Looks like IMDB is correct. Dr. Lydgate is back.
[adrotate group="5"]I see mostly this being a Emma centric bc i see any centric Aladdin/jasmine with flashbacks being called ” A whole new world”.
The original leaked title was called “Diamond in the Rough”, though. So I still think it will be Aladdin focused. Not to mention, Jasmine is set to make her debut in “Strange Case”. “Strange Case” is going to be Jekyll/Hyde centric, so Jasmine might only appear for near the end of the episode, to connect to the next episode.

Aladdin and Emma are both saviors, so that makes the most sense to have it be an Emma centric episode along with Aladdin. Also, just recently the writers said they would love to explore more of Neal and Emma’s past in flashbacks. It makes me wonder if Neal and Emma are the ‘street rats’ in question.
I suspect that it will be Aladdin and Jasmine getting the flashbacks for this episode, not Emma. I’m sure there will be parallels with Emma, but those will likely be present day scenes.
I also sense that we’ll be getting even more parallels between Aladdin and Emma in this episode. The title is plural for a reason. Evil Queen Regina calls Emma a street rat in a deleted scene from “There’s No Place Like Home”, and so does Lily’s adoptive father in a deleted scene from “Breaking Glass”.
Welp, Adam has tweeted the title, and in a twist the episode is now titled “Street Rats”:

Now that really was Norman’s Instagram account that posted the title page, before he deleted it. So was the title change in response to the leak, or is there another possible explanation for this? Oh well, “Street Rats” is now the title, either way.
I kinda doubt it. In one of the recent Hot Seats they made it sound like they weren’t going to touch the Genie.
Yeah, they made it sound like we won’t be seeing the Genie at all. Or they might mean that if we do see a Genie for Aladdin, he won’t be modeled off of the iconic Robin Williams Genie. He could simply be Sidney, Cyrus, or one of Cyrus’ brothers.
Some hope that they’ll at least acknowledge Anastasia.
