Ya, I thought that too phyrelight. However there were three people who went through some kind of portal/wormhole: Emma, Pinocchio and Baelfyre. Emma and Pinocchio are accounted for, but Bae is not.
I don’t like the idea of Bae as Henry’s father. That’s just WAY too coincidental for me to suspend disbelief. Bae as Peter Pan…well, maybe. Bae’s back story kinda/sorta fits with the Peter Pan story.

Actually that whole “Alice in Wonderland” episode tossed me into a bizzaro world. That was a completely different realm from the Enchanted Forest (FTL.) So how did Regina’s curse extend into a different realm? AND pull in exactly one person from that realm? That’s one of about a dozen outstanding brain twisters from season 1 waiting for an explanation.
malchoreParticipantThey could have been “trapped” in time, similar to what happened in storybrooke. Not able to effect anything. It’s not clear if their memories were altered or what. It’s also not clear how that little part of FTL was saved. (My two theories – Regina intentionally saved that portion when enacting her curse, just in case she needed to return. OR – that is what the fairies did when “preparing” for the curse.)
Anyways yes, you’re correct. Aurora was sleeping for 28 years, plus the time after Emma arrived in Storybrook and got time moving forward again. (How long was Emma in Storybrooke? Months maybe?)
There is a lot in this episode; I’ll have to re-watch it over and over again and ponder what happened.
malchoreParticipantYah, I know. That’s what I meant – The library without the clock tower (because it’s CGI) is…odd.
malchoreParticipantThe Storybrooke Library is at:
Nikka Fishing and Marine
3551 Moncton Street
Richmond, British Columbia, CanadaWhen you look at it with street view on google maps it’s striking the absense of the clock tower 😯
malchoreParticipantBut in season 2, why would the clock be stopped? Just because we saw it covered in purple smoke doesn’t mean it’ll be stopped. I think in the opening scene of S2E1 we’ll see the clock move to 8:16.
malchoreParticipantThat’s cool. Wish I had a website to post it to.
malchoreParticipantTwo of those newspapers contain continuity errors. The first is the one that is reporting a “local boy” finding a baby by the side of the road. The boy (who we now know was Pinocchio) was reported as, “A local boy…” Well that doesn’t make sense because the boy was not known to anyone in the community. He was himself and orphan. So who would consider him “local”?
Another goof is the byline that reads “Storybrooke Elementary Girl is Crowned New Champion at Regional Spelling Bee.” Okay, well people from Storybrooke can’t leave town. And strangers never come into town. So….where did this “regional” spelling bee take place? ❓
malchoreParticipantYeah, I saw that in the original broadcast. I chuckled a little bit. I just thought, “That Regina’s a real rhymes-with-witch!”
I said it before, but you know how some girls are attracted to bad guys? Maybe Sydney is attracted to bad ladies. 😆
malchoreParticipantI noticed that most of the men in this thread (including me now) were disappointed with this episode. We felt it was rushed and much of it just plain out of character with what we saw all season long. And a lot of the women viewers loved it. I’m not trying to be intentionally sexist, just pointing out an observation.
I happen to be fascinated with gender dynamics so maybe I’m more attuned to it. Or maybe I’m seeing things. ❓
