ModeratorI’m still going with adult Henry. Look at him:

By the way, for those of us who watched Dead of Summer, Andrew J. West played Damon on that show:

ModeratorYup, this was my biggest issue with the episode overall. Was hoping someone on here had an explanation. Bc to me, that might be the biggest retcon I’ve ever seen. And I’m usually one to let many slip…but I mean come on, the wardrobe is like one of the most vital things in OUAT. It jump-started the show. To just say that it can now bring 3 people back is ridiculous.
I recall in the episode “The Stranger”, Blue mentioned that the magic inside that particular tree only had enough power to transport 2 people. That didn’t necessarily mean that was the same for every tree, because some tress could have more magic in them than others. That could especially be true, if more enchanted tress were able to grow during the course of 30 years.

ModeratorOh totally. Just at last check (which may not be canon anymore??) was that he was in the caves, right before everyone went to NVL.
George being chained down in the mines was only seen in a deleted scene. Not only that, but it was among the deleted scenes that were only available via a bonus disc exclusive to Best Buy’s release of Season 2, so most people who own Season 2 on DVD or Blu-Ray don’t even have it. So yeah it isn’t canon anymore, unless it’s directly referenced in this episode.

ModeratorSame as I’ve asked with h A&E is it possible whether or not the creators know by know if the show will get a second season or is it too early to tell?
Because that ending is obviously a set up to a second season. If they knew before hand I’m sure they would not have included it if it was to be cancelled
Pretty sure all of the Season had already been shot months before it premiered, and before NBC saw the ratings. Plenty of shows end on a cliffhanger in their first Season, and still get cancelled. It’s annoying, but not uncommon.

ModeratorEven if OUAT does end soon, that doesn’t necessarily mean the franchise as a whole is dead
It’s also worth pointing out that no franchise ever really ends. Fan fic, fan art, cons, ect continue even when the show is done.
That too. I most certainly think that OUAT will continue to have a cult following regardless of whatever happens. Though my point was that canon material for the show won’t necessarily die either, if Disney still sees some profitability in it. I have to wonder how much they’re making off of the Once Upon a Time conventions, since they officially partnered up with Creation Entertainment to do them. They started a year ago already, and have continued to this day with several more occurring throughout the year.

ModeratorHere’s some food for thought. Even if OUAT does end soon, that doesn’t necessarily mean the franchise as a whole is dead. More stories could be told in either novel or comic book form. There’s even a new novel about Regina coming out later this year. Perhaps various dropped storylines could be answered within that manner, like how the comic “Out of the Past” included Jefferson’s backstory with his wife, which was teased back in Season 1. Plenty of genre shows have gone that route since ending their respect TV runs, and I think OUAT has that potential. Especially since books are much cheaper to produce, and aren’t at the mercy of filming schedules with actor availability.
