How random, if she really is back.

ModeratorA random, but humorous thought came to mind. Since we see the Count of Monte Cristo at Granny’s, I wonder if they’ll make some sort of joke about Monte Cristo sandwiches? lol!

ModeratorI still think that really was their son. I just can’t see there being some random plot twist that it was all a lie.

ModeratorSeems like the Musketeers might have a speaking role in this episode, which is odd since the PR left them out. PRs can leave some guest stars/co-stars out, though. Perhaps they have some sort of relationship with the Count? Both of their stories were written by the same author, Alexandre Dumas, after all.

ModeratorMaybe Jafar’s bottle got transported to the Land of Untold Stories after WL. But the problem is if the Jafar/Aladdin story is after WL, how did Jafar get out of the Land of Untold Stories?
Seems like an easy answer. Hyde brought him, when he brought over the rest of the Land of Untold Stories’ residents to Storybrooke. If you’re referring to the Jafar/Aladdin flashback, that was established to take place “many years ago”. So probably after Jafar turned Amara into the snake staff, but before he went to Wonderland. There is plenty of room for gaps in his story. We don’t know how soon he tracked down Cyrus’ owner in Agrabah, nor do we know how soon he found out Cyrus was sent to Wonderland. Not to mention, we don’t even know if Jafar traveled back and forth between the two worlds.

ModeratorI just re watched that scene and I came to the same conclusion. I thought this must be Belle’s interpretation of everything and she has dreamed up this son who thinks that Rumple will destroy this family like he did the last one. So, that would make this scene all about Belle’s insecurities and fears of the future. Here is the problem with that, how did she get TLK then? If this is all Belle’s dream and the son is a manifestation of that dream he should not been able to wake her up because he is not real. The whole scene is very problematic and full of holes.
Morpheus clearly says that when Rumple used the sands on Belle, that it was used on him too, and that it was also his dream world. That really was their son, and the TLK waking up Belle was proof.
I think the reason why the writers didn’t want Rumple to administer TLK to wake up Belle was because a successful TLK would mean Rumple losing his Dark One powers, which they clearly don’t want happening anytime soon.

ModeratorI think they will at least refer to the fact that Jafar was turned into a genie and trapped in a bottle. Perhaps Hyde or somebody else found his bottle? Hyde being the one to release him would make sense, if he intentionally led Emma to the Oracle knowing that she was really Jafar.

ModeratorWell I don’t think that’s very fair. You could say that about any character dying on this show now then. But they have proven that dead can in fact be dead when they want it to be. Example, Robin Hood. They obliterated him. With Emma, they could make something up like Saviors can’t be brought back once they have served their purpose or something. If you are at the point of thinking that if Emma died, then so what…well I’m not sure why you still enjoy watching the show. That would certainly ruin it for me.
How many of us actually believe that they’ll permanently kill off Emma, though? The main character of the show? I just find that very hard to believe. I do think that she COULD die, in a sacrificial saviorish fashion, but saviors in media are also more often than not resurrected.
