I sooo adore Alice and Wonderland. It has always been my favorite tale.
How about the Queen of Hearts being Regina’s older sister? Regina would never be able to be a queen because her older sister would inherit the title first. Regina would have to be married into a different kingdom / regime.
Just a thought.
And that’s exactly the story you’re going to see next week in the episode Stable Boy! (Minus Regina having an older sister.)

I’m not ruling out Regina’s mum being QoH yet. Yes, I know they had a different actress to play her, but if they were trying to keep her identity secret, which they did by having her face covered and her voice muffled, then they’d hardly hire Barbara for that ep and have her name in the credits. So until proven otherwise, I’m sticking with my conspiracy theory. 😛
And that’s exactly why I’m not ruling out the possiblity that the QoH might be Cora as well. But I think it’s only 1% likely. I also found it suspicious they went to great lengths to hide the identity of the QoH. The show never did that before. And therefore I keep open the possiblity Cora will end up being the real QoH. Plus, the QoH has a heart vault, and Regina has a heart vault.
I don’t know. I don’t like it because it’s too much like Star Wars, where most of the main characters are related in some way. Darth Vader was Luke and Leigha’s father. Anakin built C3PO. Ben Kenobi was the mentor to both Vader and Luke etc etc.

I do believe Jefferson’s wife got stuck in Wonderland, and that’s why Jefferson was so reluctant to go back.
But then why didn’t he show any sign of wanting to go look for her if she was just trapped there? Or if she died there, why wasn’t he more torn over going back to the place he lost her?
Good question. Were we ever given a hint for how long his wife was “gone”? Was it years? Or weeks? If it was years, then maybe he did go back years ago but couldn’t find her. The conversation between Jefferson and the EQ hinted that Jefferson had a past when he wasn’t so poor (in FTL.) Also, I noticed a lot of comments that claim Jefferson was some kind of Magician or Sorcerror or something. Where did that come from? Just because he had a magic hat…so what? His comment to Regina: “…not my rules, the Hat’s rules” suggested to me he didn’t create the hat.

To me, his line about hating Wonderland was more of an exasperated, “I hate having to deal with the annoying creatures in this ridiculous place,” as opposed to a dislike for a place where he suffered a traumatic event like losing his wife.
I agree completely. I also had the same notion. I didn’t suggest his wife died, just that she got lost or stuck in Wonderland years ago, and therefore Jefferson was hesitant about going back.
malchoreParticipantI’m the keeper of “KISS MY BOOT” because I’m always requesting it during the podcasts. 🙂
malchoreParticipantI’m sorta wondering…now that we’ve seen the Queen of Hearts, the phrase “evil queen” is ambiguous. 😆
malchoreParticipantThe Queen of Hearts is not Regina, nor is it Regina’s mother. It might be Jefferson’s wife, but that’s a stretch since there was zero reaction from her when she whispered “…off with his head” (when Jefferson was standing before her.)
I do believe Jefferson’s wife got stuck in Wonderland, and that’s why Jefferson was so reluctant to go back.
I’m really liking what Crabtrem is saying. (The heart vaults are all the same between the worlds.)
malchoreParticipantWell, it was only a few days time between stealing her father’s heart, and evoking the curse. We have nothing to verify the timing of all this. Other than the fact that a few days is not much time for the mad hatter to go mad. To me it seems like it would be at least a year or more, before the mad hatter had gone mad.
As for the Queen of Hearts knowing Regina needed her father’s heart to complete the curse? Well, even Regina didn’t know she needed his heart, so how could the Queen of Hearts know? Also, Wonderland and FTL are different worlds. It’s not like you just visit the next town over to spy on an enemy. There are only so many portals from one world to the next – The Hat was one such portal. Alice tumbling down the rabbit hole was another. And those are the only two we know of, I think. I never read Alice in Wonderland (the book) so I’m speaking from ignorance here.
malchoreParticipantHello and welcome aboard! 🙂
You’ve found the right place for crazy theories. I have had plenty myself. Oh, by the way, August W. Booth (a.k.a. The Stranger) is realy Peter Pan. There are a lot of people around here who think he’s Pinnoccio (or however it’s spelled) but don’t believe them. 😆
malchoreParticipantYeah, we knew that. In fact the night the episode aired, Jane Espenson (who wrote that episode) acknowledged via Twitter that the nurse was intended to resemble Nurse Rachted. It’s mentioned several times in the Episode forum (for Skin Deep.)
