[adrotate group="5"]The biggest factor to consider is how getting rid of the Split-Seasons will effect this Season. A big criticism with the Split-Seasons was that the pacing was rapid-fire to cram everything into 11-12 episodes. That didn’t allow enough room to breath, and potential plot and character developments were neglected. Maybe there won’t be as many plotholes, and even more quiet character moments that we miss from the earlier Seasons. It should be noted that while Season 1 is still commonly heralded as the best Season by the majority of fans, Season 2’s reception was a lot more divided. There were fans who thought Season 2 was almost or just as good as Season 1, while there were a ton who thought that Season 2 was a huge disappointment. Nonetheless, that was where the show faced its first notable decline in popularity and viewership, and the trend continued with each following Season. Season 4A was the exception thanks to the Frozen hype. Only time will tell how Season 6 fares.

Updated the top post to include both promos. Seems like the Evil Queen and Zelena may be teaming up, as speculated. Though, what does Zelena get out of it? Perhaps things aren’t quite as they appear, and there’s something else going on.

Oh, i donāt think anything can cause a lasting wedge between the characters at this point.
Regina has tried to murder everyone in Snowās family on multiple occasions, did murder Snowās father, her mother murdered Snowās mother, Snow murdered her mother, and Henry almost died from eating the poisoned turnover. Regina is still part of the family.
Hook has tried to shoot Belle, stab her with a Hook, has stabbed Rumpel with a Hook. He and Belle are friends now.
Hook has tried to kill Emma, tried to separate her and Snow from their families forever, and tried to murder the entire family just last season. They are dating.
Zelena kidnapped Rumpel, murdered Bae, raped Robin. She is part of the family.
If Hook killed Charmingās dad, it might cause a tiff, but nothing long lasting. Not based on how much people hang out and date their would be murderers on this show. It is just a theory though. It could be some happy connection instead.
Regina also killed Marian in the original timeline, and yet she and Robin were not only together, but destined to be soulmates. They danced around whether Robin ever knew of that or not. By making Zelena alter the timeline by killing Marian instead of Regina, that was of course retconned, but it doesn’t mean that it wasn’t once a reality.
Still, having Hook be the killer of Charming’s father seems too extreme even for them. How would they even whitewash that? That Hook isn’t “the same man” as he once was? Was it even ever confirmed that Hook was related to Charming’s secret past, or has that all been just fan speculation? Also, I get the suspicion that this mystery will be explored in “A Bitter Draught”, the Snow/Charming centric with the Count of Monte Cristo. Hook’s centric is in “Dark Waters” with Captain Nemo, and I can’t really see how those two flashbacks would crossover.

Yeah, I think youāre right @wickedregal, especially with COāDās not-so-cryptic tweet of āHeās backā¦.too!!! Heeheeā Itās the too that really caught my attention, as if Regina werenāt the only one who splits herself in two. Itās totally what the writers would do. Not only are there two Reginas now, but there are also going to be two Hooks. It also goes along with what Adam was hinting at when he said Hook would be striving to show Emma that heās a hero now. Itās like last year when it seemed like season five was going to be about the Dark Swan when really, no, it became all about Hook being a second dark one. I totally see the writers not being able to help themselves; of course, theyāre going to find a way to make an arc about Regina instead be all about Hook (again). *sigh*
Except I imagine the Evil Queen will still be the main antagonist in this storyarc, while Dark Hook would only be secondary. Also, it’s been a long term theory of mine that the other current anti-heroes would be split. I don’t think Regina and Hook will be the only ones. I still see Zelena being split, too.
