Now the schedule grids on ABC’s own press site are listing it as “Diamond in the Rough”:

Oh Jeremy will love that. So are we to assume that we basically have a world for every century in every nation? Stories were always being written or told so there must be a world for every time period and place.

I’m guessing 19th Century France is also the original home of the Three Musketeers. They were even written by the same author, Alexandre Dumas. Perhaps also the Phantom of the Opera?

Here’s something strange. Both FutonCritic and Zap2It are listing the episode by it’s original leaked title, “Diamond in the Rough”:

    http://tvschedule.zap2it.com/tv/once-upon-a-time-diamond-in-the-rough/EP014194780129?aid=tvschedule

Futon and Zap2It get their schedule info directly from ABC. So did ABC make a mistake, or did they decide to go back to the original episode title? I personally prefer “Diamond in the Rough”, so I honestly wouldn’t mind if they did. Still seems like Adam and Eddy only changed the title in the first place because of the leak. It’s going to be amusing if even the press release uses “Diamond in the Rough”.

Looks like he’s from a world called Fictional 19th Century France:

I love the Evil Queen's french flourish. I want to see more of her adventures in Fictional 19th Century France

As for how Regina got there, she should theoretically have possession of Jefferson’s hat by that point, so that’s a possibility.

Are those the step sisters? Neither of them are named Anastasia so maybe there’s #hope that Ana is the third step sister?? I know I know, I’m clinging to hope here. Also, what odd names! I thought they were Anastasia and Drusilla

This makes me think that the writers at least remember the Anastasia/Cinderella connection that was teased back in Wonderland, so maybe there is some twist. Cause why keep the name Lady Tremaine, but not the names Anastasia and Drizella for the step-sisters? The thing is, a few fans have pointed out that Anastasia being her step-sister doesn’t make sense timeline wise for a few reasons, so maybe Cinderella had one or two other step-sisters and they’re no longer around by this point? However, Anastasia’s mother and Lady Tremaine are two different actresses, but that could also amount to a recasting decision. Something else to consider is that Anastasia’s mother said that Anastasia had “sisters”, and I doubt she would have included Cinderella among them. Though, it would be even weirder if this actually did amount to them caring about timeline consistency, because how often does that happen?

    Really?!

    How surprising

Looks like we’re going to see Gus-Gus as a mouse for the first time ever.

Dark Hook said something back in “Broken Heart” that ties in with the theory here about the villain being Emma’s non-savior self:

Hook: Well, you see, that’s your problem, Swan. You’re so afraid of losing the people that you love that you push them away. And that’s why you’ll always be an orphan. You don’t need some villain swooping in to destroy your happiness. You do that quite well all on your own.

Now while this was a terrible thing to say to her, there could still be some harsh truthness to it. Emma’s own villain could very well be herself.

This is a typical Oedipus scenario. Trying to prevent your future will lead to it happening. Just like we saw with Rumple. A classic case of a self-fulfilling prophecy

Also, okay so neither of those sisters are Anastasia. Uhhh….

As the White Rabbit once said, “Who’s Anastasia?”

I am totally prepared for them to blatantly ignore all of the hints that Anastasia was Cinderella’s step-sister that we got in Wonderland. They’ll act like that was never the plan to begin with, and were just coincidences. I hope I’m wrong somehow, but already seeing two stepsisters that look nothing like Anastasia isn’t a good sign.
