I think the golden scarab was mostly just a nod to the golden scarab from the Disney film, the one that Jafar uses to reveal the Cave of Wonders.

So what I’m getting from this is that it’s another dropped storyline – for now. Just like Lily’s father, Will / Ana, Mulan and the Merry Men, etc.
I think it’s more like the search for the Author storyline from Season 4. It started in 4A, but the meat of it was really in 4B. Charming is one of the mains, so I expect we’ll actually get this.
Seems like we may have to wait until the 2nd half of the Season to find out what happened to Charming’s father. That would explain why there’s been nothing about the casting of that role yet.
Was the World Series still going at 10pm though? I don’t follow sports (and being in a different country I don’t have a clue) but according to all the ratings tables I’ve seen, the World Series wasn’t a competition in the 10pm slot.

Something that also isn’t in Designated Survivor’s favor is that it took off last week for the Presidential debate, and it’s taking next week off as well for the CMA Awards. On and off scheduling like that does no drama shows any favors.
I will say I’ll be glad if the truth about the shears is revealed to Emma by the end of this episode, instead of being dragged out for several.

So looks like the hooded figure is Morpheus. No clue how this is gonna make any sense.

They said that one of the scenes was Evil Queen, the two dwarves, and the hooded figure. Her and the other fans on the Periscope kept saying they knew who it was, but refused to tell. But based on Kat’s filming recap, Giles filmed in the scene with Evil Queen and the dwarves. That on top of the other linked Tumblr post are enough evidence.
