Does anyone even realize the significance of the literary choices these writers choose to include? Just going by LOST, and the influence the novels that were depicted during the entire run of that show, should give ppl some idea. OUAT may seem like a show about Fairy Tales….well, that’s like saying LOST was a show about a plane crash
once again Gypsy you speak the truth.
If LOST was about letting go, could Once Upon a Time be about holding on?

urgh! I really hope Emma is nothing like Kate Austin, I could not stand that character. making one poor decision after the other blaming the entire world for her misfortune. Kate’s “i’m the world’s biggest victim” skit got old really fast.September 23, 2012 at 3:20 pm in reply to: 2007?? What is the basis of this and is it still true? #154411marilouParticipantdidn’t Emma said she gave birth to henry in prison? if so she could not have given birth to him at 17… minors don’t go to prison (unless you know… murder)
marilouParticipantsomewhere K&H said that the story of the little mermaid would eventually happened but that for the moment, it was being pushed back because there is already too much ground to cover and since the reveal is in episode 5, I don’t think it’s gonna happen.

-“The Doctor” – In a way, I will feel sort of cheated if Dr. Whale does turn out to be Frankenstein only because David Anders said that it would be something that no one has guessed, when Frankenstein is a really popular guess out there. I know he can’t say that someone already guessed it because it would give it away, but I wish he hadn’t said that no one guessed it. Plus, I like the Puss in Boots/Cheshire Cat theory better now because those are real magical characters whereas Dr. Frankenstein never had any magical powers.
When David Anders said That, Frankenstein was not a very popular guess at all.

That’s so cool that it’s a Lost reference, which I wouldn’t have known otherwise. What exactly happened in Tallahassee on that show?
It has been so long…
LOSTIES if I’m wrong or confusing cities, please correct me! I don’t wanna be feeding false information to anyone.
Mainly, I think this is where John Locke gets conned out of a kidney by his own father, then pushed out of a window… from the 8th floor of a building (also his father’s doing) leading to john to be in a wheelchair for the rest of his life.
Kate Austin, was trying to get to Tallahassee when she finally got captured.
The interesting thing however is that the LOST episode “The Man From Tallahassee” happens in season 3 and the question it answered was one we had been asking since day 1 (how the heel did john became handicapped?)
So, Tallahassee, is a place mostly of hurt and pain but also a place for answer for the public.

True, but the nurse and the janitor or whoever he was probably won’t be seen again. They were a nice little nod to the book, but they weren’t important characters, any other character could have filled in for them.
I really hope that you are wrong about that. Chief, I don’t really care for. But that… Bizarre nurse + the strange exchange that happened between her and Regina. I’m not saying she should become an important or anything like that but I kinda wanna know a bit more about her.

The fact that it’s a Lost reference is the only reason it stuck in my head when Regina said it. 😉 I’d figured it was just a little Lost reference that wouldn’t necessarily be addressed again. Guess I was wrong in that assumption.
a scene in a bar where Emma is being… well, being herself. With, somewhere in the background, a tiny and barely noticeable piss drunk Sawyer

You’d think that if there was any guy who was destined to be with Red, the wizard who made the cloak that protects her would be that guy. I never really got the sense that poor Peter was her TRUE love, they were just a young couple who had a brief relationship.
… That ended horribly wrong 😆
I hope in the course of the show that we get one character who is his own happy ending.
