I was thinking today about the hate A and E are going to receive from SF fans when the TLK or I love you’s happen. That’s also why I don’t think anything will be happening between them on 3×17; its way too soon after Neal’s death (not way too soon for me and other CSers I’m sure, but Adam had better get his snarky “Thanks for watching!” fingers ready to go)
I got a question for you guys, what do you think of the likelihood that we might get an I love you from Emma or True Love’s kiss next episode?
Honestly? I think there’s a good likelihood we might get one or the other! I know popular thought is that it’ll happen closer to the end of the season, but I think if it’s not True Love’s Kiss or an I Love You, then something will happen that’s pretty huge. I mean, seriously, look at that body language in the sneak peek. Especially Emma’s. Hands in her back pockets, hips all outta control…girl is sending some serious signals there. And that’s in addition to the fact that she’s there asking Hook to watch over her son. We got that in a sneak peek! [/quote]

One line here really got me; that he was there when Cora tried to steal her heart. I thought he was knocked out during all that.
I picked that up too- I just thought maybe he had started to come too about then & saw it.
It just occurred to me! He purposefully lost that fight to help her and Mary Margaret get away from Cora and escape back to Storybrooke. He never intended to keep Emma away from her son. He was just “playing possum”!

If I didn’t believe it before, I certainly do now. I love the fact that he knew about her abilities all along and didn’t give her a hard time over it (ahem, Neal), he just accepted that it was part of her, full stop.
Hook in armour SQUEEEeeeeeeeeeee! Okay we’re just getting spoiled now. Isn’t this epis writer the same one who did the dvd commentary with Colin for 2×22? He’ s a huge Hook fan so I expect this to be a character defining episode for Hook.
@surayya thanks for posting the hilarious recap. Even with the heavy SQ content she’s right on the moneyDesperation? ha ha don’t think so. They did the same thing for Good Form, releasing the pic of Hook and Emma days before the sneak peek aired and they got great numbers after the show aired. They want the buzz going because viewers love Hook. Maybe not on this site, but look elsewhere and you’ll know its true.

I think what Hook means in the promo is that he has literally become a different person because of Emma. He CAN’T even go back to LIVING like a pirate because he ISN’T a pirate anymore. So it would not have been possible for him to remain true to his word to think about Emma every day while living like a pirate – he might have thought he could. He might have thought he could get his ship back, go out to sea with his crew, and drink rum while he thought about her but at the end of the day he stopped being that person when he became part of Emma’s SB “family.” I think Hook very much understands that Emma is his home – and not just Emma but her entire family. I was thinking about how Emma has really never had to live WITHOUT Hook – her memory loss spared her from that which is why I think we are a bit sensitive to the way she sometimes talks to him when we are VERY aware that he knows what it is like to have to live without her for a year. I’m sure he had hoped he could do exactly what he did do numb the pain when he lost Milah – except he realized he isn’t that person anymore so he COULDN’T find a way to drown the pain. He simply had to LIVE with it – for a YEAR. Now it’s a year later and he knows what he has had to live without for a year – not JUST Emma, but Henry, Snow, Charming – then he loses Neal after coming to understand what home and family really means to him and where his home really is. I think he is doing a really good job of pushing Emma when she needs to be pushed but remembering who she is because she HASN’T had the same year to recognize what she had to live without. I really had to think about this today because I wanted to rip Emma’s head off last night after the “leather conditioner and eyeliner” comment. But I have the feeling we are being baited by A and E on purpose. I have the feeling Hook is going to be the thing that is going to pull together EVERYTHING that defines home for Emma. And I think when it happens it is going to hit her hard and she is going to realize that she didn’t appreciate him for everything he is and does for her. He is her rock but she doesn’t realize it. If something happens to that rock or it is threatened in a major way I think she is going to suddenly panic and be forced to recognize that she has loved him all along and hasn’t necessarily treated him very well. Like in a gross sobbing, almost lost Henry kind of way that might just require TLK.
