I am not as familiar with how ratings should be to be successful on networks like Freeform.  Are DOS’s ratings still really bad, even for Freeform?
It’s been getting 0.2’s in the 18-49 demo, so it’s not doing great. However, the rest of the network isn’t doing that well either, so I guess there is still a chance of a renewal. Cable is a very different ballgame compared to traditional broadcast.
Maybe it will be a Hot Topic-exclusive variant.
Kind of disappointed there’s still no Neal.
Also no Henry or Robin.
Oh he’ll love that.  Maybe this squid is the source of all the magic squid ink?????!!!
Another theory that randomly popped in my head is what if OUAT’s giant squid in 20,000 Leagues ended up being Ursula? It could be a way to get her back on the show. Not to mention, if this is a Hook centric, it would make sense if Ursula had tried getting revenge on him before. We’ve also never got their take on a giant Ursula, a key aspect of The Little Mermaid’s climax. However, the main thing that could poke a hole in this theory is that Merrin Dungey is currently a regular on the new ABC show, Conviction.
So, what’s up with Deb? Why is she not as innocent as we might have thought. Amy made it sound like Deb was just like her.

HOROWITZ | I’d say the finale wraps up the story of Season 1 and hopefully satisfies the audience in answering all of the questions we set up for this season’s story, while acknowledging that there’s a bigger story at play that hopefully we go to on and tell more stories from Camp Stillwater throughout the years. The approach of this series is that each series would be a different summer at the camp in a different era.
KITSIS | We’re very inspired by Fargo, the anthology. People will be connected. Season 2 would be 1970, the summer Deb was a counselor … and there could potentially be a Season 3 set in 2004 where one of these kids — if anyone survives — is now the director.Honestly, I’m intrigued with the idea of having other Seasons set in different eras. However, based on the ratings, I just don’t think Freeform will renew it. Is this going to be like Wonderland, where the quality suddenly really ramps up too little too late? While I did enjoy Wonderland as a whole, I still admit that the initial batch of episodes dragged on a bit. Still better than the earlier episodes of Dead of Summer, but the overall idea remains the same.
In the event that this is 20,000 Leagues, I bet we’ll get a CGI giant squid, which we technically already got in “Nasty Habits”. You know what that would mean? More squid ink for Jeremy!
Amy being evil the entire time was a great twist, and one that none of us really guessed, if I’m not mistaken. The first thing it reminded me of was the twist they did for “Sympathy of the De Vil”, which in itself worked. I’m honestly considering re-watching the earlier episodes at some point, now knowing the truth behind the earlier events of the series.
