ModeratorJMOs voice is fantastic! I’m actually shocked at beautiful and magical it sounds (even taking in some digital help, id assume)
I don’t think I’ve noticed any auto-tuning so far from any of the song snippets we’ve heard.

ModeratorThe song Emma is singing is adapted from one of Mark Isham’s themes, the very one that you hear in the end credits:

So I guess this is somehow addressed?
MatthewPaul
ModeratorWait, so not only did Snow and Charming meet Captain Hook in past EF, but Snow was pregnant with Emma at the time?! What the heck?! And why didn’t Snow recognize Hook when he lied about being a blacksmith in S2? Let me guess: memory potion!
Technically Snow and Hook did meet before during the altered timeline in “Snow Drifts”, but Hook’s face was hidden in the shadows, which explained why Snow wouldn’t recognize him when they later met in Season 2. This scene in the musical episode, though, is either going to be explained via memory potion or it will be a large oversight that goes unexplained. What’s so hard about doing flashbacks that aren’t confusing or retconish? The writers make things more difficult than they need to be.

ModeratorSimply said: We learn in flashbacks that Snow White, when pregnant with Emma, inadvertently cast a spell that makes highly emotional people only able to express themselves through song. That allows for musical numbers both in the Enchanted Forest of yesteryear as well in present-day Storybrooke, when the spell resurfaces.
*bangs head slowly on desk*
I’m going to make a prediction:
Snow receives a magical music box as one of her wedding presents, and that’s what causes people to randomly sing. The music box resurfaces in Storybrooke, causing it to happen again. Because of course the source of the singing would be a magical object of the week!

ModeratorI get the impression that Lana will be talk-singing, which would probably fit Regina’s character.

Moderatoremilie doesn't sing in the musical because someone in her life used to always tell her she couldn't sing so she still doesn't like to #SBUK3

Sounds like it was Emilie’s choice.
