ModeratorThis is the first time in a while that there’s been an official OUAT panel during the 2nd half of the Season. They appeared at Paleyfest in 2012 and 2013, and Wondercon in 2014. I wonder what sort of news we’ll be receiving? Maybe they’re saving an official statement on the musical episode for then? Maybe they’ll be revealing whether the show has been renewed or nto?
A Q-and-A session with select cast and crew will follow the screening.
So I guess they’re screening 611, and it’ll be an entire month before it airs.

ModeratorFor those of us really interested in ratings across the whole ABC board: a reminder that Quantico–a show @matthewpaul and I both have pegged as cancelled–begins tonight on its new night. The ratings should prove interesting; it’s an attempt to save it, but it’s going into a spot that isn’t going to really help it any if past precedent means anything. The Winter Finale got a .7 in the demo.
Yeah, Quantico is a serialized drama that has gradually declined in viewership. I don’t expect a miraculously improvement just because it has the Bachelor as its lead-in. ABC does seem to really love the show and it’s clear that this is a desperation move to try to save it. Maybe this move would have worked had they done so this past Fall, but I’d say it’s too little too late.

ModeratorKat, a reliable source from on set, says that this really is happening. Seems like she had heard from a crew member:
Another reason it would make sense to do one now rather than wait for a potential Season 7 is due to the recent speculation that major cast members will be leaving by the end of the Season once their contracts are up.

ModeratorSome Big Bad comes to town and curses them all to burst into song? Yeah, they’re already getting hammered with Buffy plagiarism criticisms. Let’s not add fuel to the fire.
I’ve recently theorized that if OUAT ever did do a musical episode, then they would incorporate the Phantom of the Opera. He would possibly fill in a similar role, with the ability to make people sing.
This clearly feels like a ratings stunt. I wonder if news of the Flash/Supergirl musical episode also convinced them to finally do one?

ModeratorAccording to TVLine, Tiger Lily will be in both 617 and 618:

ModeratorLooks like she’s indeed Tiger Lily, and isn’t a red herring for Pocahontas or Moana.
