I agree with you about time. I for one am very happy Neal had that line: “This world wasn’t my first stop. I would be hundreds of years old.” That always bugged me. We saw that time flowed at the same rate in the Enchanted Forest and Earth. Now that Bae/Neal confirmed that he would have been hundreds of years old, the writers are at least consistent again.

Come on, man!
As I said, i’m also disapointed, and I’m not defending the storyline, but give it a chance: things can still fit at the end 🙂Okay Andreth, I’ll give it a shot. I’ll see it through to the end. I’ll see it through to the end because I just thought of something:
You know how we hear over and over that all magic comes with a price? Well Rumple never seems to pay a price for his magic. This whole curse was created by Rumple, who hasn’t had to pay a price that we’ve understood. So, what if THIS is his price – that his grandson (Henry) is the “boy who will be his undoing?” as prophesied by the Seer just before she died? That’s a horrible price.
“undoing” could be interpreted in several ways. It could mean death, but it could also be removing the curse of the dark one from Rumple.

Short answer: For me, fiction needs to be internally consistent. It has to have some level of plausibility within the context of the story and world it inhabits. I am an atheist which means I don’t just accept things on faith alone. And that’s what the writers gave us tonight; an episode that said, “just accept this plot turn on faith, we cannot offer any rational explanation.” I can suspend my disbelief for Fantasy and Sci-Fi stories because they can be written with plausibility and consistency within their world.
And so, Bae meeting Emma on blind luck alone is so implausible it broke my belief in the story.

How come we haven’t seen any of them (in season 2) outside if a few minutes of the Blue Fairy? One would think Grumpy would be downright Happy to look for Novi in Storybrooke. Are the actresses busy or something?

Well, it was in the same scene where Mr. Gold was helping Henry, so maybe it was a little nod to Belle having a positive influence on Gold. 😉
Wait, who’s bed was Henry laying in? Were they in Mr. Gold house? I thought they were in MMs apartment.

This is one of those things where you just have to slap yourself in the head and think “I could have done that!” But you didn’t.
malchoreParticipantBlue Fairy may be innocent after all! In S2Ep5 “The Doctor” … at the beginning of the episode (right after David slugs Whale for sleeping with Snow,) this conversation happens:
Whale: So, is it true? People are saying that you’re trying to find a portal back to your land because that’s where you think Emma and Mary Margaret are; that they’re alive.
David: Well the whispers can stop. I have no secrets from this town. That’s exactly what I’m doing.
So there actually was prior common knowledge of David attempting to find a portal.
But Ruby’s cloak is still a mystery.
malchoreParticipantThere is a matter of timing. Hook was around at the same time (within a few years) of Rumple becoming the Dark One. That was centuries ago. Regina shoved her mom into the looking glass when Snow was a pre-teen, approx 20 years ago or there-a-bouts. How ever Hook gets into Wonderland, the writers have to account for the big time gap.
A couple of ways this could go:
1) Instead of Neverland, the magic bean actually took Hook to Wonderland where Hook meets the queen of hearts, and it’s NOT Cora. A distant predecessor perhaps, but not Cora.
2) Hook actually did end up in Neverland, then left Neverland and went to Wonderland at a much later time.
3) Perhaps Jefferson happened to be traveling in Neverland, met with Hook and took him to Wonderland? Doubtful since Jefferson wasn’t mentioned in the cast list.
4) The writers pull some unexpected trickery from their hat, and throw us a curve we didn’t see coming.malchoreParticipantI don’t get why they’re trying to get them BACK to Storybrooke. You’d think they would want to RETURN to the enchanted forest. Really, if David and Henry went to EF then they would be happy.
Oh wait…they like the modern things we have in this world, like indoor plumbing and Hot Pockets® 😀
