Emma does about family.
So I still don’t get the whole CS TL angle. If that’s what they’re going for. TL couples usually have the same passions and end goals. Snowing = same optimism and hope. Rumbelle = Rumple wants to go back to the best version of himself and Belle wants to help him. OutlawQueen= Restart in a second love and second chance. CaptainSwan = ???? (Did I miss something)

X MRJ/Neal has one of the most loving hugs ever to hit the screen. Every time he envelopes someone in a hug it just feels very warm and caring as you watch. It kinda makes you feel loved as well.

I am of the opinion that it’s the only way they could think of to get another CS kiss. And if you have to come up with random PLOT to make people kiss then there are serious issues.
Oh yes, I have no doubt. Just like that have to literally kill Neal to give some sort of justification with Hook to spend time with Henry or get closer to Emma. But if you have to do that then it really doesn’t have any natural progression.

The more reasons I find the more I believe SF was the real True Love couple, no matter how A&E wants to try and change it now. They had all the makings of True Love. CS is I guess "second chances" (ouch...maybe too soon? 🙁 )
-Their necklace survived one of the most powerful dark curses
-Neal always puts Emma's needs ahead of his own.
-They loved each other despite everything for 12+ years.
-Neal sacrificed his life twice for Emma's safety
-Them being together produced the "Heart of the Truest Believer"
-Two characters that originated from EF miraculously found each other in that little yellow bug. That's got to be 0000.1% chance of that happening
Everything just screams True Love, with neon flashing signs. A&E is gonna have to pull some major epic True Love vibes that equals to the above if they want to convince CS is True Love. A lame kiss of is not gonna cut it. Especially when the other half of the party wouldn't give a crap about being kissed by the pinning pirate.
Hey guys…have any more room in the tent??? I need a place to lay low because 2 CSers just attacked me with their nonsensical “The necklace surviving the curse, doesn’t prove SF are True Love!.” *groans* -_- OK my fault for engaging a little friendly debate. But jeeze how dense can you be? That necklace must have had powerful magic attached to it to survive one of the most powerful curse ever cast. The only magic stronger then a curse? True Love. Isn’t that what the show keeps beating us over the head about? Or have I gone crazy?
I pretty much tired of all the plot contrivances. I was engaged in a discussion on the writing of the show on another thread. And most agree that it’s just degraded over the seasons. A&E tell one singular storyline or arc for the season and everything else established must be twisted to fit said PLOT. Magical black fairy wand? Whip out to fix for Plot. Body switching? Never explained and whip out in the same episode for PLOT. Magical cursed kiss? whipped out to progress PLOT!
Which brings me to my next question. What is the purpose of a cursed kiss? Until now, there has been no indication that Emma would even care to kiss Hook, unless they’re going for the Hook getting in to Emma’s personal space to kiss her scheme again like Neverland. Of all ways to trap Emma’s magical abilities, they whip out an unknown cursed kiss, (of course to further CS’s progression and probably make Emma fall for Hook in some way) but still I just found it lame and didn’t hold that much weight, since we’ve yet to see Emma reciprocating Hook’s feelings. Or have her emotionally distraught at the thought that it tears her away from Hook. Might be sad for Hook but there’s no emotional punch for Emma to even care to kiss him.
This latest magical plot device is absurd even for A&E.
