As a mom to a 12 year old boy who has a second husband who stepped in to the “father” role in my son’s life since his bio dad is not in his life, I can’t wait for the upcoming CaptainCobra scenes. And I can confirm from a real life perspective that those scenes will NOT be about CS but will be about a man stepping up to fill a role that is desparately needed in a young man’s life. A man CANNOT fake interest in a child in order to score points with mom – it is obvious, trust me. And I am just talking from a situation where a child has been abandoned by his bio father not one in which there has been a death and the man stepping in to fill the role of the father loved the missing dad as well. Henry is going to be one very lucky kid in terms of what he is going to get from Hook. Hook wanted to be a father to Bae and regretted that he was never able to do so/made a huge mistake with him. How much more of an effort do you think he is going to put forth in fathering Henry for that reasom ALONE?? Than add in the fact that he will want to do it to honor Bae’s memory AND he will want to it because he loves Emma and Henry is a part of Emma, plus he doesn’t want to make the same mistake he made with Milah again – only loving the woman and not insisting on taking the entire package even if SHE didn’t want to. That man is going to be the most dedicated father figure any one has ever seen – and he is going to make darn sure Henry knows all about Neal – with or without his memories. CS has NOTHING to do with this relationship which is what makes it so beautiful to me.!!
Hook’s never really had to be responsible for anyone but himself for a long time (notwithstanding his crew who he lost in NL). Just the fact that he’s stepping up and doing the right thing says a lot about his true character.

Since we know Hook and Henry are going to have a scene together (I think it’s next episode), I bet Henry is going to ask Hook about Neal, what he was like, etc
I hope Hook kept some of Bae’s things from the time they spent together to give to Henry. The cutlass from NL, the robe from London or even some drawings that Milah made. I don’t want Neal to be forgotten.

Good morning everyone. Hope everyone survived the aftermath that was last nights episode. I watched the 7pm airing and really liked the episode. Tried to avoid the chat after that though. We knew the death was coming and I’m glad Neal got the chance to die a hero, but I thought the whole thing was too rushed. I can certainly understand why SF shippers are upset, I would be too. The writers had three previous episodes to build up to this. There;s going to be some bad blood for a while. Give everyone a chance to mourn.
Enjoyed the CaptainFire scene even though it felt like they were just tying up loose ends. Hook with Belle was hilarious. Belle has such a big heart and can forgive anything, but I’m happy that she called him out on what he did to her. Poor boy doesn’t know how to apologize with any grace. Emma and Neal chatting in the woods was fantastic. Emma baby had a genuine smile going on! They left off in a good place emotionally. Regina and Robin were just so hot together. Really looking forward to more of that.
That Wicked Witch need to die a miserable death after this. Bring it, greenie!
So it could be a tradional CS flirty banter about engagement/marriage (which would make sense if they are at a Rumbelle wedding) but with obviously more serious undertones so they both understand that they are REALLY not joking about it. Then they can kiss. That way they end the season with Hook
I already have that conversation between Hook and Emma going on in my head. Basically, its him telling her what he yearns for, the things that have been all too absent in his life, ie a family, love, a place to call home, maybe children and someone to grow old with etc etc . And Emma giving him a soft smile in return because that’s what she wants too.

I personally can’t see anyone on this CS thread being mean. I think you’re all nice, decent people. All I can say is turn the other cheek if necessary and avoid the chat if things look like they’re starting to turn.
